Went to Sheets location In Transfer Pa. 270 Edgewood Drive Ext. with my Girl. on 8/30/20 She waited five min for a lady using the Lottery Machine. When I can out the main store to the Vestibule where the Lottery machine and ATM are, I too decided to by several tickets. When I went to collect my tickets one fell through a slot in the machine and into the bottom inside. We went in and asked if they had access to the machine. They did. They sent a Manager. When the Mgr (Krystina Thomas) My girl said sorry for the inconvenience as she was opening the machine. She did not respond verbally or even look our way. My Girl said "That was rude" quietly to me. Once the machine was open. The manager immediately said "there no ticket down there" with a snappy matter of fact tone. At the same time my girl and I saw a ticket standing on its edge against something. And pointed to it. The manager said oh that been there! I said can I see it as she picked it up. When she turned it over I said that my ticket as it was the same "Skeeball" ticket, as the one in my had since I bought two. She continued to hold the ticket as if she didn't believe it was mine. I then looked at the one in my hand and pointed out that it was the next number in the sequence. 28. The one in the machine was 27. Proof it was my ticket. She handed me the ticked locked the machine and turned with an attitude headed back into the store. My girl said how rude, this time out loud. And went to our vehicle. I followed the manager inside asking if she was a Mgr. She ignored me three times. Until I said loud enough for other customers to hear. As she was now about 20 ft away and headed to the rear of the store. EXCUSE ME! I need to speak to a Mgr. She said She was a Supervisor. I said "are there any other Managers on the shift. She said there was a guy supervisor. I said well I would like to speak with him, and waited. Joe Pacifico a younger man came out and at first began to excuse her behavior as being tired and frustrated or something. I stopped him and said there is no excuse for the way we were just treated. And All I need is her name Employee number or whatever I can use to identify that employee. I am a Black man My Girl is white. This is an area where few Black people live and known to be racist. So I wasn't totally surprised. But she never apologized after basically calling me a liar, twice. Saying there were no tickets without out even really looking. Then claiming the ticket had been there. A Simple"you were right there it is" would have done. She said nothing and left like we were such an Inconvenience to her. The other Mgr Joe Pacific was totally professional and readily gave me the information I needed. I am a small business owner in this region and Treat every one of my customers with dignity and respect. I am 61 years old and expect to be treated the same whenever I choose to patronize a business. There is a Sheetz every several blocks in my area. But There are also other Convenience store which I and my employee's frequent. I will not be patronizing Sheetz until receive a reply and an apology from Sheetz and know that some corrective action has been taken to ensure that such rudeness is not tolerated. As I told Joe I will not be treated like that.. not in 2020. While no mention of race was made I feel it was a part of the reason we were treated the way we were by this person. Especially a Manager or team leader, who sets the example for other employee's. Thank you for your time and attention. I will be awaiting your reply.
