The staff were quite helpful and doing the best they could they could with a horrible system. There is ONE elevator for thousands of disabled passengers. ONE! If it’s not working, then all those people are stuck. Far worse, though, is that they could not safely evacuate the disabled passengers in an emergency. Your only hope would be jumping in the water between the ship and port—a dangerous proposition. And that would assume others did the same to allow a path. It took us an hour to get from the ship to the elevator. There should be a ramp system or other mass exit accessible to all the disabled passengers.
Claimed loss: None, thankfully
Desired outcome: Improved infrastructure for ADA disembarkation

In addition, my husband grabbed a wrong bag. We were outside the terminal when we noted the error. There was NO system and NO ONE in charge to correct the error. We were told to “wait for every to exit” which is effectively all day. People with disabilities often have temperature sensitivity and medication needs that can’t wait all day with no access to food, water, shelter, and restrooms. There needs to be a clear and efficient resolution system.
