Tech came to fix issue of no hot water which is the only reliance owned equipment I have. He proceeded to look at my furnace without consent and shut of gas as he said there was crack in pipe in ceiling that I was not shown. In that process disconnected my AC unit without me being aware right away and then asked if I would like a sales person to come in the morning to quote new furnace. Complete scam! When the house began to get hot I called and nobody would help or even call me back like they said. I had another technician from another company come in the morning and confirmed wires were disconnected to AC unit and he has heard of this practice many times. He connected it again and AC is working now. I have a senior dog that suffered all night from the heat in the house because of this. This is specific to the Reliance Yanch in Barrie , ON. Very sneaky and dirty business. This is how they try to get more money/ business, do not use them.
Claimed loss: $1200.00 Days of work and cost of technician to repair.
Desired outcome: Pay the amount of the time lost and the invoice for someone else to fix.
