I scheduled an appointment for a possible UTI on Dec 1,2023 at the Embrun ON location. I checked in with a pharmacy employee when I arrived. I was told to wait until I was called. There were several people waiting and we discussed what time our appointments were scheduled for. After waiting over 30 minutes I realized that people who had a later appointment were being called before me.
When I approached the pharmacist he said that there was no way he could see me. To come back in 6 hours. When I explained that I was in pain from the suspected UTI. He raised his voice and screamed that’s too bad. I don’t have the time. I felt disrespected and embarrassed in front of other customers. I had done nothing wrong except inquire why others were being called before me. I spoke with the store manager in tears. No one has called me back.
I will never use their services again. I trusted that they would offer the care they advertised.
Claimed loss: I loss time off work to attend an appointment that I had scheduled prior to arriving. Drive time of almost 2 hours.
Desired outcome: At minimum an apology. Pharmacist should receive some kind of disciplinary action for bringing a customer to tears. I’m 62 years old and was bullied at by a much larger man.
