“confirmed” hotel reservation that never existed
I booked a double room in Milan (IH Ambasciatori hotel, September 9, 1 night, confirmation number [protected]).
Upon arrival, there was no booking to be found.
When I contacted Priceline (and spoke to some rude (perhaps, imaginary) agent named "Pink" I was told the booking was not with priceline but, in fact, with their sister company agoda. Of course, there was no mention of any of this through the reservation process.
Expecting priceline to resolve the issue, I was astounded when told that I, myself, had to contact this unknown "agoda" as priceline could do nothing on their end.
Now I tell you, I have a confirmation email (with all the details) under a large "priceline" heading and they claim they have nothing to do with this and it is the customer's responsibility to contact some unknown company to get his room?
But wait, the plot thickens. Upon contacting agoda, they claim the reservation is with priceline and not with them! Go figure.
To put an end to this comedic charade, suffice to say a whole afternoon was lost trying to resolve this ridiculous situation that was never resolved.
Fortunately, the hotel staff was very helpful and I was finally given a room but which I had to pay for and try to get a refund from priceline or agoda or whomever.
All I can say is buyer beware of priceline/agoda.
Shameful service, shameful customer service, shameful company(ies).
Unethical behavior/failure to resolve problem
On August 14 my husband and I booked a hotel and flight to Aruba, Itinerary #[protected]. We received a confirmation and the booking was charged to our Visa. The booking indicated all fees and taxes were included except for a $9.00 per day resort fee. Our reservation was for 10 days so that would be for $90. The total cost of the trip was to be $3065.50. The confirmation breaks out costs as Flight and Hotel $2559.38 and taxes and FEES $506.12. At this point we figure we are done and reserved, Visa credit card charged is indicated on confirmation, we have our seats on the flight etc. Yesterday, with a week left before departure, we receive a message from our hotel that they need 30% of our payment now. We notify them they should have ALL of our payment since it was paid up front to Priceline. They tell us that they don't deal with Priceline. HUH!? Their property is pictured and described on the Priceline site. We called Priceline and, after a long wait received a call back. We got no satisfaction and learned that Priceline paid the flight but did not pay the hotel. They indicated the hotel booking was thru Booking.com even though no where on the paperwork of the confirmation was that indicated nor was the reservation placed on a Booking.com site. My husband was on the phone from 11:30 last night until 2AM with one incompetent person after another at Booking.com and thought we were set; only to learn this morning that supposedly Booking.com can't take payment and we need to deal directly with the hotel. BY NOW, THIS WAS BEYOND OUTRAGEOUS and my husband had been on the phone from 8AM until 1 in the afternoon with no resolution. To top things off, we now receive an email from the hotel that the booking needs to be amended to include $287.07 IN ADDITIONAL FEES! This after the priceline site indicated all fees and taxes included except for the $9 a day and the confirmation shows $0 Due at the hotel. These fees include bedding, destination fee, government tourist tax, environmental fee etc. and are IN ADDITION TO THE QUOTED AND AGREED UPON AND CONFIRMED CHARGE THRU PRICELINE. There was ABSOLUTELY NO DISCLOSURE of any of this on the Priceline Site. Never did it say hotel part of bundle was with Bookings.com, nor did it say there were all these additional fees, that the payment would be split, that we would have to deal directly with the hotel etc. etc. A desirable resolution would be payment or reduction of the original charge by Priceline by $287.07 which is the amount of additional fees the hotel is holding us hostage for. Also we have invested in excess of 9 hours on this without resolution, not to mention the emotional upheaval, uncertainty etc. so some kind of compensation from Priceline like a $800 or monetarily suitable gift card toward a future trip or another reasonable contribution beyond just the refund of the hidden, undisclosed fees is necessary . This has been outrageous. My husband works endlessly for 52 weeks a year to take a vacation and this hassle and extra expense has already spoiled this one and made it a nightmare. This is only a brief synopsis of what we have undergone being constantly ping-ponged back and forth between Priceline, Booking and the hotel. We have used Priceline previously with no issue but this is OUTRAGEOUS and unacceptable and, without satisfactory resolution, we will tell everyone we know about this.
guaranteed price match
I contacted the company to get a price match, was told that was only honored within the first 24 hours of booking. However it didn't say that in the email I received. It doesn't say that anywhere in any sizable print, when I contacted them I was sent a FAQ link that said what she was telling me but how was I supposed to know that? They offered nothing & no resolution.
ReservationDesk.com (owned by Priceline)
ReservationDesk.com is owned by Priceline and Priceline allows ReservationDesk.com to rip-off almost everyone they deal with. Their complaints are endless. If they allow them to do this to people, Priceline must be the same. Be smart and make your reservation "at the motel" you want to go to. ReservationDesk.com will tell you that they are the motel, but they are not. They will over-charge you, mislead you and cheat you and will not refund a penny, Priceline should be ashamed and shut down for allowing this.
hotel
I booked a hotel through Priceline for 7 days, it was not supposed to be pe-paid but oops they charged me anyways because I used my cell phone. Then I get to the hotel, which was not as described, and they tell me the weekly rate and break everything down and tell me it is 465 with everything, yet priceline charged me 575 for the room. I called priceline, they need to look into it and tried to tell me they should have not told me the priceline rate. I explained that is not the Priceline rate, that is the weekly rate that is offered to the public. She said they would call and verify. They did, then I get an email that they are not going to refund me the difference because it was prepaid to the hotel. I said uh no, hotel charged x. She said yes, but since I paid through priceline they will not refund me, they keep the money. Seriously... And I used them multiple times, and now I never will again and will tell anyone and everyone they rip you off. They didn't even book the correct room. What a joke! I will stick with booking.com, way better customer service!
online order not received
I placed an online order on the 27th of July 2019. My order was shipped on the 2nd of August 2019 by Australia Post. It is now the 15th of August 2019 and my order has still not arrived.
I've never experienced anything like this before. This has been frustrating for me because I was hoping to use this product on myself and on my family members for a wedding. I've had a much better experience ordering products from overseas countries than I do from my own country.
This has caused me unnecessary stress that I did not need. I don't know why it takes so long for Priceline to ship an online order and why I have to continue to wait for a resolution of locating my missing parcel

hotel cost
We have stayed in hotels from Novi Scotia, Canada to Boston, MA in the last 10 days. The Roadway Inn in Saco was booked through Priceline. After booking we received an email showing a $14.99 service fee, which was fine. It also had a $61.00 tax and other fee charge. Not sure what this is for as taxes are not that much. With this charge, this was the most expensive overnight stay and we the least desirable accommodations. Would never stay in this type of hotel. It had an odor and the bathroom was not clean. The outside looks very nice and is very very deceiving. Nothing like the inside. Please consider a credit of the additional fees, which I have no clue what they were for.
hotel
I booked a hotel with 2 beds for 4 people from 8/3 to 8/7 ( specifically choose two beds) via priceline. When I arrived hotel and was told there is one small room with one queen size bed and hotel did not allow us to check in because of we have 4 people. I called priceline and they told me I booked one double bed without any further help. We ended up pay another $243 in another hotel and pay extra fees to update to two queen beds for the rest of our stays.
I spoke with several customer service people and some of them tried to help and ease my frustration but some of them did not offer any thing at all.
I am very disappointed and frustrated going through this experience with priceline.
I will never do business with Priceline again. Their "best price guarantee" is a pile of lies.
late fees
I set up automatic payments or thought that I had set it up in May, then when June came around it was done I guess by me because I did it online, so when I found out on the 21st of June after I was charged with a late fee I accepted that charge, so to solve this problem they sent me to your IT department to set up my auto pay and then guess what it wasn't done? And that's my fault to not only get another late fee but to mess up my credit and y'all won't take the late fee off even though it's your fault
hotel room reservation
I reserved a room at the Citadel hotel in Amsterdam. I selected 2 adults and 1 junior, less than 17 years old. When I arrive to the hotel, I realized this hotel has only double rooms, for which I had to make a reservation while here for a second room to fit the three of us. It is very unfortunate the filter for 3 people would bring about a hotel with double rooms only, and I had to go through the discomfort of having to book the other room after arrival.
I want to be reimbursed for my stay in Amsterdam for the inconvenience of using the site, and assurance this mistake won't happen again.

hotel
Booked a hotel via Priceline several months ago. Today, I check at it is $13 dollars cheaper a night ON THEIR OWN WEBSITE. I try calling (hung up on), chat, and email, but I'm told that it doesn't qualify for their best price guarantee because they can't see that price in real time. I provided them screenshots, but apparently that doesn't work for them?!? It's their own website with this cheaper price. I will never do business with Priceline again. Their "best price guarantee" is a pile of lies.
car rental
I recently booked a car rental with Priceline at Newark Airport for $522 at National Rentals. Two days later, I checked on line and found that CarRentals.com was offering the same exact car at Advantage Rentals for $70 less. I called Priceline and they wont price match because it is a different rental company. I wont be dealing with Priceline in the future.
airfare
And in February I purchased two tickets to fly from Seattle to Florida for My fiance and I to go on a honeymoon. I purchased several months early and I also purchased insurance.
About three months later I received an alert stating my flight time had been changed. This did not work because we had to make a cruise. My fiancé contacted the cruise line and they changed the flight time.
The original flight time got us to Florida at 6 AM. They changed the arrival time to 3:30 PM. Then My fiance called and they offered him a 9:30 AM. When he told me that he called them and they offered him at that time, I told him that would not work because we had to be at the dock to meet our cruise at 11 AM and the dock is over an hour away.
I have tried calling Priceline, calling the insurance, texting Priceline, I have done everything in my power including speaking to a supervisor and they will not help me. I even offered going the night before and purchasing a hotel from priceline. I simply do not want to lose my several hundred dollars.
What I do not understand is why they would make a change with someone who is not even on my Priceline account or on my Bank account. They should have approved any changes with me personally.
I did everything that I should have done. I bought the tickets early. I purchased insurance. I called. I got a hold of a representative online. I asked for a supervisor. No luck with anything. I love traveling and I use priceline often. This makes me never want to again.
hotel falsely advertised as a 4 star
I am filing a complaint as the customer service was not provided regarding my reservation at Casa Faena Hotel in Miami. I called with concerns prior to going as it stated it was a 4 star hotel and it was no where near a 4 star hotel. I called and complained and price line reps were no help. There were several customer complaints about this hotel being broken down, not having a public ice machine, being small and dirty as well as NOT having a pool. The representative said that they were unable to cancel my reservation because i used the express deal. I told the rep that they advertised to book in one of several options for a 4 star hotel, and I just wanted to be booked in a 4 star hotel with a pool. I was told that wasnt a possibility. I had been searching for the best deal for the past week and saw the case faena hotel being booked in this deal each time I looked, which makes me think that this was the ONLY hotel being used for the express deal. I have been a Priceline member over 10 years and expect better customer service than what I was given. If this hotel is barely a 2 Star being advertised as a 4 star and Priceline is stealing from us! This was NOT what i agreed to and paid for.
hotel refund
I booked a hotel for 7 nights through Priceline. When we got to the hotel the room was disgusting. Mildew smell and stained sheets. I immediately called Priceline and was told that if the manager approved the refund, they would give me a refund. Priceline sent the manager an email asking for approval which he immediately approved back to them. However, Priceline still charged me and denied my refund. I disputed with my bank and they got nowhere with Priceline so they closed my claim saying they couldn't help me and I must deal with Priceline myself. So I called Priceline and they say that since I filed a dispute with bank they can no longer help me. So I Priceline has stolen $924 from me. DO NOT USE PRICELINE. THEY ARE A SCAM. I better William Shatner doesn't have to put up with this crap
unauthorization credit card
someone used my credit card to purchase a trip on priceline. How do I find out who that person is? This transation happened on July 11 in the afternoon. My name is Robert Knight [protected] phone number. [protected]@gmail.com credit card number [protected] I would like to know the neme of this person, where they live and any other information they gave when they used my card.

Customer service
Bought trip to Barcelona with flight and hotel back in March. Flight got cancelled on 7/1. We called and asked to find another flight. After 2 hours, and speaking with 2 agents including a supervisor, we were told they found a flight that got us in 1.5 hours after our original flight. Perfect! then we got the flight itinerary and showed us coming in a day AFTER what we were told. Immediately called back, and again after speaking to 2 agents, including another supervisor, told they couldn't help us as we had agreed to the new flights earlier. BUT we hadn't agreed to coming in a DAY LATER, we agreed to the same day, but 1.5 hours later. Now Priceline is telling us that we are stuck with the new flights and won't/can't refund us money. We shouldn't have to pay for a supervisors mistake(they are the ones that scheduled us to come in a day later and told us that it was the same day, that is not our fault). THis is a BIG birthday trip which at this point is now tainted and sorrowed. Someone should be able to help us. All they have to do is listen to the recordings and they will see that their supervisor made the error and that they need to make this right! They also need to work on the customer service time, as we are approaching 6 hours of talking/being placed on hold.
website
I tried to log on to my account on Priceline.com today to check some car rental prices. The sign-box wouldn't allow me to complete the process for the first several tries and then said that wasn't my account and my zip code was wrong. I've recorded my information and I KNOW my zip code, but I tried to change my password and it wouldn't let me re-enter the password I wanted to use because it couldn't be one of the last five passwords. How frustrating. I think I am just sick of Priceline and will find another way to book flights, hotels, and rental cars. I used to feel like we found good deals and it was worth the time, but the last hotel we booked was HORRIBLE! I called to make a complaint but never heard back. I used to be able to use the "Name your own price" feature, but that only works on hotels now not car rentals?! Priceline of the past was great but the current version is terrible and I will advise everyone to use TripAdvisor or Kayak or some other service.
flight and hotel, cancelled you need to refund me
I recently paid for my Flight from Denver to LAX for 6/19/19 - 6/23/19
Included in that was my car rental and my hotel
My flight was with Spirit Airlines Flight #719 departing DIA AT 6:56pm on 6/19/19
to arrive in Las Vegas for 1 hour layover however the flight was delayed by 1 hour.
This caused so much turmoil. Once I arrived at Las Vegas airport, I was told that Spirit has no more flights going out and cancelled my flight to LAX. Nothing until the following day until 1:30 PM. That was not OK, I had to be a t a Graduation in LA at 3:00 pm
I was forced to purchase a ticket with another airline *Southwest* for $185 to make it to LAX. the next morning. I also had called the Car Rental and Hotel on the evening of 6/19/19 that my flight was cancelled and I was stuck in Vegas until the next day .
I was assured by both the Advantage Car rental and Ramada Inn that my reservation was secure since it was paid in advance and I had called within that 24 hours.
But on 6/20/19 when I went to the Ramada to check in, I was told they had cancelled my entire reservation as a NO SHOW
I then was forced to go to another hotel *the Days Inn* in Torrance and rent a room for $97.01
I paid in advance for all my Flight, Car Rental and Room and I was not treated properly and forced to pay more money.
Ramada Inn refused to refund my money, Spirit caused all this problem and my Car rental I paid for 4 days @ $33 per day plus $11 per day for the insurance.
I have attached my Credit Card statements, Bank Statement and all my Itinerary
I want to be refunded $871.09 for all this inconvenience in addition to some kind of compensation or free travel for all the trouble this caused and I want this done immediately !
