Shoppers Drug Mart review: Customer service manager

Regarding: Rita, Female Vietmese Costumer Service manager.

I understand people have hard days. I understand the shopper’s location, right next to royal Columbia hospital. I can in asking for cash back and the cashiers were hesitant, but I kindly asked. From my understanding, shoppers always allowed me to get cash back. Rita told me to go to the bank. Rita seemed visibly upset when I again asked for cash back. I also saw her cashiers seemed very terrified of Rita too.

Because I was able to observe her cashiers did not feel safe around Rita, this was the reason of this post. Every shoppers I’ve been to has been incredibly pleasant, I was shocked and hurt that Rita seemed so angry at me for asking for cash back. I tried my best to deescalate the problem but I’m sure you cameras could see Rita seem very unhappy with my request.

I understand it’s going to be Xmas, perhaps people are stressed. As a manager, I would hope to be able to provide a healthy work environment and provide the following information and prepare what are the policies for every costumer coming into my store. I would have suggested the following: “I want to give you cash back but I would be so stressed and pressured at the end of the day to give the very little change I have left. Are you alright going to the bank?”

Anyways, I do see Rita is a hard worker. Communication takes many conversations and I truly believe Rita will succeed. Thank you Shoppers for taking this time to how can we better put healthy feedback. We can only try our best. This experience also allowed me to also reflect how I can read a room and I proud I tried my best.
