Starbucksunwilling to comp drink after providing an unsatisfactory one

On Tuesday, October 10, 2017, I purchase a Vente Maple Pecan Latte from the Starbucks located at 100 SW Main, Portland, Oregon. After drinking almost half of a very bitter drink, I swirled my cup around out of habit and the next sip was so sweet that I was unable to finish the drink. I suspect that the syrup was all in the bottom of the cup and had not been mixed properly. I work for a federal agency across the street and was heading to a meeting and unable to return to the store to ask to have the drink replaced. I returned to the store today and presented them with the order ticket for my drink, explained what had happened and asked if they would comp my drink to replace the one I had to through away. Jessica, the supervisor, was standing nearby and overheard my request. She jumped in and said that she wouldn't do that. I explained that it seemed like the right thing to do and that I purchase my coffee there often and spend hundreds of dollars there. She was unpleasant and said something to the fact that people ask for free drinks all the time and she just won't do that. I am a nicely dressed 44-year-old professional and I told her that there was no reason she couldn't trust that I was being honest. I asked to speak with the manager and she went in the back to get him/her. While she was gone the very nice barista said for future reference to try to come back right away so the barista could provide a free drink card. The supervisor returned and said she couldn't find that manager but that she was the supervisor and she couldn't help me with that. As she started to walk away I said wait, I would still like to place an order and I did so, ordering a tall vanilla bean frappuccino for my daughter and a venti Maple Pecan Latte for myself. I also asked Jessica to write down the phone number so I could call later to speak with the manager — which she did. When I received my drink it was a grande. The barista asked me if she wanted me to remake it and I said no and not to worry about it. I did check the sticker on the cup and it said grande so that's what I paid for, but the supervisor did take my order incorrectly. Because I saw that I could issue a complaint on-line, I do not plan to call back. I would like this resolved by receiving a free venti latte for the one I had to throw away and an additional one for the time and frustration of dealing with this. Thank you.
