We have been in the process of getting an equity loan on our house. Our primary loan is through Rocket Mortgage at a 1.99% and I have on numerous times told them I don't want to refinance my loan to get cash out that I just wanted to apply for an equity loan. We started this process 9 months ago and they said we needed to raise our Credit score which we did then contacted them after working on it for 6 months. After everything was in place and we were ready to move forward they tell me they can't do the equity loan because the acre limit is 20 and we have 24. I can't tell you how disappointed I am in Rocket Mortgage. I have been a customer for 20 years starting with our Quicken loan and we have never been late on our mortgages. I would think being a long time customer they would make an exception for the 4 acres and push the loan through. After my Primary loan is paid off I will never apply for a loan through them. They lost a dedicated customer for life.
Claimed loss: I will have to start the loan process over again with another loan company with better customer relations. 9 months wasted on these people.
Desired outcome: Approve the acreage limit to push the equity loan through
