Most shipping companies will not pay full value for broken or missing items because you can really claim anything you want to. If things are really that important to you, purchase insurance to cover those items.
Hi army, I am sorry that happened to you. The insurance company must send you notification of cancellation and give you 30 days to secure other insurance. Make them show you proof that they did that.
The best thing you can do is contact the local newspaper. They love to do stories like this. Don't exaggerate anything though. They will find out and you will be in trouble.
Always beware when you hear 70% off! What business can charge 70% less than they normally do? This is no different that going to JC Penny's every week when they have 30 - 70% everything in the store! They have never charged MSRP as long as I have been going there. $2, 100 for three root canals is not bad.
Title III of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 (18 U.S.C.A. §§ [protected]) generally provides that any person whose communication is intercepted, disclosed, or intentionally used can file a civil lawsuit. Many states have adopted the federal law, and some states provide greater protection.
California, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania and Washington) require that all parties consent when one party wants to record a telephone conversation.
I am not sure where this agent domiciles.
chevy...Only in the United States can we see a system like Canada's health care system and decide that it is just not right for us. We would much rather pay through the nose for private insurance and force our employers to pay through the nose for it, and then flip a coin to find out if we are actually covered.
If your car was parked unattended, they would have no way to prove it was backing up. I would appeal when you get your claim denial.
You should always get a final price in writing before authorizing the work. If you have a final price, then he has no leg to stand on.
You are very unfair. The dealership made a mistake and they owned up to it. They also are going to restore your vehicle to pre-accident condition. I don't know what else they can do. Accidents happen, unfortunately. It sounds like you could cut them a little slack. And, a service manager asks you, "How are you" and you are turned off by this? I understand that you are upset, but you are really crying over spilled milk. If the service rep could have had a do over, I am sure he wouldn't have backed into anything. Next time, buy American you communist! J/K But, seriously, I think if you reexamine the situation, you will be satisfied with the attempt to make you happy.
It is good that you have found another carrier. I do not blame you for wanting to leave with the rate increases and poor service. I live in California, and my rates with State Farm have gone down consistently. I have found them to be an upstanding company and I love the Select Service program for auto claims.
Everyone on this site should contact the Clark Howard Show out of Denver, CO. Clark will take an active roll on behalf of consumers to root out bad faith companies.
Many states allow insurance companies to base rates on credit history. The credit check also may have been due to the fact that you want to pay monthly. Either way, you should have an insurance agent from State Farm, Farmers, Allstate, etc. You can go into their office and meet them face-to-face. Also, you can ask them to explain the coverages and policies to you so their are no hidden fees or charges. Most of them offer convenient payment plans as well. Stop shopping for something as important as insurance online and over the phone.
First, they cannot legally force you to buy insurance from the company they own. But, they can place insurance on the home if you do not have adequate insurance coverage. Provide an insurance declaration page showing that you had coverage during the time that is specified and request that they remove everything from your credit. Also, contact the credit rating bureaus and challenge the debt.
Also, in a Condo situation, many mortgage companies are now requiring that you have an HO-6 or Condo Unit Owners policy. A Condo Unit Owners Policy will provide coverage for your property and liability. This is a separate policy from the Master Association Policy which just covers "common areas." Contact your insurance agent about this policy.
Easy Andrew...Many of the problems that people are experiencing are just a lack of communication. People pay a lot of money for insurance and when it doesn't pay out, the insurance company may have a legitimite reason, but it still sucks. Be nice to your fellow humans!
Hey JBond...Were the roof's the same age and same material? I know that you needed a new roof, but how old was the roof, and did Farmers pay for the damage that was caused? If your roof was 10-15 years old, I can see why Farmers would only pay to repair the damaged portion, but if your roof was 2-3 years old, you may have a legitimate complaint. More detail needs to be shared here. Thanks!
That is a valid point...Find out if Farmers has a preferred roofer program. They may have a certified roofer in your area that can assess the damage and may know more than the adjuster as far as the costs go. As far as your roof goes though, I am not surprised that they won't replace the roof because of the age of it. I know that some of your neighbors received a new roof, but their circumstances may have been different. A home may need a new roof every 5 to 10 years depending on the material and quality of the roof. If you are not satisfied with the response, the company must offer you a chance to send an appeal. If you are still not satisfied, you can proceed in small claims court. Small claims court will cost you $50-$100 but proceed cautiously. Maybe talk to someone with legal experience to find out how good your case is. Good luck!
I am sorry Sue, but you not only passed your due date, you passed your grace period as well. So you were two hours over your grace period, not the policy due date. Insurance is very specific on this and they must treat every customer the same way. This is your fault for not paying the bill regardless of the circumstances and you must take responsibility. You should already have the policy paperwork that was delivered to you with your insurance policy. You sound very unorganized. With any company you deal with, keep records of everything, and know the details of your agreement with them.
Again Sue, insurance policies don't lapse during the day. They go from midnight to midnight. My problem is that you are blaming the company for something that is your fault. I am not trying to knock you down or claim you are a child. I am trying to get you to see where you have contributed much more to your problems than State Farm. But, if you are organized as you claim, why did you not pay the original bill that you received? You obviously had that bill because you received your policy id cards.
You don't tell us which Pizza Hut to avoid...
rolex...State Farm only has their clients deal with Agents' offices. They do not have a large service center. You can request an agent at any time.
