I made a reservation for a 1 night stay at Sleep Inn at Fayetteville, NC when I got there there was no reservation under my name.
I booked 2 rooms on 8/12/23 for a 1 night stay on 9/9/23 at the Sleep Inn at Fayetteville, NC. Reservation #R1830779916, Itinerary #[protected] and Reservation #R333976709, Itinerary #[protected]. When I arrived at the Sleep Inn there were no reservations under my name. I called them and they then called the Sleep Inn and wanted me to go to another hotel. I refused to change hotels and they said that they would cancel my reservations and refund me the money in 7 to 10 days and that they were sending me an email confirming this. I have yet to receive that email. I had to pay for the 2 rooms at the Sleep Inn, so at this point I paid twice for these 2 rooms. Please help me with this issue. Thank you.
Desired outcome: I want this site to return my payment that they scammed me on.
Emotional stress
I receive a confirmation on 8/4/23 for stay on 8/12-13. When my family and I got there at Quality In in Waterbury Ct (came from Brooklyn NY), the motel had no reservation for us or available room. After hours of trying to reach reservation.com, a representation said they booked the wrong motel and would give me a refund.
It's now Sept.23 and I am told they will give me a refund because the motel told them I was a "no show". I called the motel who confirmed they did not have a reservation for me. They are still refusing to refund me. Quality Inn is saying it is Reservation.com fault and reservation.com is blaming the motel. I spoke to 2 representatives and a manager and the motel.
I WILL NEVER BOOK THROUGH RESERVATION.COM AGAIN OR STAY AT QUALITY INN.
Desired outcome: I want to be refunded the money I was charged for their mistake.
Full refund of $342.00
I booked what I thought were reservations directly through hotel. I was driving home day before I was traveling. My son called to say he has covid and to cancel trip. I called hotel and canceled without fees, etc. However, they said I need to cancel with Reservations.com. I said no, I booked directly through hotel website. They said no. I was flabbergasted that I was redirected to their website. I called Reservations.com at 4:45 PM and they said I would be charged full amount because deadline was 4:00 PM. I couldn't believe my ears that they would charge me. I didn't even know I booked through them to begin with.

Beware of Reservations.com: A Classic Bait-and-Switch Internet Scam
Reservations.com is located at 1390 N Orange Ave, Orlando, Fl. 32836. I had a terrible experience with this company and believe they are running an internet scam. The way it works is that when you want to reserve a room in a particular city, you search for it on the internet. A web page appears with the name of the hotel you want to book, so you make the reservation. In my case, the advertised cost on that fake web site indicated $99 a night. However, after paying for the reservation, I received an email confirmation from reservations.com with a charge of $133.56. I was confused and wondered where reservations.com got involved and why the charge was higher than the advertised price.
When I called reservations.com to cancel, the woman who answered the phone had a Pakistani accent and asked if I had read their cancellation policy. I had no idea that I was booking through reservations.com, so I had no knowledge of any cancellation policy. She told me that there was a fee to cancel and that I would still have to pay $14.99. To make matters worse, I found the actual hotel web page and discovered that the rooms could be rented for only $80 a night. This is a classic bait-and-switch operation by reservations.com, and it's not fair to consumers.
I filed a complaint with the Attorney General's Office in Florida over this scam. However, unless other people who have been ripped off by reservations.com follow up with their own complaint, reservations.com will continue to run their scam. The owner/operators of this internet scam need to be prosecuted and thrown into prison. If you've been burned by reservations.com, don't just sit there and complain. Get off your butt and file a complaint with the AG's office in Florida. You can do that on the internet. Let's put these scammers into prison!
I'm also sending a complaint to the US AG's office because of this nationwide scam. I encourage you to do the same. Send your complaint to the US Department of Justice at 950 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, Re: Internet Scam Complaint, Washington, D.C. 20530. It's time to take action against companies like reservations.com who are taking advantage of consumers.
Reservations.com: Profit Over Customer Service
I gotta say, this company is a real piece of work. I accidentally booked a hotel through Reservations.com when I thought I was on the actual hotel's website. Apparently, this is a common mistake because these companies like Reservations.com, Priceline, and Travelocity show up when you Google search for a specific hotel. That's mistake number one, if you ask me.
Then, I accidentally booked the hotel for the wrong day. I needed it on the 10th, but I made the reservation for the 9th. By the time I realized my mistake, I had already passed the cancellation date and time. I figured I could just modify the reservation for a day later, but nope. Reservations.com considers modifications to be the same as cancellations. They told me this over and over again, like a broken record.
I tried to get a refund because their policy doesn't say anything about modifications, only cancellations. They told me they would work on refunding me if I could provide proof from the hotel that they were willing to reimburse me. They sent me the same script in an email asking for a statement from the hotel saying they would refund me. They even said I could give them a contact person to call and verify the hotel's willingness to reimburse me. I gave them the contact person, but they said it wasn't enough. It was like talking to a brick wall.
Anyway, the hotel agreed to the refund and even sent an email back and forth with customer service. But Reservations.com made it so difficult for the hotel to make it happen that they eventually gave up and just gave me a reservation for the date I needed without charging me again. Shoutout to La Quinta Inn and Suites in Butte MT for showing what real customer service looks like.
As for Reservations.com, I'll be double-checking myself in the future to make sure I never make this mistake again. And if given the choice, I'll never use them again. It's clear they're only in it for the profit and don't care about helping their customers. Shame on them.
Terrible Customer Service and Hidden Fees: My Experience with Reservations.com
I wrote this review to let everyone know about my experience with Reservations.com. I also posted it on BBB so that more people can see it. I saw some similar stories to mine, but I want to share my experience to warn potential customers not to do business with them.
I was looking for a hotel for a single night and found Reservations.com. I thought it was the hotel's website, but it was actually Reservations.com. I entered my information to get to the billing summary, which was on the far right of the page and hard to see. I accidentally submitted my reservation while trying to pop up the billing summary. I immediately called their call center to cancel the reservation. However, there was a $14.99 service charge, which is ridiculous for using a service portal. I work in the industry, so I know how much these fees should be.
It took over 20 minutes for someone to answer my call. The service I received was terrible. The young man who answered kept putting me on hold without telling me why. I told him I wanted to cancel the reservation and get a refund, but he didn't seem to understand. It took another 20 minutes for him to tell me that the hotel had a 'No cancellation' policy, which I had already told him earlier. I am very unhappy with the customer service of Reservations.com.
I am going to contact the hotel directly to see if I can get the charge reversed. I hope that future users read this review before doing business with them. I don't want anyone else to make the same mistake I did. I lost a little under $20 because it was only for one night, but you could lose a lot more.
Beware of Reservations.com: Misleading and Overcharging Scam
So, me and my husband were trying to book a room at Ameristar and we accidentally ended up on reservations.com. Let me tell you, these guys are a total scam. They make it look like you're booking directly with the hotel, but you're not. They offered us a rate of $259 for the room, which we thought was reasonable. But then, after we put in our credit card info and hit "book," the total charges came back as $371.00! Plus an additional resort fee of $12.99 "Due at Property." We were so mad! We never would have paid that much if we had known. My husband called them right away to try to cancel, but they said it was non-refundable. Can you believe that? We had only booked it 5 minutes ago!
They did offer to cancel the reservation and put in a "request for refund," but they said it would take 7 days and they don't usually refund money. So basically, they were saying, "How about you don't get anything at all for your money and we'll just keep it, only we'll let you know in 7 days." What a racket! They're not providing any service, they're just skimming off the top.
And the worst part is, they're so misleading. They'll get themselves high on the Google results with a heading that looks convincingly like it's the actual hotel. You can't easily see what they're going to charge you. They'll smugly tell you that they showed you before you clicked the very last thing, but we didn't see it and we're used to looking.
They'll charge your credit card from "Travelscape LLC & Reservations.com," but it turns out to be "Benjamin & Brothers LLC DBA: Reservation.com" and they're in Florida. And if the hotel gets the reservation, they apparently won't have any info that it came from these people. I alerted Ameristar that they were doing this, but who knows if anything will come of it.
Anyway, I just wanted to warn you all to watch out for these guys. They're a total scam and I would steer clear.
Terrible Experience with Reservations.com: Lied About Location and Amenities, Scammed Me, and Unhelpful Customer Service
I had a terrible experience with Reservations.com. I tried to book a motel online but was unable to do so. I had to call their customer service and was put on hold for 20 minutes while the clerk looked for a better rate. By the time she returned, the room I wanted was already taken. She then recommended another room for twice the cost. I was in a hurry to book a room as I needed to get to Manitoba to bury my father who had recently passed away. I checked the map provided by Reservations.com and the property was shown near the Walmart center in Regina, Sk. I booked it as it was across the street from where I wanted to stay.
However, upon arrival, I realized that the motel was not where it was shown on the map. It was in the seedy part of town. I could have gotten a better rate if I had walked in off the street. Moreover, it was the same motel my husband and I had stayed at before the pandemic. The thermostat didn't work, the door didn't close properly, and I fell in the tub while taking a shower. We were also kept awake all night by a truck delivering drugs and prostitutes. In fact, the same truck was parked in the parking lot when I arrived.
I immediately left the motel as there was no way I was staying there alone or with anyone else. I contacted Reservations.com and had to speak to a manager as the clerk was not helpful. The manager's first question was if I had spoken to the motel clerk. I reminded her that I had not made the booking with the motel but with Reservations.com. She said that I had agreed to the no refund policy and if the motel was not willing to issue a refund, there was nothing they could do.
I reminded her that Reservations.com had lied about the motel's location and amenities. They had also scammed me by not immediately booking the room I asked for and keeping me on hold until it was no longer available. I also asked how she or anyone could think that the property they recommended to me was appropriate for a single woman or any decent person. She responded that she didn't understand what the lesser was and there was nothing she could do.
Overall, my experience with Reservations.com was terrible. They lied about the motel's location and amenities and scammed me by not immediately booking the room I asked for. The customer service was unhelpful, and the manager didn't understand my concerns. I would not recommend using Reservations.com for booking accommodations.
Unsettling Experience with Reservations.com: Strange Questions and Privacy Concerns
So, I just called this company to book a room in the town where I live. I thought it was the actual hotel website. First off, I could not hardly understand the lady I was talking to. She spoke very broken English. That is not something I would complain about though. The reason for my issues is that when booking a room, she told me the hotel had rooms available. She went trough the typical questions, "how many people in the room, smoking non smoking, one or two beds, etc". I answered all of the questions and when i said there are 2 people,, myself (i am a woman) and my 7 year old child. She asked how old the child was. Not so unusual of a question. I told her 7. She then proceeded to ask if it was a boy or a girl. I thought that a little strange, but answered her anyways... sometimes little boys are roudier than little girls. But then it got REALLY WEIRD! She wanted to know what he looked like. I said, "excuse me?" because I thought maybe I didn't understand the broken English and misunderstood her question. She then said, your little boy, what does he look like? Does he resemble his father, or more feminine like his mother?" I was thrown back by the strange questions. I asked her What? Why? She said again, what does he look like, his build? Like his father or mother? I asked again why would she need to know that information. She laughed and just said she was curious. I couldn't believe what she was asking. I said, Ok, nevermind. I won't be booking a room for this hotel, or through this company. She tried to get me to wait and said she was just curious but I said Bye and hung up. After googling the actual hotel again, I found their number. I called and spoke with the attendant who said that is absolutely NOT something they ask and said it sounded very creepy. She asked me for the number that I called and said that she wanted to make sure that her manager and the owner of the hotel were aware of this. She agreed with me that it was all a little too strange. And to top it all off, she said they were completely booked, and had no available rooms. I wouldn't have stayed there anyway (it is a very nice and reputable hotel), but I didn't know if there was some creep waiting to try to snatch my 7 year old son when we arrived at 10 o'clock at night. I'm still uneasy about it all.
I recently had an experience with Reservations.com that left me feeling uneasy. I called to book a room at a hotel in my town, thinking it was the hotel's website. The lady I spoke to had broken English, which made it difficult to communicate. However, that wasn't the main issue. When I told her I needed a room for myself and my 7-year-old child, she asked if it was a boy or a girl. I thought it was a little strange, but I answered her question. Then things got really weird. She asked me what my child looked like and if they resembled their father or mother. I was taken aback by the strange questions and asked her why she needed to know. She just laughed and said she was curious. I immediately hung up and decided not to book a room through Reservations.com or the hotel.
After Googling the hotel's actual website, I called and spoke to an attendant. She confirmed that the questions I was asked were not something the hotel would ever ask. She even said it sounded creepy. She took down the number I called and said she would make sure the manager and owner were aware of the situation. To make matters worse, the hotel was completely booked and had no available rooms. While I wouldn't have stayed there anyway, I couldn't help but feel uneasy about the whole situation. What if there was someone waiting to snatch my child when we arrived at 10 o'clock at night?
Overall, my experience with Reservations.com was unsettling. The language barrier made it difficult to communicate, and the strange questions I was asked left me feeling uncomfortable. While I understand that mistakes can happen, this was a serious breach of privacy and safety. I hope that Reservations.com takes steps to ensure that this doesn't happen to anyone else.
Avoid Reservations.com: Terrible Customer Service and Website Glitches
So, I gotta tell ya, I accidentally used Reservations.com instead of the actual hotel website and it was a total mess. I was feeling pretty sick and I messed up the website, so that's on me. But let me tell you about what happened next.
I entered all my info, dates, hotel, everything I needed to get my reservations. I saw a low price and clicked on it to reserve my hotel room for September 28th to the 30th. After I entered all my information, including my credit card number, I clicked reserve, only to be told that the price was no longer available. So I clicked back, thinking it would keep everything the same. But apparently, when I went back, they changed the dates on me to Oct. 5th to the 7th. I should have double-checked everything, but I've never had a website change my dates before. I checked out, only to find they charged a 14.95 booking fee that was never mentioned before, but I decided to ignore it. I figured my husband would get a confirmation email with all the details, but it never arrived.
So my husband gets to the hotel tonight to check in, only to learn about the error in dates. Here's where it gets really frustrating. The hotel's computer says that it was booked through Expedia. So he calls them, just to be told that it was booked through Orbitz. Finally, they track down that it was actually booked through Reservations.com. Once he was finally transferred there, he got disconnected. They called him back twenty minutes later, and he finds out that the caller is actually from India.
The woman he talked to was extremely rude, and kept interrupting him while he was trying to explain what happened, eventually telling him that she had told him to wait a minute (when he was the one trying to talk first in the first place.) Then told him that it isn't her fault that he booked the wrong dates (when it was their website that changed them in the first place), but she could see what she could do if he gave her the confirmation number that was sent in the email. BUT HE NEVER RECEIVED THE EMAIL! And, there was no confirmation number given to me when I booked through them in the first place. So, there was nothing they could do.
Luckily, the hotel my husband was trying to stay at was able to switch the reservation on their end. But seriously people. Avoid this website and their $#*!ty customer service. They really need to get their act together.
Beware of Reservations.com: Misleading Search Engine and Hidden Fees
This company, Reservations.com, is not a good one. I've been around for 50 years and I've never dealt with a worse company. They tricked me with their search engine, making me think I was booking directly with the hotel. But after I completed my reservation, I received a confirmation email that showed a higher rate than what I agreed on, fees and taxes that were more than 50% of my rental, and a non-refundable provision.
When I called to complain, they told me that the fees and non-refundable policy were clearly written before I confirmed my reservation. But I've read countless complaints from others who, like me, received no notice of these policies. It seems like they're trying to scam people.
If you're upset like I am, you can file a complaint against them with the Attorney General's office of Florida. It's a quick and easy process. Just go to this link: http://myfloridalegal.com/Contact.nsf/Contact?OpenForm&Section=Consumer_Protection_Division
When you file your complaint, make sure to mention that their site "popped up" while you were trying to make a reservation, the rate advertised was not what you got, there was no advance warning of the fees, there was no advance warning it was not refundable, and the fees assessed were more than 50% of the actual reservation.
This company is registered with the State of Florida as a Seller of Travel, but that doesn't mean they're trustworthy. Their telephone number is ***201 and their email address is ***@reservations.com.
Unethical Practices and Hidden Fees: My Disappointing Experience with Reservations.com
So, I recently had an experience with Reservations.com and let me tell you, it was not a good one. When I called in to make a reservation, they didn't even announce their company name, so I thought I was calling the hotel directly. It wasn't until I received the email confirmation that I realized it was from Reservations.com. I was a bit taken aback by this, but I figured it was just a mistake on my part.
However, things got worse when I realized that they charged me a service fee that they didn't even mention upfront. On top of that, they charged me 10% more for taxes than what the actual hotel would have charged me. When I called to dispute these charges, they made me feel like they were going to investigate and get back to me in 3-5 days. But after 24 days of waiting, I had to call them back myself.
To my surprise, they denied my complaint and refused to refund me anything. Their employees lied to me twice, saying that they charge the same taxes as the hotel, but when the manager emailed me back, she said that the extra cost was for a "tax recovery charge" and a "handling fee." I even sent her a PDF from the hotel's website showing that the taxes were $27 less than what they charged me, but they still refused to refund me.
To make matters worse, the room I ended up with was not what I thought I was booking, and it left me in Nashville feeling disappointed and frustrated. I had to contact my credit card company and dispute the charges. It's a shame that Reservations.com preys on people like me who think they're calling the hotel directly and then ends up stealing money from hard-working consumers.
In conclusion, I would not recommend using Reservations.com for your travel needs. They don't announce their company name when you call, they charge hidden fees, and their employees lie to you. It's a shame that they don't provide good service and instead resort to lying, stealing, and cheating American consumers.
Fraudulent Practices and Inflated Rates: My Terrible Experience with Reservations.com
I had a terrible experience with Reservations.com and I strongly advise against using their services. I believe that Reservations.com should be held accountable for their fraudulent practices. They tricked me into making a reservation on their website, which was designed to look like the Marriott website. They even used Marriott's traveler database information, including my name, address, phone number, and credit card number.
To make matters worse, Reservations.com charged me a grossly inflated rate for the room and added unreasonable booking and cancellation fees. These fees made it very expensive for me to try and fix the situation. If I had booked directly with Marriott, I would have saved a lot of money and avoided all of these extra charges.
When I tried to contact Reservations.com's customer service, they were unhelpful and refused to release the reservation or provide any kind of remedy for their fraudulent behavior. I was left with no choice but to contact Marriott directly. However, even Marriott was unable to find a reservation number attached to the Reservations.com "itinerary" number.
Eventually, the Reservations.com reservation was cancelled, but I was still charged for all of the fraudulent fees. I am currently working with my credit card company to try and resolve this issue.
In conclusion, I strongly advise against using Reservations.com. They cannot be trusted and their fraudulent practices should not be tolerated. Marriott should take action to prevent Reservations.com from using their likeness and image online. After my experience with Reservations.com, I will be very hesitant to book rooms online in the future. Please be careful and avoid Reservations.com at all costs.
Cancellation refund
On 8/16/22 at 10:15 am I booked a room at the Laurel Inn in Salinas, CA when actually I had booked through Reservations.com, when I realized this I cancelled the reservation immediately and received a cancellation confirmation # R1196157566 at 10:38 am. I found out later that the reservation had still been charged to my credit card. I called and was told they had no record of my cancellation so I gave them the # and was told they would check into it. Now after 5 months and 8 calls I was told that I had to cancel before 1am on 8/16/22, how is that even possible since I didn't even make the reservation until 10:15 am on 8/16/22. On 1/6/23 I spoke to supervisor and told him the cancellation confirmation clearly states "Free cancellation until 06 September 2022 09:00 pm (hotel time) Cancellations made after 06 September 2022 09:00 (hotel time) will result in a $201.60 USD fee" And as I clearly cancelled before 9/6/22 I expected a full refund of all charges. ($511.04) As of this time I have not received a response.
Desired outcome: Full refund of all charges
Scam! Do not use them!
They use bait and switch tactics! They promise one price per night and don't give you a total with hidden costs and fees. There is no summary of all the prices. They quoted me a price of $108 per night. I agreed. It was a fine price for a 3 night stay. But, when I didn't get the summary of the prices, I got suspicious and went to my email to see the total they charged me was $912.90. Only when I called to complain did they tell me that the $108 price was just for the first night. The second night costs $195 and the third night $325! The taxes and fees (not broken down, just lumped together) were $235.62 and then they added an additional service fee of $47.25. I had to call them 4 times. Twice I was strangely disconnected. They insist you cancel your reservation and then they will apply to get a refund for you... No guarantee — and no paperwork proving they applied for the waiver for a refund. So now, if you cancel, you might not get any money back and you have to pay for another hotel room on top. I canceled, called my credit card and have a dispute on hold which will be initiated once they post the bill. And of course the refund will take 10-20 days to post.
Desired outcome: Full refund, their website to be pulled for misleading people.
charging service fee of 19.99 twice without a booking number
I have provided the credit card number to finalize the booking, agent told me there is an error on the credit card, and ask a different card number, we saw the transaction over the phone that two transactions are completed. They said that is the holding transaction which will be refunded automatically, but we called the bank and confirmed it is not the case. I have been told the transaction didn't go through, so the reservation is not booked.
I believe this website is scam, stay away from this. We have disputed this company on our credit card to avoid future charges. Book with hotel directly. They seems change one or twice service fees of 19.99 for nothing.
Desired outcome: Refund the two charges of 19.99 which is 38.98 in total.
I called them back and tried to get a refund of the service fee, which they finally agreed to refund me. But they never did refund it.
When you search for a specific hotel reservation this site will pop up, and if you aren't paying attention you will miss that they are the Hotel but a site from Dubai.
They will charge you a $19.97 service fee, but don't tell you that. They let you think that it is all hotel taxes and fees.
They did disclose the fee in a confirmation email, which by the time I got it, it was already charged to my card and I couldn't cancel it.
So beware: Make sure you are on the actual Ramada website and not this website out of Dubai.

Booked through reservations.com unknowingly
I googled my hotel for a reservation in Athens, Ohio on Friday 10/21. It redirected me to reservations.com which I did not know I was redirected to. Nowhere on the page did it say non-refundable when I was putting in my information for the reservation. On Monday 10/24 I called to cancel due to a work schedule change and I was not going to be able to make the trip. The trip is booked for December 10th, over a month away by the way. The customer service rep then let me know I can cancel but will not be refunded ANYTHING. I asked to talk to a supervisor, Paige, who was absolutely no help either. She just kept repeating herself that I could not be refunded and that I should have read the fine print, that it is my fault. $388 later she said there is absolutely nothing she could do but I could call back after her shift in 8hrs and talk to another supervisor who will tell me the same thing. How is this customer service, how is this possible? It is over a month in advance asking to cancel, I have a job that changed my schedule and I can no longer make the trip. They have plenty of time to rebook, which she said she can cancel my reservation for someone else but still could not give me back any money. As a customer service manager myself, Paige should not be in that position. I understand there is a booking fee
through reservations.com, keep that fee but give me my money back for the room! This is awful!
Desired outcome: Refund me my money for the room and keep the booking fee through reservations.com. You can contact me at [protected]@yahoo.com
Googled the Specific Hotel and was taken to this site so I thought it was the hotel
I was taken to the reservation.com site when I googled the hotel directly and didn't realize until after booking when I received the confirmation email that it was not booked with the hotel but with a 3rd party site that charged extra fees. I cancelled it 6 minutes after I booked it. I didn't see the credit back on my account so I called the 800 number and was told that I would not be getting a refund due to their cancelation policy. This is very misleading. When I cancelled it I thought that I had until 10/18 at 10:00AM and it was 10/11 10:57 PM. I have now been on the phone for 39 minutes asking to speak to a supervisor and she keeps coming back every few minutes telling me the same thing. This is their policy and I agreed to it when I booked the reservation. I keep asking to speak with a supervisor or someone to file a complaint and each time she tells me they will say the same thing and there is nothing she can do. Now she just came back and said that she will see if the hotel will provide a refund. Is she trying to tell me that they have already paid the hotel the money I paid them minus their fees? Is this how this works. Anyone have any suggestions?
Each room in this reservation is refundable for a limited time: This booking is subject to a fee of 1 night's room and tax. There is no refund for no-shows, early checkouts, or cancellations after 10/18/2022, 10:00 AM (America/New York).
Desired outcome: Modify their cancelation policy and clearly state that the fee for using this 3rd party reservation site is one nights stay. Cancelation with refund is only applicable for stays in excess of 1 night if completed by X date.
Same thing happened to me. Googled Hampton Inn from the road and didn't realize I reached this rip-off site, which made my reservation but charged about $55 in excessive fees. This website should be closed down.
