Our AC broke down on Saturday,11July 2026. After I put a service call request, a technician came the next day. He said the compressor is faulty and needed to be replaced. Up to now, 16 July 2026, we still do not our air conditioning back because Reliance or the supplier does not have the required parts to get it fixed. Meanwhile, we, customer were made or had to suffer under intense and sweltering heat. What is frustrating is that the Ac unit is not even a year old. This situation is preventable had Reliance put their customers welfare in mind by stocking vital parts. We feel neglected. So frustrating!
Claimed loss: Six (6) days without AC resulting to not getting proper sleep and undescribable unpleasant experience and discomfort
Desired outcome: Get this fissures fixed ASAp please!!

That is a lousy situation, especially with a brand new unit. Forget waiting on their parts department. Here is a workaround: call Reliance back and demand a portable AC unit or window unit as a loaner while you wait, since they cannot fulfill their warranty obligation in a timely manner. Escalate to a supervisor and mention that you will hire your own HVAC tech to source the compressor from a third-party supplier and bill Reliance for the cost, because they are failing to provide a remedy. Also, check your unit's manufacturer directly (not Reliance) to see if they have the part in stock and can overnight it to your tech. Take action around their system instead of suffering in silence.
