Assurant Solutions obtaining insurance claim funds

This company and its employees are incompetent. They do not care about customer service. Every time you call in to talk about the status of your account you get a different person and each of them is just as dumb as the other ones. They told us to send in prepaid envelopes so they can send us our checks then later ask us why we sent in so many envelopes (we sent 4 because they are sending our claim money in different amounts to pay our contractors). They don't know the meaning of simple words such as "total" or "balance". They don't know how to work their own system where they can update the status of pending documents. All in all, this company is the worst to deal with. I will be writing to the bbb.

Assurant Solutions Assurant service contract

I bought the service contract in April and my dishwasher broke yesterday. I used the Chat option and then called to schedule a service appointment and was told twice that the policy did not cover physical damage on one hand and electrical malfunction (not what I asked about) on the other hand. My policy clearly states "functional" issues as to what is covered. Now they contest that.

Try to find an address to send a cancellation notice is unachievable. Try calling someone and getting an address and you end up at a different division. I want to cancel my policy and cannot find who to send the letter to.

Assurant is a typical insurer who doesn't want to pay and doesn't allow easy access to cancel within a 30-day window.

Assurant Solutions Warranty

We have had our samnsung dryer repaired now a total of 7 times. The service man says it can no longer be fixed (it is irreparable. We have a family of 4 and both our kids are in 2 different sports so we do a lot of laundry. We have had to miss work on every one of these "repair" times. The window is a 4- 5 hour window they give you that it will be there. We have missed hours of work, had to go to the laundry mat, spent money on the laundry mat and our time that has been wasted with the calls and no resolve. When we call they do not care and just continue to read a script repeating themselves. They refuse to allow you to talk to a supervisor stating "sorry there is not one at this time". The call is a call center in the philippines. The amount of stress, money and absolute inconvenience it has caused is absolutely terrible. They do not care and the dryer should have been replaced a long time ago. We need the madness to stop and someone to be held accountable for the warranty we paid for.

Assurant Solutions fire claim reimbursement

As many of the other have stated, the level of understanding with this company is horrible. They provide a small mountain of required forms that have to be filled out. They also require all transactions to be performed online or mailed. Unfortunately, their website only works about half of the time. I just checked and it is down right now. I actually retrieved quotes from a large number of contractors before and after the required forms were provided. In all cases, the amount of paperwork made the cost dramatically increase and in some cases double. Totally ridiculous. I am left with paying for the reconstruction out of my own pocket and trying to get reimbursed after the fact. Based on what I have seen, I may have to sue the company to get anything. Totally pointless for a mortgage company to prevent someone from rebuilding after their family dealing with a traumatic event like this and then losing everything they own and can only replace a fraction of what they had due to the company depreciating every item down to the paperclips. Very unfortunate.

This is happening to me as well. How am I support to finish my home if they require 100% completion before they related $100, 000. That is crazy. Please help if you have lawyers out there please contact me or advise what to do with this InsuranceClaimCheck.com

Assurant Solutions horrible scam company

No stars no stars no stars

Unscrupulous company. My money sits in escrow - they make interest. I have talked to 8 people that all say sorry sorry sorry and then repeat the same thing the previous one said. I take part of that back. Every time I have to call, each person wants different paperwork. Meanwhile, they have my money in escrow making interest. How is this legal? I will be switching mortgage companies because of this - phh.

All the previous reviews are so true - I didn't believe it until now I am living it. You get them one thing and then another, you wait for results, call back due to nothing happening and are told to get something else. I would write more but you can literally read what I am going through from these reviews. They are bound to have complaints with the bbb.

I am imaging the owners - which I am allowed to imagine since they have my money - just sit back and live off of everybody's check that they plop into escrow. What a job. May karma treat them the same.

Assurant Solutions claims process / insurance claim process

Let me just begin by saying that the level of incompetence and attention to detail within this company is well sub-par and that's being super generous. This company not only lost my check, but once they found it, they allocated the funds to someone else. I called, was told the funds would be available in ten days. The ten days passed; called for an update and was told that "the process was not began when I was told it began and that I would need to wait an additional week". This has now been going on for 2 months! Nothing but excuses and go-arounds with these incompetent fools.

Assurant Solutions insurance claiming processing

The process is flawed and ridiculous. No one knows anything and when you question them about the process, they can not give you any reasoning behind it. My contractor has been waiting a month to be paid. My insurance company and home equity loan bank both approved the release of the check within two day...M and T took a month and everything had to be done online or over the phone. I have submitted and resubmitted paperwork but there was always something wrong or they needed more. They also called from an unknown number and leave vague messages to call back, you call back and no one has a clue as to why you're calling.

Assurant Solutions hurricane harvey damage from august 25, 2017

For 10 + months since Hurricane Harvey hit our town in Rockport Texas and most directly our area of Rockport, Texas. We have been having to fight our insurance company (Texas Windstorm Insurance Agency), contractor and subs to get the work done so we can be livable in our badly destroyed home plus now citimortgage and insuranceclaimcheck.com to get the money owed us by the work done and paid for by us from our retirement fund. Everyone we have been in contact with thru this ordeal has delayed/asked for more information/talk to so many different people everytime who has no clue to what was said or done before speaking with them. So much more that is documented as I was always told you are being recorded. As victims we have suffered enough. Something needs to change to help the people who have done everything to resume normal living but fighting the establishment to get the money paid out and returned to us.

Assurant Solutions service

Have been working on house fire for 7 months now. Every time you call they need more information than he needed the previous call. Every person you call needs different information then the last. I'm not sure they have even done this before. Already spent more money on the house then the claim is worth. They want to inspect the house but won't release the funds. I can't put the house on a foundation until money is received from them.

Need to file a class action lawsuit. Look up all the people they do this too on a regular basis. It's ridiculous.
Ive been resending the same info over and over for 9 months and depending on the rep, its different documents that were already sent and resent almost daily.
Everything we send them is approved one day and good to go, check is being drafted only to call back an hour or day later to find out its not because, you need the same documents again...rinse and repeat for 9 months.
I lost a contractor over this and only have one left in my area who can do the job and winter up here comes fast. Its now mid July and so far nothing can get started.
WINTER IS COMING!
I've had enough.
I'm in for a class action lawsuit against this company. Together with our similar stories of what we have to go through and the additional pain, suffering and loss, yes loss, we have a very good case.

Same issue here in Los Angeles, CA. Every time you call they need more information than he needed the previous call.

Assurant Solutions Debt collection

I was a victim of fraud, I allowed someone to file my taxes and the lady took my information and rented two apartments in my name. She ended up not paying the rent and even went to eviction court as me. When I contacted the people from the first rental property they told me the steps on how to get the debt removed from my credit. I did exactly what they told me and they have removed it with no problem. I have sufficient evidence that I have never lived in any of these places and can prove it. I contacted iq data to request a fraud packet from them. Micheal to me that they validated my debt and it would stay on my credit. I told him I was a victim of identity fraud he told me to take the person to court. I told him I wanted a fraud packet it's been 3 months of me calling back and forth. They keep telling me the fraud packet is in the mail. I call every two weeks and still have not received a fraud packet. These people want you to be accountable for debts that don't belong to you. If you have proof to prove you aren't the person you'll never get a fraud packet.

Assurant Solutions insurance funds not paid. invoices have been submitted 8 months ago

PHH Mortgage is holding insurance funds on the repair of my home after a fire almost three years ago. I only received 400, 000 from insurance but have put 750, 000 into my home. Value is well over 1.3 M. I'm still paying mortgage insurance after 4 Years of on time payments. I have more that 700, 000 of equity on my new 6, 600 SF Home. Id like to finish my siding and pay my electrician and plumber.

Sounds simple, register your product through assurant to get an extra 2 years worth of warranty service. Guess what, nearly impossible to do...
The website doesn't work and no one answers the 2 phone contacts listed. Even during normal business operations, i.e. 8a to 8p, there's a message that states "we are now closed, and then stating the hours they're open"...

Sounds like ge needs a different contractor for these sorts of issues. Sounds like i'll need to complain to some branch of the government specializing in business fraud...

She stated that I could settle my debt by paying $1400.00. That's the total she instructed me to pay. I advised her that I would save the money and call back with payment. Assurant Solutions Failure to honor 2 year 360 warranty with accidental damage

I purchased a surface pro 3 from amazon on 12 oct 2014. At the same time I purchased the 2 year extended plan with accidental damage coverage with assurant. (info attached) the info on the purchase page states "accidental damage starts day one; mechanical and electrical failures are covered after the manufacturer's warranty expires." I took this to mean that the accidental damage part starts october 2014 but the mechanical & electrical failures start after the manufactures warranty ends. Under 'terms & conditions' in their written contract (attached) there is this statement: "your plan will cover service repairs or replacement for the period of time you have selected that extends past the manufacturer's warranty. Many benefits start at date of purchase including power surge and food loss."

This sentence indicates that since I purchased a 2 year plan, my coverage would be 2 years after the manufacturer's warranty, which was one year.

When I attempted to file a complaint on line on sept 2, 2017, I was unable to log in due to an error (page attached), reset my password or live chat. I then called their customer service line [protected] and that is when I was told that while the contract reads that way, it really doesn't mean it covers 2 years after the manufacturer's warranty. Requested to speak to a supervisor but after holding for close to 20 minutes, a supervisor could not be reached. The customer service rep was very polite and sympathetic but ultimately unable to help me.

Assurant Solutions Samsung premium care

Hello about a week ago my s8+ got a cracked screen I had samsung premium care I submitted a claim and paid the deductible and was told my device would be shipped out the next business day since it missed the cut off time. Well upon calling the next day I was told that my device was on back order and that as soon as the device came back in stock I would be getting a device. I waited about a week before getting the email that my device had shipped upon receiving my replacement I was extremely disappointed the device that was sent to me has scratches on the screen deep scratches along the edge of my device screen not only that this is the wrong model variant my variant that I had was a sm-g955t (t-mobile) and what I received was a verizon model (sm-g955u) my speeds are drastically different on lte I was told I was going to be getting a device of the like and same my original unit was black and I got a orchid grey color which is not so much a deal breaker I kind of like this new color anyways I am just pissed that I paid 850$ for a device and 12$ a month for crappy phone that's not even the same variant I submitted I feel cheated

Assurant Solutions Stolen ring

First off let me say this even when I was trying to submit my claim thru fax which is such a pain the neck I tried to send it but it seemed like they kept disconnecting the call it would not make it to the second page I thought it was just my phone line I went to several places just to fax it I had to be on the phone with this guy for an hour and half he assured me that there is nothing wrong with their line they gave me 3 different numbers and so many try's before they got all the pages plus they said that they will send a letter within two business days it's been two weeks then I call them and said that it was denied. Mind you my wife's rings were stolen but they gave me this bs loop hole that there was no forced entry. I'm pretty sure that they will come up with something else that they will deny it don't trust this bs company

Assurant Solutions Payment not received

Dear customer service,
My name in iakovos panotas
On march/13th I file a claim of a lost/stolen phone. Claim number [protected]
March/21 assurance solution send me a blocked iphone (unable to be used) after a phone conversation with t-mobile associate, as told me, will send me a return label to send the blocked iphone back to send me a new one.
Which I did as they said. (several weeks later they told me it was a wrong what they did) however, 2 weeks past didn't received nothing, I call and they told me nothing arrived at the warehouse, should call fedex find out if phone lost or what happen. And, to file a claim with fedex.
I did that, 2 weeks later fedex send me a letter, that is not my business, assurant solution should give you a new phone and they should file a claim with fedex, not you!
Time past and my wife needs the phone which use for business.
After several phone calls and a week later, they told me they investigate and will send me a new phone asap.
In the mane time, we buy a new phone as t-mobile requests.
We request now to send us a check the money.
Last week, they told me the case is close b/c the $175 deposit for lost phone is disputed, which is a lie (however, my amex card has stolen and several weird charges out of ny state thousand of $ and automatically stop all payments) however, after I spoke with them and new card arrive they said will try to contact all those charges march/april period.
Yesterday, I was on the phone once again with assurance solutions supervisor three way call with t-mobile.
First they told me all the past info assurant had gave me it was wrong, my claim is approved and looking to find out why I didn't received my money.
Get in to the point to finalize and t-mobile no need to stay on line any longer, assurant came again we on the phone after 136min, they told me that, according to t-mobile pc notes, this specific blocked iphone it was activated from march/21 until march/28 and b/c of that reason, the case is close, nothing else they can do. They can't pay for a new phone.
I said, what?. Just like that?

I went to t-mobile store once again for 10th time, and they said, this is a lie, we do not have a note like this on our computer, that this specific imei # is activated. Is not possible. It was blocked to start with. How can we activated. T-mobile told me,
And why, assurant solutions send you a return label to send phone back? And why you by a new phone? And why you file a claim?
It is very simple, they do't want to pay you. That what t-mobile told me.
Typically they messing me around give me none sense answers to avoid pay me.
I will deeply appreciate to please take care of this issue if you can.
I very disappointed for this such horrible experiences I have. This people lie to me over and over telling me excuses to try so hard not to pay me.

Someone in my contact list sends messages asking for cash to individuals. They put in the spam filter the contact's messages, so the answers go to spam. I haven't clicked on any email links, so I don't know how they keep getting the password. Someone was talking about a bot. I also ran malware bytes and super anti-spyware, but only non-critical adware turned up. Any suggestions about my next move to resolving my issue? Should I go for a geek squad support help... but they don't answer me well as I always opt for another website like https://www.sgeeksquad.com/geek-squad-24-7-support/ ... if any suggestions would be better!

Assurant Solutions Cell phone insurance

I will cancel this service once (if) I ever receive a new phone from this company. I've been trying to file a claim for 3 days to no avail. Even the people at the t-mobile store agreed that the process should not be this difficult. After 3 days, 3 visits to the t-mobile store, and no less than 7 phone calls to this company, I still have no answers regarding my claim and when I go online it says that the claim is no longer being processed! I will go through apple store and file lost/stolen phone will my homeowners insurance.

Assurant Solutions JPMorgan Chase Bank

I am absolutely furious and this entire process, it has been extremely painful and full of delays and incompetence with the latest call being the most infuriating. We have been waiting for weeks to get the check released to pay our contractor. By the time anyone told us we had to go through this BS process all the work had been done and completed and we were invoiced by the contractor...First, the time it takes to get an 90% work completion inspection and the breakdown between what they agree is approved then to change their mind and schedule a second inspection is bad enough...then to say they will send us the check made out to the contractor and us as owners, to be requested by myself to remove us from the check and send directly to the contractor to save time since it has already dragged on for weeks...to be told this was not a problem and it would be overnighted via Fedex directly to the contractor...then, incompetence strikes again, they do eventually get a check printed and Fedex to the contractor, only it goes to the contractor made out to us and NOT the contractor...now, they tell us we have to submit a written note to them online stating we want them to make the check out to the contractor and send directly...only adding even more time to this ridiculous process leaving us having to tell an already frustrated contractor that this check will be delayed again...additionally, even the work completion inspector mentioned how incompetent this process is for them.

I can't even access the website insuranceclaimcheck.com/suntrust. It has been 8 days and when I call, I get dropped or sent to a different line. I'm appalled that Suntrust Mortgage would trust this company. I can't get the forms I need for my contractor and am scared to send the insurance check. I need to contact my banking commission.

I am going through this same process with ICC but have pennymac as my mortgager. Painting and flooring is all that is left to complete in my home. My husband and I have had to pay for roofing and drywall out of pocket because of how difficult they make the process. They require a contractor when the state I live in doesn't require a contractor license for drywall, paint or flooring. I've sent paid in full receipts and they ask for more proof that I paid.. Including bank statements which I provided. They refuse to reimburse us. Today I contacted the NC banking commission. We've been dealing with ICC since October 2018.

I'm having MANY problems with Insuranceclaimcheck.com.chase also. I send in invoices or receipts and they say they are "Not Accepted" yet in computer it doesn't say which one is not OK with them . I sent in one invoice along with the proof of payment which is paid from my CHASE account. They rejected it because the invoice said Pro line and not the same Co as the receipt on the Chase account t print out. They are a manufactures rep and sell many other products and run their business through a LLC. Chase expects a company to change the way they do business by changing their llc TO SAY Pro Line which is a product only. Chase is making this project a huge pain in the A*s!

calling to complain doesn't do anything, A big waste for time.

Steve Brooks, Executive Director, Chase Bank. [protected]. DEMAND to speak to him. I didn't actually get to speak to him and was "accidentally" hung up on twice until someone from the executive dept. took my call. He was very nice however and waited on the line with me for over 50 minutes, which is how long it took him to contact someone at the escalation team from ICC. I told him "welcome to what we as consumers deal with every time we try to get answers!" I have never experienced such incompetence in my life. As if losing our home to a hurricane isn't bad enough, you are treated like you're trying to steal your own money! This whole process is preposterous, and something needs to be done about it! Not sure what, as big banks control the money, we're just pawns in the game.
Chase is horrible, and I plan to refinance, probably a dumb move because they are ultimately all the same bunch of crooks! I feel a little better :).

I’m in the same boat in Ohio . Chase won’t release insurance funds for repairs . They approve forms then deny them - day will overnight check then want a form that doesn’t exist . No one there as far as supervisors and even managers are willing to help . Feel sorry for anyone who has Chase and their lender . We had a tornado here and everyone else on my street who had other lenders had no problem getting their funds released . Their roofs are long fixed . This claim was filed in April and chase has held the check in escrow ever since . It’s now nearly September and I have sent every form under the sun and they still want forms that aren’t even listed in the packet . It is so unreal that NO ONE at Chase at any level is willing to help .

I feel the pain and similarities between the experience with this nightmare of a company (InsuranceClaimCheck.com ), which Freedom Mortgage has administering the release of funds for Hurricane Irma related repairs to my home.
I have sent them all of the required and requested (& then complexity signed "corrected") paperwork, contractor proposals, estimates licenses, waiver of liens, and even paid in full invoices for materials and work I had to pay out of pocket because they had told me they would be releasing an initial disbursement of $40K, which was over a month ago.

Instead, they set up an inspection to confirm the expenses I paid for were completed. The independent inspector they sent came out twice and concluded at least 70% of the repairs were completed. ICC fiddled around with the reports "Review in Process" for nearly a week before they started processing the first check disbursement check for only one of the many items already completed... During which time I upload more paid receipts, photos of more items being completed, and written letters requesting reimbursements, at least up to the 70% of the insurance claim settlement check I sent them. Nada, Zilch!

While on the phone, I'm told the $13K check it is being made to the contractor, although I had already paid that invoice in full and had provided ICC documentation of signed invoice, W9, COI (Certificate of Insurance) and contractors lien waiver release for this this invoice. Whether it is pure incompetence or some sort of stall tactic that in some way benefits them, it is unacceptable!

I requested for that check to be cancelled and to issue it to me along with reimbursement for paid store bought receipts I was initially told wouldn't require the additional documentation since it's from a store (e.g. Home Depot, etc.). I was told the request is being made. Another two weeks pass without any sort of release of MY insurance benefits claim settlement to repair my house nor reimbursement of none of the nearly $57K of receipts and paid in full invoices.

Today, (August 17th) was told that my home sales contract states repairs would have to be 100% complete before they disbursement of any funds. Ridiculous, Absurd, Aggravating, Stressful, and infuriating to name a few non-explicit adjectives that are being experienced.

Through all this, my mortgage payments have been made on time, I've maxed out my credit cards and emptied my savings account to get repairs completed as quickly as possible to prevent further damages to my family home and the very pottery being held as collateral for my mortgage... I'm now in a financial crisis because they have yet to release one dime and trying to scrap up funds to hire an attorney to assist.

In the mean time, the level of incompetence and utter disregard for stress a loss encountered while dealing with ICC (InsuranceClaimCheck.com) must be report. In the process of researching I came across your post and gather all of my documents to file complaints with the FTC, Consumer finance.gov, and directly with Freedom Mortgage.

Thank you for sharing your story. Hopefully it all finally worked out for you. It quite likely there are many more similar untold stories that mortgage companies need to be made aware of to stop these bullies that blatantly discard common sense and decency all while holding your insurance claims funds for repairs hostage. It's no wonder why ICC is eerily similar to "ICK", utter disgust!

I am just starting this process with ICC and am already getting the run around. After they finally agreed that I had given all of the required forms, they completely fabricated that my home was a total loss and wanted blueprints of the new structure I was building. ? At no place in the insurance adjuster's notes does it say anything remotely about the house being a total loss, and ICC has a signed contract listing the repairs to be done. Now, I'm told an exception has been put in for the blueprints, and I will have to wait another 3-5 days before a check will be issued. Why am I waiting when there was never a need for blueprints to start with? I am wondering what excuse they will come up with next. I tried to go to Suntrust Bank for help and was referred back to ICC. If there are any more delays, I am contacting a lawyer, the President of Suntrust, my congressman and anyone else who will listen. This is really poor public relations on the part of Suntrust, especially where is concerns victims of the recent hurricanes. I'm quite sure I'm not the only one having issues with ICC. I am on social media trying to find other people who are being maltreated by this company in the aftermath of these disasters. If there are enough of us, maybe we can get the media to shine a light on this problem.

Dated 7 15 17. I experienced exactly the same unbelievably aggravating inexcusable incompetence (or perhaps intentional delay) from insuranceclaimcheck.com. I wasted an extraordinary amount of time trying to recover insurance money from them to pay my contractor. I had to pay the contractor myself because the contractor walked off the job (all of which was a huge problem due to a pending divorce and the fact that I was waiting to get work done to list house). I was told I needed one document (a contractor license) then told the next day by a different agent that they would waive the requirement because Illinois doesn't provide carpenter licenses but was then told I needed one again and that there was no waiver in my file. I was later told that the contractor bid was rejected because we hadn't signed it, but when I sent it countersigned I was told it was illegible, then told it was fine, and then told again it was rejected as illegible. After that, they finally sent out an inspector who said my job looked great and was 100% complete. But ... one of their agents said they didn't have the report. Then they said the inspection wasn't complete and demanded a report from a date that there was no inspection . Then I heard from their inspection company that they talked to the inspector who confirmed the inspection wasn't complete but in the same message asked for the inspector's name and contact info (but she had talked to him?). Fortunately, I had the inspector send me a copy of the report and it looks like after many many weeks I may finally receive the funds. My mortgager is Citizens One.
