Sally Beauty Supply review: Working as an employee

Do not work at this Sally's! The manager would imply and accuse me of stealing for no reason at all. No proof, nothing I did was wrong or out of the ordinary just plain discrimination & judgement. The other girls (employee's) were stealing and do shady things while trying to blame me because I was the newest employee at the time. I was friendly and would go out of my way to clean or do extra things around the store but was always being watched or had remarks made to me that were inappropriate and unprofessional. They would stand behind the registers all day not doing a thing, sit In the back or be on their phones when no manager was around but talk crap about me when I would actually do things around the store. Seemed like a lot of hate and them trying to cover up for themselves. A bunch of drama. So if you just want to show up to work and do you, this isn't the place. Some of the employees here are young and immature. They don't know how to handle it and are too involved in others business instead of running a store. And don't get me started on how I've seen racism going on as well. Don't come into the store if you want a weird vibe that your stealing as well. I refused to just follow people around because they had a purse or because they might look a certain way or be a certain race. The problem I saw was that there is no one overseeing this store and the management they have. They claimed to have cameras but really don't. So there was no way for them to really see what was going on. Besides maybe one employee nobody else engaged with the customers, and another employee would stand at the register and try to take all the sales even when doing none of the work or talking to the customer. She was friends with the manger so it's obvious. The weirdest experience I've ever had. And I tried to have conversations about what was going on & it was always indirect talking behind my back or never coming to me professionally. This isn't a career kind of job it's a joke. I'm worth more than I would of ever made here & the way I was treated. It's not worth the paycheck or peace of mind. Corporate or higher up should really be checking on these stores and their employee's/ management.
