Dear Customer Support,
I am writing to formally report an issue with a Samsung OLED 83" S85HD television that I purchased from Sam’s Club online on May 1, 2026, and had professionally installed on May 27, 2026.
While the picture quality when the TV is on is very good, I noticed a concerning issue immediately after installation. When the TV is turned off, visible screw marks or pressure points can be seen on the screen, especially when light reflects off it. This appears as if the screws or internal components are affecting the panel surface.
I contacted customer service on the same day (May 27, 2026), but unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. I was told that this was “physical damage” caused by installation. However, I would like to point out the following:
The mounting screws are properly aligned and tightened—not over-tightened.
The bracket screws on the back are in different positions than where the marks appear on the screen.
I own four other TVs in my home and have never experienced this issue before.
The marks are symmetrically visible across the panel, which suggests a potential manufacturing or structural issue rather than installation damage.
When I called again, a second support technician again attributed the issue to over-tightening, without adequately considering the evidence I provided.
I strongly disagree with this conclusion. Based on my experience, this appears to be a product defect, not user-caused damage. I am requesting a proper inspection, repair, or replacement under warranty.
I am disappointed with the handling of this case so far and hope for a more thorough and fair resolution.
Please advise on next steps.
Recommendation: Inspected before installation
That's a classic panel defect — the symmetry is a dead giveaway it's not your mounting. Demand a tier-2 tech or file a warranty claim directly with Samsung executive support; frontline reps just read scripts. Sam's Club might also help with a return if you push hard enough.
