non receipt of w2's and wage theft
My 17 yo daughter worked for Sonic in Olathe, KS. Over the course of her 9 months her Store Manager & Assistant Manager took her tips from her saying she was "short" on her tickets. Sometimes this was $100 at a time! There were even times when 3 of the workers where all short over $30 each, heck of a coincidence?! Another time there was an issue where a coupon showed it came off of someone's bill, however, when my daughter went back in the main computer showed the original amount due so the manager told my daughter that he would fix it. The next day when she showed up to work the manager said he could not fix the coupon and it was not fair to make HIM cover it he would split the amount owed with my daughter and he made her pay $16! My daughters hours & the tips she reported were also changed so that Sonic would not have to pay her at a higher wage. Eventually, the local owners offices of this Sonic paid my daughter for stolen wages, etc. but others there were not.
Now I am pissed because my daughter did not receive a W2 from the HQ. I have repeatedly called them and they are giving me the run-around: keep waiting, we haven't received it back, we can't give you a new one, etc. I had to go online to their preparer and pay $10 for something Sonic is to provide my daughter but refused. I want my money back! I am seriously considering finding legal counsel for a class-action lawsuit against them for theft of tips, loss of pay, hours being changed and having to pay for tax papers.
Not all Sonic's are bad. This location isnt the best. I always give a place at least 2 or 3 chances before I give a bad review. But I'm not giving anymore chances to this place. More than one occasion my order has been wrong, and the service is less than average. This place really needs some work. The food itself, isn't bad. If you get the right order and its not handed to you by a rude person.
my sonic card
I have tried for at least 6 months to load my son's sonic card. I just went to the website on my laptop and signed in to my account. It states, "The sonic drive in store is temporarily disabled." This is what it has said since I tried last Aug. I have also downloaded the phone app & it says, "An unknown error occurred. The requested action may or may not have been processed successfully. Seriously, this is crap. Why have an app or a website to use if neither one of them work? So I have to go to the drive in and reload my card? I tried that and they said to do it online.
So does this mean that you don't want my business? Get this crap fixed.
overcharge on bill
In Mexico Mo sonic drive in on Saturday night we stopped in and ordered 2adult combo meals and a kids meal. They had a hard time with the order so was not surprised when it was wrong. First of all we could not understand how this could cost $27+ as they said but when they delivered it there was a extra sandwich that cost $4.49 we notified them and they took the sandwich and the receipt. When they come back they brought $1.10. We said we did not agree with this. They again took the receipt in and said they would check it. After 20 min they had not returned so we left as we were not going to get any more money back.
unethical behavior by employee
My son (who is a minor) works at the sonic drive in henderson ky. he has worked there for year and a half without incident until now. on sunday january 24 my son called me from work because another employee by the name of rachel baker used explicit language toward my son and became confrontational against him. a few weeks prior to this incident there was a verbal altercation where she called my son a racist and other names that due to the explicit nature of the names I will not mention. when he defended himself she then slapped him with the back of her hand on his stomach. I have spoken to other employees that have heard the things that she has said and have witnessed her behavior but are intimidated by her. I have another son that works at same establishment as well and she has made derogatory comments about his father to him. I have confronted her and she denies all of it. I insist that this woman be dealt with and will not tolerate her verbal abuse or physically touching my son at work. he no longer feels safe at work while she is there and I would rather that he not be there if she is scheduled at the same time. I would prefer that she be dismissed from her position but realize that I have no say so in her punishment. I however am not comfortable with either of my sons working with this employee. if needed I will contact legal representation.
rotten hamburger meat
on Jan 9th me and my family went to sonic on Airways Blvd in Southaven ms we got 2 of the Meal deals for 9.99 . We got 3 burgers and one footlong when we got home the footlong was fine but all the of the burgers smelled rotten we thought maybe we were just smelling something else but as we all three bite in to the burger it was immediately spit out it tasted aweful . I immediately called and a young man answered phone I told him the siduation and he said he would write my name down and we could come get another meal I told him I could not come till around 1000 pm to get the food because we were going to the monster truck show and I didn't have time to come back when I went back my name was not written down and we did not get our meal I will not come to that sonic again if I ever go to a sonic my family was very dissatisfied and we will spread the word of how nothing was done due to someone not following thru with writing my name down I should have gotten his name but I had 3 kids with me who were hungry and we were headed to an event I had my hands full very Disappointed Angie Short

The manager Melanie at Sonic Drive In Church Point Louisiana is not a friendly manager. I secretly shop at sonic at least three times a week and every time I am there service is slow the manager is either fussing an employee showing no professional skills nor respect towards the customers. Last week on Friday and Saturday I went in for my regular order and the service was horrible. I blame management. on December 14, 2015 my husband and i went to sonic for dinner we ordered to foot long coney dog combo meals with tater tots my drink was dr. pepper his was sprite, but they brought him a hi c fruit punch, he didnt complain about that part but no silverware and burnt tater tots was to much for me so i complained, got new tots they needed to change the oil cuz they were still gross so i just threw them away.

My wife and I ordered and received a small sweet green tea each on 12/4/2015 around 8:30 PM, from a Sonic Drive Inn in Lexington, NE. I don't know what it was, but it was the worst tasting drink it has been my displeasure to try to drink. It was absolutely awful. Unfortunately, we were driving on I-80 and I did not attempt to drink whatever it was until I was back on road and didn't want to turn around and complain to the management of the store. I shall never order this particular item again. I don't know how Sonic manages its quality control, but if this is any example, they person in charge must have very interesting tastes.

I have been going to Sonic Drive Ian's for over 25 years but after today I am through. We had a coupon buy a sonic cheeseburger combo and receive a free sonic cheeseburger. My order was a sonic cheeseburger combo with a diet lemonade and upgrade the French fries to onion rings and then a regular sonic cheeseburger with a diet coke. I received the combo with both French fries and onion rings . I was charged for both as well as both drinks. When I complained both to the carhop and the manager I did not get any satification and was told in so many words they were not interested in my concerns. I will not bother the sonicdrive in's again. I feel the thing I was overcharged for was the fact I ordered only onion rings and I do not feel I should have had to pay for two drinks when one as a combo. The General Manager at Sonic in Saint Mary's GA on Charlie Smith SR. Highway is very unprofessional. She is giving the Sonic a bad name. If there are Regional Managers they need to come to see how Managers operate. Most of the employees are teenagers and young adults. You need to have leads that set an example with professionalism and not one that talks down to their employees and makes rude remarks to them and shows favoritism. I never want anybody to lose their job but there are some changes, improvements and training that needs to take place at this location. In addition its about time to clean that place up. It looks old and tattered. I guess that's what happens when your General Manager doesn't insist on making employees clean properly.
