As a VIP Priceline Member I purchased a "mystery hotel" reservation meaning you book a room and you don't know the name or exact location and in doing so you get a special price. No cancelations or adjustments can be made once purchased. I chose the 5 star option and a nice room was expected as I received numerous confirmation emails and the name of the hotel was provided. A week before my trip my reservation was switched to a 2 star dump. No explanation was given. I called and emailed 10+ to get it straighten out. I spent hours on hold and was told I would be compensated but I never was. 5 star rooms tripped in price at this point so my vacation was ruined over the holidays. AVOID is company at all costs.

Recommendation: AVOID booking a trip on Priceline
