milk
Yesterday I bought milk at the Real Canadian Superstore on Calgary Trail, Edmonton. I was in a hurry and grabbed a 4 litre container. I noticed that the containers did not have expiration dates facing out but promptly forgot to turn it around and look at it. The expiration date was November 26th (yesterday was November 28th). I didn't notice anything when I got home but when I was drinking my coffee this morning it had an odd taste. I looked at the container and saw that it was past due. I returned it to the west end store and got my money back but that meant driving all the way from downtown to this store - a waste of my valuable time.
What disturbs me the most is the fact that the expirations dates were deliberately not facing out.

I purchased 1700 gift cards from this store. When I checked out the card, one of the cards doesn't work. I went back to the store's customer service. The employee was rude and unhelpful. She cut the conversation and jump over to the next person behind me and ignore me after that. No one willing to help me. I kinda waste $100 for nothing but horrible service experience.

Went to the Superstore job fair at the ramada this past Saturday . I found it interesting, but was very disappointed in one of the women that there . she began helpful, but became quite rude disheartening when I mentioned I could work anytime, any day other than Sunday . she then discouraged me from even remotely thinking I could ever get a job at the Superstore because of one day, Sunday ! if this is your policy, then either it is prejudiced or she is ! I shop at the Goldenmile location in regina sask. I have never seen such disgusting practises, first off your employees leave many dead lobster and crabs in the tanks which infect the rest of them. Your crabs have barnacles on them which is a parasitic infection and should not be eaten at all.
Your chicken looks green and yellow which is going bad, same with your "fresh" fish smells horrid when it is cooked.
This last week i saw them selling bags of green potatos which can kill people.
The pumpkins had a viral infection which causes these warts all over them i have never seen this before. and the staff is trying to sell these items as your companies are so hard up to screw the customer over at the ever so increasing prices.
I will not be buying any meat or fresh product from your stores anymore.

Me and my family and a family friend would spend up to $1000 or more per month at superstore, my mother also filed a complaint with you. Would we go out of our way to do this without some good reason as we now shop at walmart, which is now becoming more busier in the last few months and their meat tastes alot better than what you sell. Ive also heard employees and other shoppers at that store complaining about the products there. Ill take some pictures when im the43 next.
bakery dept
The bakery area of this store is always poorly stocked. Shelves half empty. Popular items not available for days. Eg ace bakery products. Plenty of white bread but lacks variety of whole grain breads. Talk to the staff and the say this is what we get from the warehouse. Well the warehouse needs to improve... A lot. I was there today and there was almost no bread to buy. Only one staff person there and she was unhelpful.

I submitted a prescription for 2 boxes of 4 tablets of medicine, this medicine is extremely expensive and can easily be sold on the black market. The pharmacy filled my prescription and put the boxes in a bag and stapled the receipt onto the closed bag, after I paid $125. for the prescription this equals to $15.62 per pill. Was walking to the self check out and slid on an orange peel someone left and thankful caught myself but told the lady who worked there and she proceed to not say a word to me rolled her eyes and at least picked it up. Never asked if I was okay, if I actually fell or anything. Not really one to many a big deal about anything but she was very rude for something someone else definitely coulda made a huge deal about and might have tried to sue you guys.
butterball turkey
Last week Butterball turkeys were on sale for $15 3-5 kg so I jumped in my car to go get one on the first day of the sale, well there were none in the freezer so I asked the gentleman at the meat counter and he said he didn't know if they had any out back or not but maybe his coworker was going to get some, so I said can you ask him, and he said he wouldn't be able to hear him so I waited for a good 5 mins and no one came so I went up to the cashier to pay for my other products and asked her is she could check and she called back to the meat department and they said no they did not have any. So she suggested I get a rain cheque at customer service so I did. Today again I went to Superstore to purchase my butterball for $15 and picked one out went to pay at the self check out and I could not get it to come up for $15 without assistance so the worker said I would have to go back to the meat counter and ask them to change the tag so off we went and then after another 5 mins. I was told because the rain cheque said Butterball Frozen turkey I could not get it because the one I had picked out was not frozen. So two trips to Superstore for a turkey and still no turkey, think maybe I will just go to Sobeys or Walmart and put this turkey business to bed.

Used click and collect 3 times and never again. It's never ready. And never paid for with card on file. I have had to pay for all 3 orders and none were mine.
