Your problem is a perplexing one, but one I have seen before. It is indeed true that State Farm will deny a claim if the driver does not have permission from the owner. Here is the kicker...if the owner does not give permission, the driver will most likely be prosecuted for stealing the vehicle. This is not a situation where an owner can just deny the fact that he/she gave permission. You do have recourse! Your own insurance policy probably carries an Uninsured Deductible Waiver. Call your agent to find out. You may get that claim covered and your company will go after the driver as well! Hopefully you have the coverage.
Check Edmunds.com, NADA used car guide, and goldbook (I think). They will give you approximate fair market value for your vehicle. Now, it also depends on the condition of your vehicle. I tend to agree with helpNu though, $7, 000 is shooting pretty high. You should be able to take the vehicle back as a salvaged vehicle. Ask the adjuster what your options are regarding that. It will definitely hurt the resale value, but you may not care about that. Also, find out if Farmers will insure a salvaged vehicle. You may have to switch insurance companies.

I am sorry, but you do not have a leg to stand on here. It matters what items you buy because replacement cost could be different. If you have a TV that is stolen, the insurance company will pay you Actual Cash Value, meaning that a TV may have a 10 year life span, but it is 5 years old. Actual Cash Value will depreciate that TV by 5 years. Now, if you buy another TV and you have replacement cost, the insurance company will reimburse you for the additional amount. You should have your jewelry endorsed onto your policy. If you read your policy, there are limitations to theft due to jewelry and furs. Reason being is that I could tell an insurance company that I lost a $90, 000 ring. How do they know if I actually had it? If that ring is named specifically, then I pay a higher premium, but it is covered. E-mail me and I will be more than happy to help you understand what you have so you can protect yourself in the future. (shawn@dennisroseneagency.com)

That is ridiculous! When I became a Farmers Reserve Agent years ago, my District Manager was wonderful! Stay away from that guy.

You have to repeat have to have a signed Pre-Authorized Checking Agreement by you to withdraw funds from your account. Ask your agent to provide you with the signed agreement. They can obtain a copy from the underwriting department. If the underwriting department does not have a copy, you are automatically removed from the PAC.

Wow...I tried to make it all the way through and couldn't. That Texas school system is really working isn't it?

Your questions are easily explainable. First, your rates went up because of the timing of your accidents. Unfortunately, regardless of how long you have been with an insurance company, if you have accidents within the last three years you are going to get hit hard. It sounds like you have an unresponsive agent which is a shame, because I have worked with State Farm Agents in the past and many of them are top notch. State Farm has unbelievably favorable ratings when it comes to service. I am glad that you switched and found a lower rate and better service.

To answer your second question...All rates are decided by actuarial departments. Rates will fluctuate based on claims paid out. In most states, rate increases and decreases must be approved by the Department of Insurance in that state. But, your driving record will always be taken into account.

Did you happen to have a Homeowners Policy that was cancelled with State Farm? That would severely effect your auto insurance rates because you would lose the discount as well. State Farm has pulled their home policies out of Florida completely.

If your deductible goes up by a company decision, they will notify you by letter and on your renewal. Did you know that you can contact the Chairman of State Farm directly? Ed Rust is the Chairman and he will address your concerns and issues. Go to statefarm.com for contact information.

Contact your agent immediately and request their assistance with the claims adjuster. That is what they are there for. They should help you out and get you an answer. The claims adjuster has you in a pend file, but until the pend pops up for him he probably won't call you.

You may have a case here. If the agent is willing to accept responsibility, work with them. Call that agent and inform them that you had the coverage before and you should have it now. This is an agent error and can be dealt with. Keep on it! The squeaky wheel gets the grease.

You have a rather ridiculous, bogus argument, and you are somewhat in contradiction of yourself here. You admit yourself that you speed which makes you much more likely to have an accident. You are a high risk and you will be doing any insurance company a favor to leave them. Maybe many people who own radar detectors don't speed, but you do! By the way...good luck finding other insurance after you submit a $21, 000 claim. Be careful about cancelling your insurance. You may not be able to get a policy elsewhere.
This does not add up. You should easily be able to change your mileage rating if you actually drive 5, 000 miles per year. If they are not willing to do it and you have documentation, request a different agent. Go visit a different State Farm Agent who will help you. They may refer you back to your agent, so explain the situation to them.
When a company says that can save you 40% or whatever it is, that number is based on a general nationwide average, and it involves several discounts applied to your insurance. It is not really false advertising because there are clear disclaimers at the bottom of each ad. If you guys are happy, stick with your current insurance company. Give your agent a call to let them know that you are staying with them. They may reward you for your loyalty!
I am terribly sorry to hear you are having such a rough time! Rate increases can always be explained! You can switch agents without the agent's permission. Ask another agent how to accomplish this goal.

This sounds like a scam! If you did not authorize charges, they can't charge your account. Contact your bank to challenge the charges!
Good luck with your lawsuit! Definitely add the Rental Coverage onto your own policy. I always tell my clients to add any coverage they want. You just never know if another company is going to pay in good faith. Let us know what the outcome is...

You have recourse! Have your State Farm Agent fax Wells Fargo a certificate of insurance for the time period that that you were charged. Wells Fargo is supposed to refund your money. This could be a simple case where the Insurance Company has the wrong mailing address for Wells Fargo.
Contact your State Farm Agent! Select Service guarantees your satisfaction! That paint is supposed to match...Don't let the body shop get away with that!

That is terrible! Always remember that your State Farm Policy will not cover you in Mexico past 20 miles over the border! Your best bet is to secure Mexican insurance to cover your liability. Mexican police may not accept your insurance and then you will be in trouble!
What you want to do is send them a FED EX envelope with your Allstate Declaration Page showing that you have always had coverage and request a signature and receipt of that mailing. Upon receiving confirmation of the receipt of the mailing, immediately call the bank and demand that all charges be removed from your account and your account be restored to good standing. If you don't get anywhere with that, you may have to consult legal services. Don't let this go! Your credit rating depends on it!

I just tried to contact Brain Host and I was disconnected too after the two minute spiel! This company is a scam and a joke! Hey, Brian Host CSR...Why don't you provide your e-mail address to these people so they can be helped? Until you do, I am going to notify every single client I have to stay away from you!
