There are many things to love about Sam's club and we have been members as far back as when there was only one in St Louis in Earth City. But for goodness sake get rid of the cattle call line up at the exit just to get out of the store with your purchase. Today, no kidding, there was a line of 15+ customers waiting for one person to check their receipt to get out of the store. I was not having it today and went around to leave telling the woman how ridiculous it was that after having to check myself out (to save time practically no cashiers anymore) I was expected to wait in line just to get out of the store with my purchase. Negating any benefit from self checkout or scan and go. She insisted that I needed to wait because in her words, "I just found three things that were not scanned." So for the sake of three things not scanned (probably boxes of crackers) 15 people wait like cattle after they have paid. But if I picked up a TV and walked out the entrance side, As I've seen done, no one will lift a finger to stop me. Because as I was told by an employee; "they are told, not to do anything about it". But at the exit lets inconvenience every paying customer that you expect to be their own cashier just to get out of the store. How bout you do a better job of monitoring your front end on your time rather than taking the customers time at the exit. The line isn't often as long as it was today but it should never be allowed to be that long. The person at the exit should have the good sense and authority to waive people through before such a line builds. Period.
