Sonic Drive-In non receipt of w2's and wage theft

My 17 yo daughter worked for Sonic in Olathe, KS. Over the course of her 9 months her Store Manager & Assistant Manager took her tips from her saying she was "short" on her tickets. Sometimes this was $100 at a time! There were even times when 3 of the workers where all short over $30 each, heck of a coincidence?! Another time there was an issue where a coupon showed it came off of someone's bill, however, when my daughter went back in the main computer showed the original amount due so the manager told my daughter that he would fix it. The next day when she showed up to work the manager said he could not fix the coupon and it was not fair to make HIM cover it he would split the amount owed with my daughter and he made her pay $16! My daughters hours & the tips she reported were also changed so that Sonic would not have to pay her at a higher wage. Eventually, the local owners offices of this Sonic paid my daughter for stolen wages, etc. but others there were not.
Now I am pissed because my daughter did not receive a W2 from the HQ. I have repeatedly called them and they are giving me the run-around: keep waiting, we haven't received it back, we can't give you a new one, etc. I had to go online to their preparer and pay $10 for something Sonic is to provide my daughter but refused. I want my money back! I am seriously considering finding legal counsel for a class-action lawsuit against them for theft of tips, loss of pay, hours being changed and having to pay for tax papers.

Not all Sonic's are bad. This location isnt the best. I always give a place at least 2 or 3 chances before I give a bad review. But I'm not giving anymore chances to this place. More than one occasion my order has been wrong, and the service is less than average. This place really needs some work. The food itself, isn't bad. If you get the right order and its not handed to you by a rude person.

Sonic Drive-In my sonic card

I have tried for at least 6 months to load my son's sonic card. I just went to the website on my laptop and signed in to my account. It states, "The sonic drive in store is temporarily disabled." This is what it has said since I tried last Aug. I have also downloaded the phone app & it says, "An unknown error occurred. The requested action may or may not have been processed successfully. Seriously, this is crap. Why have an app or a website to use if neither one of them work? So I have to go to the drive in and reload my card? I tried that and they said to do it online.

So does this mean that you don't want my business? Get this crap fixed.

Sonic Drive-In overcharge on bill

In Mexico Mo sonic drive in on Saturday night we stopped in and ordered 2adult combo meals and a kids meal. They had a hard time with the order so was not surprised when it was wrong. First of all we could not understand how this could cost $27+ as they said but when they delivered it there was a extra sandwich that cost $4.49 we notified them and they took the sandwich and the receipt. When they come back they brought $1.10. We said we did not agree with this. They again took the receipt in and said they would check it. After 20 min they had not returned so we left as we were not going to get any more money back.

Sonic Drive-In unethical behavior by employee

My son (who is a minor) works at the sonic drive in henderson ky. he has worked there for year and a half without incident until now. on sunday january 24 my son called me from work because another employee by the name of rachel baker used explicit language toward my son and became confrontational against him. a few weeks prior to this incident there was a verbal altercation where she called my son a racist and other names that due to the explicit nature of the names I will not mention. when he defended himself she then slapped him with the back of her hand on his stomach. I have spoken to other employees that have heard the things that she has said and have witnessed her behavior but are intimidated by her. I have another son that works at same establishment as well and she has made derogatory comments about his father to him. I have confronted her and she denies all of it. I insist that this woman be dealt with and will not tolerate her verbal abuse or physically touching my son at work. he no longer feels safe at work while she is there and I would rather that he not be there if she is scheduled at the same time. I would prefer that she be dismissed from her position but realize that I have no say so in her punishment. I however am not comfortable with either of my sons working with this employee. if needed I will contact legal representation.

Sonic Drive-In rotten hamburger meat

on Jan 9th me and my family went to sonic on Airways Blvd in Southaven ms we got 2 of the Meal deals for 9.99 . We got 3 burgers and one footlong when we got home the footlong was fine but all the of the burgers smelled rotten we thought maybe we were just smelling something else but as we all three bite in to the burger it was immediately spit out it tasted aweful . I immediately called and a young man answered phone I told him the siduation and he said he would write my name down and we could come get another meal I told him I could not come till around 1000 pm to get the food because we were going to the monster truck show and I didn't have time to come back when I went back my name was not written down and we did not get our meal I will not come to that sonic again if I ever go to a sonic my family was very dissatisfied and we will spread the word of how nothing was done due to someone not following thru with writing my name down I should have gotten his name but I had 3 kids with me who were hungry and we were headed to an event I had my hands full very Disappointed Angie Short

Sonic Drive-In management

To Whom It May Concern: I am writing regarding some unnecessary experiences I have encountered at your location In Taos, NM. I have always loved to go to our local sonic drive-in. It only takes one person to make the whole business look undesirable. There has been quite a few times that I have had to deal your manager. She is a very rude unprofessional person. My Grand Daughter did not receive a complete kids meal. I called for the manager and her name was Felicia. I explained to her what the issue was with the meal. She proceeded to accuse me of taking items out of the bag and saying I did not receive them so that I could get those items free. I looked at her with despair. I could not believe what was happening. She so rudely walked away like nothing was the matter. I called on the intercom again and I asked if I could please get my money back or my complete order so I could leave. And She yelled at me and told me to hold on that she was busy with other customers. I waited for 20 minutes. I could see her looking out the drive thru window to where I was parked and she was talking with her co-workers and making hand gestures towards where we were parked. So I called through the intercom one more time and this time she answered and said, "Sorry we are closed". I couldn't believe what was actually happening over making my order correct. I didn't want a confrontation so I proceeded to McDonalds for a Happy Meal. I went back the following day about the same time after work and went through the drive through window. This time, while waiting for my order at the window, I saw and heard her say very loudly, "There is that lady from yesterday I told you guys about, make that b**ch wait, tell her to pull up to the curb". So I paid for my food and I waited for almost 35 minutes and my order never came out... so I walked inside and requested a refund...my order had been sitting in the back all that time. In anger once again, I took my food home to warm and found in my hamburger she had literally placed a raw patty in my burger and it seemed she had added some sort of sweetener to my drink...It was definitely not a Coke. My fries were partially raw as well. Hoping the next day would be different I decided to go in a different vehicle with a friend during our break. We didn't go through drive thru this time, we parked to eat there. Our carhop made sure our order was correct and complete and everything was cooked to order as requested. While sitting in the car eating, we noticed Felicia getting into a car next to ours. A few minutes passed when we started to smell the odor of marijuana. We looked over and smoke was coming out a slightly opened window on her vehicle. She was unaware of us observing what she was doing and that the smoke from inside her car was coming out the back window and blowing towards ours. It seemed she was smoking pot in her car during break or possibly still on the clock. She was in uniform. She made sure when she exited the vehicle that she sprayed some sort of air freshener or perfume in her car and on herself. As a former business owner I found it to be very unprofessional. The gentleman parked on the other side of us, knocked on our window and asked, "Did you see what the manager of this restaurant was doing? She was smoking pot on the job, she needs to get her ### fired!" He mentioned that he was no longer coming to take his family back to Sonic if it was being run by a Pot Head. Not only have I had these bad experiences but so have several other people I have talked to about my experience. The main problem in your business is this individual named Felicia. I don't know what it will take to make me wanna go back again. I wouldn't be surprised if you have had several other complaints about this person. Car hops that we have encountered there have been wonderful. If I were you I would definitely give this individual a surprise drug test or better yet replace her with an individual that will be a good asset to your business. Please take this complaint into consideration. Sincerely, A very dissatisfied Customer

Sonic Drive-In an assistant manager

Back on Monday December 28, 2015 I was told to shut my f****** mouth by a assistant manager when I wasn't saying anything for her to talk to me like that. No manager has a right talking to me like that or any other employee .It is very unprofessional. She was getting ready for a managers meeting with the general manager sitting right there and he didn't say nothing to her. they are always complaining about my job not done and the reason its not always done is because of them sending me home early and I'm not getting all my hours and they sometimes don't have me on schedule. It happen at Sonic drive in in many, Louisiana

Sonic Drive-In manager and employee harassment and company liability on skates

My daughter job walk off the job for sonic drive-in in nederland, texas on nederland avenue (12/29) and I would like answers and to explain why. First off she was required to wear skates which was not explained to her when she hired on there. She feel two weeks ago (Week of 12/15) and really hurt her back (A customer actually helped her up, not her manager), probably caused permanent damage from her skates coming out from under her when she was trying to stop at the car she was serving. Well they took her off the schedule for about a week then when she went back they got upset with her and made her put her skates on, but no one else had to put them on that night. I would say this is harassment and also a liability to sonic for them to make them wear their skates with no option and also only make one employee do this. I want answers and I want them now! The manager on duty was named dylan and the other is megan, also there is disgruntled employee named lucinda that constantly harasses and is ugly to the younger employees. This place is very unprofessional. The manager, when my daughter decided to leave because she didn't think it was fair for her only to have to put her skates on (And was also scared to fall again), threw her paperwork at her. Very unprofessional! I have heard things about this sonic before. I think you guys need to make it optional for skates because I am telling you, someone will end up suing sonic for this. I dont want my daughter having permanent damage from being a carhop at sonic! That's ridiculous!

Sonic Drive-In a manager/ supervisor

Port Keough Jr. steals money from the carhops when they make a money drop. October & November 2015 this happened to a couple different carhops, one of them being my daughter. November 15, 2015 Port came into work drunk. Then when another manager came in he clocked out & left work before next manager was even on the clock. There has been many times employees have went to other managers(Francis, Chris & Ariel) about ports theft & drunkness. Chris just says they will check on it. Still nothing has been done, he still has his job.

I went to the drive thru in Raleigh, NC (Jones Franklin Road) on 8/9/17 around lunchtime and was waited on by a manager I've never seen nor heard of (Gabriel). He was really rude to me as I was preparing to pay for my food when he opened the drive thru window. I asked him about purchasing a particular slushy (not originally ordered) and he interrupted me and never allowed me to finish making my statement stating I have another customer in my ear and closed up the drive thru window. He was rude, unprofessional, and his service was awful. Generally the service at this location is good, but it sucked this day. He needs better customer service and communication skills with dealing with the public. He needs to go back through management training all over again. It was a turn off for me and I won't be visiting this location for awhile if ever again. This was a bad experience. How can he possibly be an example for his staff.

Sonic Drive-In management service

The manager Melanie at Sonic Drive In Church Point Louisiana is not a friendly manager. I secretly shop at sonic at least three times a week and every time I am there service is slow the manager is either fussing an employee showing no professional skills nor respect towards the customers. Last week on Friday and Saturday I went in for my regular order and the service was horrible. I blame management. I do not feel as if she is in full compliance and going off the rules and regulations from kergan brothers. Something needs to be done with the manager immediately.

Sonic Drive-In food was terrible

on December 14, 2015 my husband and i went to sonic for dinner we ordered to foot long coney dog combo meals with tater tots my drink was dr. pepper his was sprite, but they brought him a hi c fruit punch, he didnt complain about that part but no silverware and burnt tater tots was to much for me so i complained, got new tots they needed to change the oil cuz they were still gross so i just threw them away.

Sonic Drive-In sweet green tea

My wife and I ordered and received a small sweet green tea each on 12/4/2015 around 8:30 PM, from a Sonic Drive Inn in Lexington, NE. I don't know what it was, but it was the worst tasting drink it has been my displeasure to try to drink. It was absolutely awful. Unfortunately, we were driving on I-80 and I did not attempt to drink whatever it was until I was back on road and didn't want to turn around and complain to the management of the store. I shall never order this particular item again. I don't know how Sonic manages its quality control, but if this is any example, they person in charge must have very interesting tastes.

Sonic Drive-In overcharge

I have been going to Sonic Drive Ian's for over 25 years but after today I am through. We had a coupon buy a sonic cheeseburger combo and receive a free sonic cheeseburger. My order was a sonic cheeseburger combo with a diet lemonade and upgrade the French fries to onion rings and then a regular sonic cheeseburger with a diet coke. I received the combo with both French fries and onion rings . I was charged for both as well as both drinks. When I complained both to the carhop and the manager I did not get any satification and was told in so many words they were not interested in my concerns. I will not bother the sonicdrive in's again. I feel the thing I was overcharged for was the fact I ordered only onion rings and I do not feel I should have had to pay for two drinks when one as a combo. It was the sonic on Highway 52 in Rockwell, NC

Sonic Drive-In appearance of the restaurant curb

As of November 16, 2015, I noticed a car that had been parked for at least two consecutive days at the under the curb awning along the edge of the parking lot - not the curb next to the building, but the other curb, in a spot where a customer would normally park to submit an order. I believe that the car belongs to an employee there because I've noticed it before. The car was sitting on a floor jack and the left rear wheel had been removed. I saw it for at least two consecutive days. I have a suspicion that the car belongs to one of the employees and that the employee is doing work on it whenever possible. I've noticed a change in the appearance of some of the employees there recently. Hygiene seems to have taken a downward turn - one male who brought an order to my car had very dirty hands and fingernails. I see male & female employees walking around outside smoking cigarettes. This particular Sonic restaurant is close to where I live and it has been pretty consistent in good service and employees who seem to understand how to treat and behave around customers. I'm not going back to this location until I see that the car has been removed.

Sonic Drive-In food

I get at sonic at 3.00pm order pickleos sonic blast 15 min later pickloes came out no blast carry back in 35 min later blast and cold pickleos came out cup wasnt wiped down icream all down the side.There was 1 car to my right eating 1 truck to my left eating .I saw 4 people go in came out with there food within minutes of going in there, so they had to have worked there this is not the first time here .Old man and woman across from me got there stuff before me and i had been there few min.

Sonic Drive-In order wrong

How can the Sonic drive in in Gulf Breeze Fl get the order wrong 6 different times? What is the point of putting numbers on the menue if nobody making the food knows how to make them. What is so hard about a #2 large size and a large coke. I does not matter what time of day or night I go its the same. It seems like the manager does not supervise or just hires people to fill a spot. Sonic used to be a favorite place to eat but my money will go someplace else now

SONIC drive in: 6122 N. Broadway, Park City, Ks. 67219 . . . 10/28/15 @ 2:46pm Order: 1 medium diet Dr Pepper Four other cars in ordering stalls and yet it took 11 min to receive my drink! I am a SONIC counessure of SONIC products! I think I have had one of everything, and am on first name basis with some of the car servers in Newton, KS . . . but really . . . 11 min for one single drink?

Sonic Drive-In bottled water

I went to the sonic in tahlequah, ok on my lunch break ordered a chicken wrap with an ice water was told they could not sell me an ice water only bottled water. This company is a drink stop and they couldn't even sell me a damn ice water. An ice water! On top of the girl working the intercom was extremely rude about the whole situation.

Sonic Drive-In double cheese burger

I was eating my burger purchased from sonic an as I continue to eat the burger took another bite it was hard as I looked harder there was a paperclip! I drove to sonics to ask for a manager, the assistant manager (I think his name was jeremy) came out after seeing the burger was in shock and said o! Took the burger inside came back out and asked, "what would you like us to do?" would you like your money back, another burger? I asked what do you think should be done? Jeremy then says huh let me go back in and ask the manager? I said o is mr. Hugh pearson here in which his name is listed as general manager/partner still as indicated on the sign. Jeremy then states o hugh doesn't works here any more, jeanette's our manager now. Asked where is she? O do u want me to go get her? I said she should of been out here already considering the facts! Jeremy asst. Manager states o umm I would give you a gift card for $10 but our machine is down! Here comes jeanette now no sign of jeremy o sorry our machine is down I can't give you a gift card! Umm do u have a receipt? No not with me well there's nothing I can do without it, I need it to void the order out! I asked where's the burger o we threw it in trash I said o well I took pictures! That sonic in moncks corner they seem to only higher kids! The turn over rate is extremely at a record breaking high and as much as you would enjoy the food you never know what you're gonna get into! If they burn the burger the still fix it and let it go! Whatever if is? Yes they would replace it only if u have a reciept but you always have to take a second drive to and from that's not compensated for tonight was enough! This was the last straw!

Several times, too many to count, I have experienced problems. To the completed order being wrong, missing items that I paid for. and the food I do get is incorrect. Even the blasts I have gotten don't have a mix-in. it just a cup of plain ice cream. i also got food poisoning at one of the locations, This has happened so many times, that I have decided to boycott Sonic altogether.

Sonic Drive-In gift card

I have tried to buy a $50.00 gift card from Ripley, TN Sonic for the last 5 months and am always told they do not have any. I talked to the manager and he said they were having problems getting them. I went to the Sonic in Alamo, TN and bought one, I ask if they had any problems getting the cards and was told NO. I told them my experience at Ripley and was told there was no problem getting them it was Ripley not ordering them. Someone needs to address this with the manager at the Ripley Sonic.
