Misrepresented themselves
We booked a hotel which we thought was through Holiday Inn; since our situation was urgent (no hotels in the town we were in and it was late), we booked our room over the phone at an exorbitant fee for a mediocre room. The next morning my husband complained to the manager of the hotel and turns out we were charged an additional $300. over the hotel's rate for that room. During the booking process we were led to believe that the agent we were speaking with was representing the Holiday Inn. A later investigation revealed many complaints against this company for the very same thing. A complaint to the Better Business Bureau resulted in a refund which was half of the amount the company charged us. Beware of these people; they are neither transparent nor honest.
