Qatar Airways review: Request for credit voucher for mistaken excess baggage

Dear Qatar Airways Customer Service,

I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to request assistance with a situation that occurred during my flight on December 28, 2022, from Doha to Clark International, booked under reference RDPB4J.

On that day, I encountered an issue with my excess baggage. To save some money, I purchased extra kilograms online with the assistance of Qatar Airways check-in counter staff. Unfortunately, there was a mistake made in the booking, and the excess baggage was added for the return journey from CRK to DOH instead of my intended flight from DOH to CRK.

Due to time constraints, as our flight was about to board, we had no choice but to purchase additional excess baggage for the correct route (DOH to CRK). The staff informed us that the mistakenly purchased excess baggage for CRK to DOH could be used for a future journey and provided us with an attached letter for reference.

Since then, my circumstances have changed significantly. I was part of the company's ramp-down process and have been without employment since March 2023. Despite my efforts to secure new employment opportunities, I have not been successful.

Given my current situation, I kindly request your assistance in resolving this matter. I would like to inquire if it is possible to obtain a credit voucher or claim for the amount of QR1880, which corresponds to the cost of the mistakenly purchased excess baggage. This credit voucher would greatly assist me in purchasing a ticket for my journey back home.

I understand that mistakes can happen, and I appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping me resolve this issue. I have attached the relevant documents, including the letter provided by Qatar Airways staff, for your reference.
