Sept. 13th, 2026. yesterday while I was able to check out a 1/2 gallon of 2% fat milk, I was horrified to find rodent droppings attached directly to the bottle. This strongly indicates a severe pest infestation within the store. When I brought this to the Customer Service desk, the representative handed me a white binder with loose notebook paper and asked me to write down my complaint manually, instead of providing an official incident form or escalating the matter professionally.
This is unfortunately not the first time I have experienced food safety issues at this location. Over a year ago, I purchased a Coffee Mate creamer, only to find after opening the cap that the foil seal had already been broken and there was pubic hair contamination near the bottle opening. When I returned it, the customer service representative simply issued a refund with complete indifference, taking no formal record of the contamination.
Combining today's rodent droppings with the previous incident and the casual way my complaint was handled today, it is clear that there is a systemic failure in hygiene management, safety protocols, and staff accountability at this store.
Desired outcome: 1) Immediate pest control inspection and sanitation at the East Brunswick store.2) A review of the customer service complaint handling procedures at this branch.
