Their contract makes it unclear that you must cancel manually or be charged forever — and they still don’t explain that clearly. It’s incredibly misleading.
I called them to resolve the issue, but the experience was terrible. I was on the phone for hours, constantly transferred from one agent to another, and had to repeat my story over and over. No one took proper ownership of the issue, and I was left feeling frustrated, stressed, and unheard.
At one point, I was so stressed I felt actual chest pain from the repeated calls and lack of support. No customer should have to feel this way just to stop being charged after a contract is finished.
I would strongly advise others to stay away from Reliance. Their billing practices, customer service, and contract structure are deeply flawed. After 10 years of paying, I don’t even own the water heater.
There are better options. Avoid this company if you value transparency and your peace of mind.
