State Farm has no responsibility to pay your mortgage! The additional living expenses coverage would pay for you to live in a home of like quality in a similar area. If you did rent another place, call the adjuster and let him know. They will take care of you. You seem like an idiot.
To CGS...They send you a policy in the mail. On the first page it tells you what your deductible is. I am tired of ###s like you buying things and never asking basic questions about what you are getting. Who the hell doesn't know that you have a deductible on homeowners insurance. $2, 800 is a smart deductible for someone who doesn't make claims all the time. GOOD LORD!
I like when you say, "They are in the business of making money" Ya think, there Sherlock?! If you didn't have insurance, they have to notify the DMV by law. Not only that, THE GIRL ON THE PHONE WARNED YOU THAT IS WHAT WOULD HAPPEN! You really are stupid!
You never explain the reason that this claim was denied. If you didn't pay your bill, well sorry, but the insurance company will not pay the claim. You don't have a leg to stand on. If you go to a steakhouse they don't owe you a steak just because you have been a customer for 16 years.
I would go to another insurance company and not worry about it. It sounds like the person you spoke with had her hands tied.
This sounds like a case where neither of you know what the hell you are doing. I would have asked you for the cross streets and then looked up the area code on google. Why didn't one of you think of that? My God! I actually have to share oxygen with you people.
It is not true that you do not receive notification. Per state rules Geico must send you a new insurance declaration page whenever you make coverage changes. You did not read it to make sure everything was done correctly.
And here is another question...Would it have made a difference? Would you have kept the collision coverage just to have towing? My guess is, probably not.
If a Geico bodyshop is willing to fix the damage for less, why don't you take it to them?
Geico should have verified their client's coverage. The best thing that you can do is claim it under the uninsured motorist portion of your policy.
The only reason State Farm would pay Actual Cash Value for your home is because your policy stipulated that. I have an endorsement on my mobile home that provides for Replacement Cost Value. You must pay extra for this coverage. It is not automatic.
Your own insurance company is not responsible for your injuries unless the other's driver does not have adequate liability insurance. You should have a coverage called uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage. If you do not have this, your policy won't pay.
So many rating factors go into an insurance policy. Your driving record, zip code, age and experience, etc. When State Farm tells you they have some of the lowest rates around, it means they are beating their main competitors more than half the time. They might not be for your particular area or range.
Keep in mind that price isn't everything. Mercedes Benz owners don't ### that a Ford Taurus costs less than the C230 they own. The policy that you are comparing State Farm to might not be covering everything that State Farm is covering. Read the exclusion section of your policy to find out just what the main differences are.
Also, State Farm gives you a personal insurance agent without charging you a broker fee. No other business provides this type of service. A good attorney will charge you a fee. A good mortgage broker will charge you a fee. Going at it alone without the help of an agent can cost you hundreds of dollars at claims time.
I am willing to bet that you would have to pay the extra $200 at your renewal because of your driving record. Did you hide the fact that you had accidents and/or tickets? If you did, then this is not your agents fault. Sorry!
State Farm sends out a renewal bill with your ID Cards. They also send you a cancellation notice. The agent would be putting himself at risk for a liability lawsuit if he tries to send you an agent created letter. The bottom line is, you didn't pay your bill. Quit trying to blame everyone else but yourself. Take responsibility you deadbeat!
First of all, please use some punctuation. Your writing skills are an abomination, and it makes your complaint very difficult to read. State Farm Insurance has a select service program that is for your use. You can take the vehicle to any SF select service shop. The work will be done and State Farm will guarantee the work for the life of your vehicle. Find out more about this program at statefarm.com.
This is definitely not the way most State Farm agents behave. You have every right to switch agents. You can send a request letter to State Farm directly to do this!
Be more careful with your vehicle or State Farm will drop you! Any insurance company would!
Just because your neighbors had their roofs replaced does not mean anything. The average lifespan of a roof is 10 years so your roof is not new. Insurance companies will not pay for wear and tear. I would get a second and third opinion on the damage. If every contractor you hire is saying it is because of hail, you might have a case. You have the right to appeal with Allstate.
Sorry, but you have been in two accidents...You deserve to pay more.
Rent a car and give the car rental company the claim number. Most of them have direct billing. Sometimes there are issues in determining fault.
HANG UP YOU IDIOT! WHO THE ### SITS ON THE PHONE FOR 4 HOURS?! Do you own a phone book? Call an agent in your area and ask for a quote. I cannot believe you share my oxygen. Give it back!
Your policy was not rewritten. Homeowners policies do not provide coverage for Flood. Flood policies are sold through FEMA. You have an additional policy and your mortgage company would have charged you anyway for the coverage if you did not buy it. While your agent shouldn't be writing a policy without your permission, you really don't have a leg to stand on.
When you are on an automatic withdraw plan, you must cancel your insurance as early as possible during the month. It takes time to stop the auto withdrawal and the company states very clearly that they are not responsible. They will refund you your money, but you will have to wait for the policy to cancel. Sorry!
