I am extremely disappointed with the lack of support I’ve received from Pit Boss (Dansons Inc.) regarding a serious corrosion issue affecting the broiler frame of my grill Model: PB700FB1

Despite following all recommended maintenance — including regular cleaning and the use of a grill cover — the internal broiler frame has deteriorated significantly. Metal is flaking off, and the structure is visibly weakened. This has directly affected the grill’s performance and raises serious safety concerns.

I contacted Pit Boss customer service and even participated in a video review, during which the damage was acknowledged. However, I was told that unless there are visible holes in the frame, the damage does not qualify for warranty replacement. Instead, I was advised to clean the rust with lemon juice, which is entirely inadequate for the level of corrosion I’m experiencing.

This policy is unacceptable, especially considering that their own warranty states that damage is not covered unless there is a loss of structural integrity. The current condition clearly meets that threshold — the structural integrity of the grill is compromised, even if it hasn’t yet collapsed.

I requested that the case be escalated to a supervisor and even to an executive level. I have submitted photo and video documentation, yet I continue to receive dismissive responses.

I am posting this complaint to make other consumers aware and to request that Pit Boss re-evaluate their warranty process and uphold their commitment to product quality. I expected better from a brand that markets durability and customer satisfaction as core values.

Claimed loss: corroded and structurally compromised broiler frame that is no longer functioning as intended, despite proper maintenance — and the company’s refusal to cover it under warranty.

Desired outcome: Warranty-approved replacement of the broiler frameA formal acknowledgment of premature corrosion and performance impactA revision of their narrow interpretation of “structural damage”
