My God! You drove a half hour just to get Popeye's chicken? Wasn't there an old tire nearby that your family could share? J/K...That is bad that they didn't have any chicken...They can't really call themselves Popeye's Chicken now can they!

That sucks Bill! I know how frustrating that is. I had the same situation happen to me with another insurance carrier. I live in California and unfortunately, it is industry standard now to deny a water loss that originates outside the dwelling. There is not much your agent could have done in this situation. Years ago, insurance companies covered everything in a water loss. Now, the loss must originate within the confines of the dwelling and be a sudden and accidental burst of water. And, the company will only pay for ensuing damage of the water. They will not cover replacement of pipes, etc.

If you signed a contract for three months, you shouldn't be charged for extra unless your contract states that.
What was the situation? It is difficult to understand based on your complaint.
I am very sorry to hear about this incident and I hope that you are not hurt too badly. Most insurance companies will not insure a driver without a valid license which means that you will probably have to go after the owner and driver of the vehicle personally. If your injuries are reletively small, check your own auto policy. If you have medical payments coverage, they will most likely cover your injuries, even as a pedestrian. Your auto insurance company may attempt to go after the owner of the vehicle at that point. Hope this helps. Good luck!

This is a terrible practice by many health insurance companies. It is called post-underwriting and it is only legal with health insurance. Fortunately the Affordable Care Act of 2009 bans this practice in 2014.
I don't know what the laws are in India, but in the United States you would have a 30 day free look period in which you can cancel the insurance for a full refund. I would ask about that.
Hey Sandra...Ask Heath Ledger's family if there is no reason to buy life insurance through a good company. There is indeed a reason to go with a company that will pay claims as opposed to one that may try to side-step having to pay.

With any permanent life policy, you will face huge surrender charges within the first 10 years of the policy. Plus, you must pay taxes on the earned amount as well. Whoever you surrendered the policy with should have talked you into taking a loan against the policy instead. You would have faced no surrender charges and you would still have life insurance.
This indeed sounds like a scam, and I hope you nail them to a wall. Please use a spell and grammar checker though...This was very hard to read.
I am also sorry for your loss, and they cannot do that to you without notification. They must notify you by mail at least once a year of the status of your policy.

This is post-underwriting and it is illegal. They have done the same thing to others. File complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Insurance Commissioner in your state.

I found their website online. Contact the company directly and provide them a copy of your new declaration page with a written request for cancellation. They will probably reconsider backdating the cancellation. http://www.nationalguarantyinsurance.com/ContentGeneric.asp?PageName=Home

Hey Appleman,

I would love to have an opportunity to earn your business! Please e-mail me at shawn@dennisroseneagency.com or call me at [protected]. Thank you!
Dave...What they are showing you is three different quotes based on the health level you qualify for. You will have to take an exam and then you will be placed in a category based on that exam. Do not accept any rating if they do not agree to provide the exam results to you. If you are in perfect health, you will get the best rate.

That is insane! I wish you all the luck in the world with your issue. Make sure to file a complaint with the Department of Insurance of California as well.
That is an unfortunate situation, and Erie should reexamine the claim. It is not uncommon to have a release signed, but all bills should be paid. For future reference, whenever dealing with a hospital, request copies of every single thing they are charging. Hospitals frequently have hidden charges just because they can put them through an insurance company. If the insurance won't pay, they will transfer those to you.
Contact your agent. Sometimes the insurance company just wants to make sure that you have done everything you can to prevent future claims. Your agent probably has some pull with the company.

$500 for a doctor's visit? Where are you taking her? I don't know any doctor that charges $500 for a visit. Your story is very fishy. You could go to a local free clinic and get a note to miss work. It sounds like your wife has missed work before, and they are calling her bluff.
Products are different depending on the company. This company seems like they will directly reimburse WalMart for the boots. Other companies require you to send the defective product back to them. The clerk at WalMart was probably unaware of the policy of the manufacturer. Not uncommon when you pay people slave wages. Sorry about your experience. Thanks for the advice on the boots!

I am so sorry to hear about your illness. I cannot imagine what you are going through. It really sucks that you have to fight with this company and customer no service. I will say in my experience, this is the first bad thing I have heard about AFLAC. I would call and request a different supervisor if that one is not available. Also, do you have an agent? Agents can be extremely helpful in these cases. They are more than happy to do the leg work for you. Please get well soon. I am rooting for you.

I paid the insurance with AT&T and I have replaced my phone three times. They did not give me a problem or hassle. I am sorry you had such a bad experience.

Don't hate the insurance company because of a bad agent! Most State Farm agents I have dealt with are extremely professional and wonderful to deal with. This agent will learn as she loses business. At least she was smart enough to surround herself with a good staff! P.S. DO NOT record phone calls without notifying the person that you are recording them. It is illegal to do so.

Hi Brad, if you have collision coverage for your vehicle, place the claim through your insurance company. It sucks to pay the deductible, but they may be able to recover it for you. If you don't have the coverage, keep calling every couple of hours. Eventually, they will return your call. If you don't hear from them by the end of the day, file a complaint with the Department of Insurance.
