I have been trying to cancel service staring back on December 16, 2026. The contract was on a month to month after FIVE LONG years. There were so many issues with the service, or lack thereof, within those FIVE LONG years! Issues not only with the equipment but with the reporting of an alarm. On the equipment side, WHEN they could find a technician we were told we needed to buy this or that to make it work. We spent so much money in the adding the alarm system, then continually had to pay to add more.
We have been on a month to month for some months. I called several times with promises that "the cancelation department" would call me back of which they never did. I called daily, which was difficult as I DO have a life! One representative finally gave me the name and extention number of the person who is in charge of cancelling service. Amazingly, after 3 tries, she finally picked up.
Lynn, Ext 1191, said I needed to provide a letter request to cancel along with a copy of the death certificate. I did all that while she was on the line. This was on December 18, 2025. She said that the account paid until 1/1/2026 and would cancel at that time.
Imagine my surprise that our account was charged another monthly service fee on January 6, 2026! I called Lynn 4 times that day, no return call. I called several times that week.
I finally called the complaints line, Miley said she knows Lynn and will connect us. My call was put into VM. Even calling the complaints line is frustrating - the computer would state, you are 2nd in line, then one call ahead, then the computer would hang up. Had to call three times to actual have the call answered.
I finally spoke with Lynn again on 1/13/2026, she said the cancellation department was backed up due to holidays and that they had requested a copy of the death certificate of which I had sent a month earlier. She said she didn't think they needed it as the account was month to month. She promised that the account would be canceled by the next day and she would send me an cancelled email. Here it is 1/26/2026, no email cancellation. I have called multiple times every weekday and NO RETURN CALL!
Why does this company NOT cancel service when requested. They have taken money out of my account without my permission. I am going to the bank today to ensure that they cannot steel another $70 from me.
SO upset that a national company cannot be contacted, does not live up to their promises and nickel and dimes hard working folks at every opportunity! They do not have technicians in our area and must rely on one person from back east (Dan-who is great), to be in the Northwest before service can be provided. They do not monitor the service; we were told they would call if the alarm were activated. The first two (over 5 years ago) we received a call, none since. The alarm was rarely activated, but we should have received a call to ensure our family was safe.
Our service should be cancelled today. We should be reimbursed for the $70 they took out of the account without permission when I service was supposedly cancelled as of 12/18/2025!
I want the service cancelled!
