I was on the Internet looking for the hotel I wanted to make a reservation at in PA. My screen popped up a huge picture of the hotel, so I called the number. I asked if this was the hotel and wanted to make a reservation. The girl said, yes she was the person who made the reservations for the hotel. I continued to ask her if she was at the hotel front desk. She continued to tell me she represented the hotel. The price kept changing on me every second. I made the reservation and my husband walked in the room because he heard me questioning her about being with the hotel. He called the hotel front desk. They told him they had our reservation and it came from Priceline! So, the girl I was talking to was NOT at the hotel front desk reservations department. Just one lie after another. I cancelled my reservation immediately and now they are saying it is not refundable! Within seconds I cancelled it. I was upset anyway because my father in law died and we needed to go to PA to bury him.

Claimed loss: $2430.32

Desired outcome: Not to get charged. Refund

It's important to always check whether you're speaking directly with the hotel or a third-party service like Priceline. In cases like this, contacting Priceline customer support immediately is the best step. Explain the misunderstanding clearly and request a refund considering the circumstances. If initial attempts don't work, escalating the issue within their customer service hierarchy may help.
