Do not buy anything from here ! I have made the mistake of doing so with along of many others there is no return address to get a refund or an exchange and most likel;y your going to need one. According to others the items you get from this company either do not play at all or the are bad recording from the television. Do not waste your time or money! If anyone has more information on this matter please let me know i feel like i need to take legal action. [protected]@hotmail.com

Thanks for the warning, I was tempted to spend $100 for all 7 seasons of Hunter but was suspicious of planet dvd and clasic media which seems to be the same company. You folks saved me from throwing more money away to the chinese.

I was just scammed by them. I bought a whole set of dvd's of Medical Center. The return label on the package was in Chinese. These tapes, for Medical Center with Chad Everett, have artwork on each disk from Trapper John. None of them will play. I emailed the company and was told they would send me another set from an alternate source. It's now been 5 weeks, and I haven't heard anything. And now they are not answering any of my emails. I wasted almost $150. I saved all the emails I sent and their emails to me promising another set. Apparently I'm never gonna see that. I hope they can be shut down.

I was ALMOST scammed by these people. Luckily I did some research and found lots of NEGATIVE information about these RATs. I ordered the complete JAG series as well as China Beach. The total cost was to be $126.00 plus another 3.37 as a service fee from China. My credit card was billed for the whole amount, but with a timely call to my bank, the charges were reversed, and my money was credited back to me. The same day, I got a slip in the mail telling me to come down to the post office and sign for a parcel...address unkown. I called the post office and informed them of the scam. They marked the package as contraband... informed the FBI of the pirating and scam. I was called the same day by the FBI copyright division. I am glad I found this site and avoided the scam. The FBI and Interpol are hot on the trail of these crooks. I was glad that I could help. Thanks to everyone who made me smart on this scam before it was too late.

I like so many others purchased DVD's from Plant DVD Store. They were very bad quality. Some episodes would not play at all. The one that did were just copied off of the USA channel. They did give me an email address for my complaint and they did offer to send me new DVD's, but they were just as bad as the other ones. Here is the email address they gave me. Kathy Connor .

Planet DVD Stores – I trusted that New DVD in the advertisement meant just that. A New DVD from DVD stock.
But even if I had read the fine print I didn’t know that when their terms and conditions state “DVD Mania have been individually compiled from original film stock and public domain wholesaler sources” I never thought THAT THIS MEANS THEY COPIED THE MOVIE OR SHOWS FROM THE TV BROADCAST – not from a TV source stock but actually from a TV broadcast.
The DVD series I received even had the TV station logo in the bottom right and every so often advertised in that lower right corner popped up for shows to be broadcasted later that night.
OMG! Also the overall quality of DVD is horrible and skips and unplayable portions are numerous. . DON’T BUY FROM THEM….NOTE….order was shipped from China.

PlanetDVD and TVDVD are one in the same. I have been e-mailing both of them and they both have my account information. I ordered the complete set of 7th Heaven and only got about half the episodes. I was told I ordered a "collector's edition" and that I should understand that not all the episodes were available. False advertising and black marketing. Everyone needs to do what I just did, file a complaint with the FTC. Maybe we can't get our money back but we may be able to get them shut down so others don't get ripped off.

I went through the same thing months ago when I purchased the Alfred Hitchcock Presents DVD set. Quality was terrible and they would not answer my emails asking for a return address. I went ahead and disputed the charge on my credit card and was eventually credited back the amount my card was charged minus the $10 shipping charge. I have read that Planet DVD will try and recharge your card, but I haven't had that problem and my card issuer said they would fine them $50 for each attempt if they did. It has been several months now and no attempt to recharge my card. It was a hassle and I had to supply the credit card issuer with all documentation along with my attempts to contact Planet DVD, but I did prevail. This company is betting that not many of you will go through the card dispute process. Buyer beware! It's bad enough that this product is made in China and the term Junk doesn't just describe the fishing boats they use over there.

Update. I received a letter from the bank today saying that although they credited my account the 170 dollars, they have 120 days to dispute the claim with PlanetDVD and if they don't get the money from them, the charge might be put back on my card. I will not take that lying down.

File an IC3 report and a chargeback with your credit card. Planet DVD as far as I know doesn't refund, they ignore refund demands/requests. I received a refund on my credit card and didn't have to send the dvds back, I went and got proof that they were pirated DVDs.

File a IC3 report (internet crime) and a chargeback with your credit card. I sent photos in to my credit card and a signed professional's opinion that the DVDs were fake. I got my money back and didn't have to pay to send the DVDs back. Besides, they didn't give a return address and ignored all attempts to contact them.

Hey Guys and Gals! My bank credited the 170 dollars I wasted on those CRAP DVDs yesterday! I know it is not a fortune but it sure feels good. I had cancelled my cards after googling the company and was only charged for one set of DVDs. The card was cancelled before the other two orders went through...whew. Anyway, CIBC sent me a Fraud Form to fill out and return and I did. They told me to return the DVDs and then they would begin action. I went to the Post Office and the clerk took the Chinese Label that was attached to the box, stuck it on the box in the proper spot, wrote TO: beside it and off it went. However, I opted to spend 14 dollars to send it Regular mail rather than 30ish dollars to send it Registerd. I certainly did NOT want to get further in the hole than I had to. I sent the Post Office receipt and a letter explaining the situation to the bank. Two days ago I got a call from them asking me for the tracking number for the package and I informed them that I had not sent it Registered because of the cost. The guy told me they would have reimbursed me for the shipping costs and I replied that I had NOT been informed of that. He told me he couldn't do anything for me but would send the file on to his Supervisor. Today I checked my Visa balance and there was the 170 dollar credit. I am so glad. Good luck to the rest of you. Maybe if the banks keep losing money to these crooks, they will pressure the authorities to shut them down.

I just want to say I'm sorry you were duped by these ### but you've saved me the misfortune of following suit. I made the mistake once of trusting that a web site that 'looked' professional and business like was run the same way. Now before I buy anything from a web site I've never done business with I first google the web sites name and read reviews like your's .

My only gripe now is, as I usually only buy my dvd's on amazon.com (after the last time I was burned by a 'fake' web site) I was looking for the series empty nest and amazon didnt have it but listed at the bottom of the page was planet dvd store as a sponsord like advertising on amazon.com. I would think as a reputable business site they would check out their sponsors

I also bought a a boxed set of DVD from these crooks. The DVDs were unwatchable on any of my 3 DVD players. The would just freeze up within a couple of seconds and then jump ahead about 10 minutes further into the show, then immediately freeze up again. In an hour show I was able to view maybe a total of 3 minutes. They are awfull. The company did not respond to repeated complaints. I am currently battling with VISA trying to get a refund. Even if the DVDs had played the picture and sound quality was very poor. They were obviously recorded from a TV broadcast. The picture was very grainy.

I'm not sure how the dispute with VISA is going to go. It was going to cost me over $30 to return them and get a signed receipt. I opted for just sending them back thru the postal service first class for $9. I found the shipping address (Beijing, China) taped to the bottom of the box in a baggie covered in dark brown tape. Planet DVD had not responded to any of my requests for where and how I should return the DVDs.

Stay away from these crooks.

THIS SITE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN! I ordered the Jag DVD set. I was a bit nervous since it was so cheap (only $69) and there is no phone number or address for this place. I figured for that amount of money I'd take a chance, but I should have gone with my gut: IF IT SOUNDS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE...IT IS! I actually received them, but when I played a few I quickly realized they are recorded from TV. That alone should get this place shut down and the people running the site thrown in jail. Some of the discs (first few seasons) play and the quality is good. There are others that have issues and some don't play at all but this is all besides the point. DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS SITE. There seem to be other imitators out there as well, perhaps the same crooks running multiple web sites. BEWARE!

This site should be shut down! I ordered the JAG complete set. For $69, I figured I'd take a shot. I was alightly nervous over the fact that there was no phone number or address. I should have gone with my gut feeling. I did get them but when I tried them out I realized they are episodes that were recorded from TV. The quality is fine and the first few seasons play but some of the discs have issues and a few will not play at all. I should have known better but $69 is not the end of the world. I'm more annoyed over the principle of the matter. DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE ANY MONEY: THEY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN.

These guys are pros. They've also been around for awhile under many guises. Did you notice how many sources they originate from, such as China, British Columbia, and Canada? I was cheated by one of their incarnates called, DVD World, supposedly out of Florida. Don't bother tracing their ISP, as it is very probably masked. I believe they are a strongly entrenched network of organized crime and are probably untouchable by even our FBI. If their are any lawyers out there who want to see justice, would you consider organizing a class action against these crooks?

These people are crooks. There are a couple of phone numbers for them in Canada, ph [protected], or [protected],

If this person calls you you better be ready for total verbal abuse. He'll call you names, ask if your gay, or say you are living in your mother basement suite. Only verbal abuse. I have contact local Canadian officials including RCMP and reporting them for Bootleg copies. He say send them back, but I tried, and the post office, says they can not read Chinese writing.

CANADIANS - DON'T BUY FROM THIS GARBAGE. IT IS TOTAL PRIRATE, AND IS SO BAD, YOU HARDLY SEE THE PICTURE. SOMEONE, JUST USED A CHEAP CAMCORDER TO RECORD IT OFF THE TV.

hi all hope this helps if you are trying to get a refund for the crap dvd's you bought...

I bought dvds from this bogus company too (about 2 months ago now).
was not happy at all with what I got, same as yourself, pirate dvds in crappy Vhs boxes from China. So not worth the money and the quality was not great, no index or proper packaging.

Anyhow, I rang my credit card company and asked about revoking the payment I made for the DVD as I was not happy at all with what I got, what I ordered was not what I received... etc

So, they asked me to send in my letter of complaint to the "credit card disputes department" (the address was given, as it will be if you ask them) explaing all about what happen and why you want a refund so that they could investigate it furter for me.

I got a reply back by telephone to say they were looking into it and they did. They found an address in China for me to send back my DVD's to so that they could then revoke the payment, because as we all now know the address is not on their web-site and they do not answer e-mails. The address is:

LIN SX
Guangzhou Shi San Yuan 57 Hao
Guangzhou, China 510400

I sent my dvd's there along with a complaint letter stating the reason I sent back the dvd's is because they are pirate and that this was not known to me when I bought them.

I then faxed the receipt of payment I got from the post office which confirmed that I send the dvd's to China. 2 weeks ago now

The credit card company have just rang me today to let me know that the payment I made to the bogus company has been transferred back into my bank account!

(please note that I was told that although the payment was revoked, the bogus company can submit within 45 days proof that what I got was exactly what I knew I was getting. (lets see them try eh?!)

So, its worth ringing your credit card company, they may shot you down straight away, they did me, but I rang them back and complained a bit more that this was a genuine case and then they got serious about it. Oh, and I would not recommend sending your DVDs to China without ringing your credit card company first, as it is the credit card company that get back your money, not the bogus company.

good luck to all, and if anything it has thought me to be a lot more careful with buying online in the future.

let me know if you need anymore information. just comment back and il check this tread in a few days time. name is Hazel

Tee Tee..
Refuse the package at the post office because then it will be recorded on the computer system that the package was never received (you have to sign for it, and the return address is not legible/and ships from CHINA! and it will cost you about $15 dollars to send it back). Call the number to request a refund [protected] and ask them to cancel the order.
ie: you changed your mind /found it elsewhere. Let the phone ring... when i called last night it rang about 20 times (no kidding) and then i finally got a voice mail. I got the number off by bank statement. They actually returned my call this afternoon and said they would refund my money (not the shipping charge) within 5-10 days.
Also, send them emails. Be clear about what you expect and how you intend to handle the situation. They have a 'contact us' option on the website. Include as much info as possible and print out the pages so, if you have to dispute anything, you have proof you were in contact with them. Also keep track of your phone calls... time and date and number you called and what was said/ message you left. My bank told me the more information i have the better chance of getting the charges reversed. Ironically the dvd place called WHILE i was at the bank discussing this mess. Now i will wait the 5-10 days for the credit/refund to show up in my account, but the paperwork with the bank is in place just in case this whole thing goes south on me. ALSO, make sure all your communication is done within the 15 day time period they specify because it shows you were abiding by their terms. Good Luck to All of Us.

I purchased "Our House" and received the 2 box set as promised but the only problem I have is that 1 disc out of 46 doesn't play well and that one volume (2 stories was duplicated so I am missing 2 episodes. I have emailed several times to fix this but to no avail and after reading this I am not going to hold my breath any longer. I was surprised to see the Chinese part on the shipping label too. I guess I got off luckier than most. I bought this for my daughter for her birthday and I am disappointed to say the least. I would be glad to put my name on any complaint file you have.

Unfortunately, I too looked at these comments tooo late. I bought the box set of 8 Simple Rules, and Witchblade series, tey are crap. They are poorly pirated and for the most part the discs are uncompatible to dvd machines. They are out of sync, freeze, and in a few cases the pixels are so bad that you can not even make out the images. They were very quick to let me know that they received my order, but I have nothing from them, after I commented about the poor quality. I would like to participate in closing them down?

howdy, I was suckered into buying two dvd sets, walker Texas ranger, and kung fu the legend continues, from reading the very detailed ad on this site: www.TVDVDBoxSets.com
they claimed they were brand new unedited commercial free, but when I got them they looked like something a kid made from home, poor quality, commercials and the worst labeling job I have ever seen my 4 year old can paste better than that! I e-mailed like 20 times with no reply then I got my lawyer friend to send them an e-mail and within a week I got a call saying that my e-mails had gotten lost (right) but after speaking with the woman and telling her we were in the middle of filing a suit she told me that she was so very sorry and to please wait and she would refund me, which she actually did but beware of these people if I had not threatened them they would never have refunded me just an FYI and heads up good luck, like they say if it looks to good to be true it is!
