We made the mistake of purchasing a timeshare membership with Sapphire Resorts and I feel we have made the biggest mistake. Unfortunately, I am fighting this battle alone because my husband has since passed and I am left with this burden. I have uncovered so many things about this timeshare purchase that are not true at all. Please do not get involved with this company and its promises to give you an affordable vacation package at a low cost. We have had nothing but trouble since our start with them. We were promised a free trip to Hawaii and discounts on other destinations if we purchased the timeshare. Was told would be different than any other: no problems with availability, no fees, advanced search options, can roll over unused points, etc. Have owned this for several years and never been able to use. Upgraded several times and charged extra maintenance fees, was going to use the advanced search but you had to pay >$200 to set it up, to roll over points have to pay a fee. I am writing this complaint to express my deep concern over the poor service and false advertising provided by this company. I was sold a timeshare with multiple locations and unlimited vacation access, but unfortunately, my experience has been anything but what was promised.
I was informed that my maintenance fees were to be paid in April and would be $486 per year. However, I received a bill for $536 in January, which was taken directly from my checking account without my consent or prior knowledge. This is completely unacceptable and a clear violation of my trust in the company.
Furthermore, despite giving a 90-day notice, I have experienced time and time again that nothing is available when I attempt to use my timeshare. This is not only disappointing but also frustrating, as it makes the entire process of booking a vacation both complex and laborious. The fact that I have been repeatedly told to call back after 30 days only to be met with no available options further adds to my dissatisfaction with the services provided by your company.
To make matters worse, I have discovered that our timeshare cannot be used at any time or for any length of time, as was originally advertised. The booking process is confusing and requires hours of waiting on hold and navigating convoluted online systems. This is not what was promised to me, and it is undoubtedly an unacceptable way to treat loyal customers who have invested a considerable sum of money.
It is time that your company addresses these issues immediately and find a satisfactory resolution. As a consumer, I have the right to demand and receive accurate information and quality service from your company. It is offensive and insulting to continue advertising a product that has failed to deliver what was initially promised.
The money spent on this timeshare could have been easily allocated elsewhere, towards better and more reliable vacation options.

My name is Sheilah Johnson and I have a timeshare withe Sapphire that is PAID in full. My ID# is 56953. I tried to book a room at the Jockey Club for the Super Bowl in 2024 and Sapphire told me I could not because I did not have any points but I was willing to pay cash. I started calling them in Jan. of 2023 and was told to call them in August of this year and when I did call them in August they said there were no more rooms available and I would have to go throughy RCI. Again my time share is PAID IN FULL I pay my maintenance fees on time so why did I have to wait and still could not book for Feb. of 2024. What is the purpose of having a timeshare if I can't book when I want to use it if I'm willing to pay cash.
Desired outcome: I would like to book a room for a room for the Super Bowl.
