Mark B and his team were good. No problems. No aspects of their service or their information provided were left in question. Closing was clean, smooth and accurate. If I buy another home, I'd likely come back to Nutter again.

You cannot go wrong using JB Nutter. The service is exceptional. A REAL PERSON answers the phone! Communication is always prompt. Every question answered no matter how odd. We used them for our original mortgage and two refinances. Highly recommend.

My cash-out refinance was extremely smooth and efficient. If I had questions during the process, the were answered promptly, usually within ten minutes. Gina and her team, did an excellent job. From beginning to end my refinance was handled professionally and at no point did I feel pressured. I would HIGHLY recommend Nutter Home Loans for any mortgage needs.

The truly great aspect of Nutter loans is that they are the lender and servicer. They do not sell your loan. The loans they provide stay in house for the full repayment term. Mr. Nutter Sr. gave back to the local community. We are all faulty humans, we all need Grace and forgiveness. I chose Nutter since I believe they do their best to serve their customers and the local community.

We have used Nutter for over 20 years. No problems with our loans being sold to another company. (We had some problems in the past with other companies that sold our loans). I appreciate the ability to have a constant contact person in Matt E for this loan. He was our contact person to answer our questions and they are available through the entire process. It is a reassuring process.

James B Nutter provided excellent customer service during our refinance. They are the consummate mortgage professionals! A local long time Kansas City fixture that has retained that personal touch through clear, concise and friendly communication. The staff I dealt with were always responsive and timely in responses to our questions. This is our third mortgage with Nutter. Highly recommend James B Nutter!

For re-finance services, I was amazed at how swift and easy Nutter made it. It was difficult finding a VA re-fi for a secondary home, but these guys did it, at a great rate, and at tremendous savings for us. I was also pleasantly surprised to find they will be maintaining our mortgage rather than selling it. I can't attest yet for how great they are as a mortgage holder, but if it's at all as efficient and convenient as their re-fi processes, I wouldn't hesitate to give them five stars all around.

I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed my experience with the *** Team. Everyone was so helpful, pleasant and friendly. As a first-time home buyer, this experience has been a wonderful experience for me. From my very first conversation with ***, I knew that *** was the right place for my husband and I to be. I cannot find, nor did I find during this process, one thing that was a problem, issue or just unpleasant - whether it was in the document production or speaking with *** professionals

Nutter home loans was very helpful and provided the service exactly as they stated in their communications. I did have to reach out a few times to get status updates but overall they were very helpful and the process was easy to follow. The entire process only took a couple of extra weeks to complete but some of that is due to the number of people trying to refinance right now, the extra time I needed to get documents they required, and the COVID outbreak that makes doing business over the internet take a little longer. They are a great company to work with on your home loan. Their rate was the lowest I found after doing a lot of research so we're very happy.

Mark S----------- at Nutter, and his support team were fantastic helping us perform a cash-out VA Refinance. Mark carefully explained the differences between our prior VA refi for lower interest rate and the refi with cash out. Delays on my part getting documents; on inspectors' parts due to heavy refi demand and the Covid requirements prolonged the process a bit. However the Nutter Team was not delayed a bit. When they had the data, they literally ran with the process. I decided to stay with Nutter for the loyalty both ways. My past experiences with them have been great. Knowing my loan has a 90+% chance of staying with Nutter is true peace of mind. Team were friendly, informative, and very professional. I have, and will, recommend Nutter to friends.

My parents completed a reverse mortgage with Butter during the housing crash. The original paperwork stated that the family could purchase the house up to one year of my late parents death. Both parents passed 3 yrs ago and within 5 months, we were evicted from the home. Turns out that the house was never on the reverse mortgage, just a separate piece of property that was purchased at a different time than the property that the house sat on. Butter had over 10 years to discover this before my parents passing and never did. When my sister attempted to purchase the property from Butter, her offer was refused and the house sold at a much lower cost than what my sister was offering. Do not give your home away. Butter ended up making a huge profit, illegally.

We started a refinance with Nutter back in May. We sent everything they said we needed. Every couple of weeks they would come up with something else we needed to send, a lot of the time it was stuff that had already been sent. No communication between people! We had excellent credit scores and were told it shouldn't be any problem to get the re-finance. This went through May, June, July and well in to August. After investing around $1000.00 dollars, they asked us for a road maintenance agreement. We do not have one nor do we have an HOA. They could have gone to the title company to gather the info to make one, but instead wanted us to go strangers and ask for their warranty deeds! Who is going to give a stranger their warranty deed?! They told us without an agreement they could not continue. This should have been something discussed in May, lots of money and time earlier! They had no checklist of things they would need or any idea how to complete the loan. DO NOT GO TO THESE PEOPLE TO GET A VA RE-FINANCE! As far as that goes, I would strongly urge you to look elsewhere for any re-finance or mortgage. These people do not communicate with the clients or each other. This is my very first negative review on the ComplaintsBoard.com site, so that should tell you how upset I am with this business and how terrible they were to work with

i keep tellin these guys to stop sendin me crap in the mail but they dont listen. its like they dont care bout my wishes. im done with nutter home loans and their predatory ways. no more mail from them!

hey, so i been getting a ton of mail from nutter home loans and other peeps like them. like, seriously, it's like 6-7 times a week. and i ain't never given them permission to contact me. they must be buying my personal info from somewhere. but like, i don't want them to keep doing it. they need to stop and not sell my info to anyone else. that's just not cool.

Hey there, just wanted to share a serious issue I had with a loan from James B. Nutter. Loan number *** was paid off in Jan 2015 and closed. But today, I got a credit update from *** saying that on 1/21, your company sent an update to *** showing that I had late payments with your firm on 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, and 03. This is impossible as the loan was closed and paid off in Jan 2015. Your company's mistake has ruined my credit rating and put me at risk of financial trouble. Please fix this mistake ASAP!

JB Nutter refinanced our home in December and said our first mortgage payment would be due in February. I called them on January 9 because I didn't get any paperwork about the payment. I talked to *** at JB Nutter and he said he would get back to me. On January 10, Mr. called me back at 9:19 am and left a message saying our loan had been sold to *** and I should contact them to set up payments. I talked to *** and made a payment agreement with them. Then Mr. called me again on February 20 at 2:12 pm and said I needed to make the February payment. I reminded him that he left a voicemail on January 10 saying the loan had already been sold, and he said "OK, Thank you". After that, I got several calls from different JB Nutter representatives asking for the February payment. They didn't explain how they could collect on a payment for a loan they no longer held. They threatened me with late fees and a report to the Credit Bureau if I didn't pay by February 28th, so I made a payment over the phone for $2,504.50 (including a $7.50 service charge). I still don't understand why I had to pay on a loan they don't have anymore.
