Parts Geek fraudulent practices

Ordered some parts from the Parts Geek website www.partsgeek.com. Expected to get the parts they showed on their website, since they indicated the parts were in stock. On check out the shipping was $7.50 which seemed a little high due to the small parts I had ordered, a gasket, a grommet, a Pcv hose connector, and such. They charged me $15 for shipping after the order. Two of the parts should have been Dorman parts, but were not. The PCV hose connector never shipped and the grommet was the wrong part period let a lone not being a Dorman part. This company does not apear to be a real parts store. The simply order the parts from other stores and make their money on the shipping or something like that. They have numerous complaints with the Better Business Bureau and have an F rating. I am so surprized they are in business and have not been shut down. Buyer Beware ! They have numerous complaints on this site, and obviously nothing has changed ! DO NOT BUY FROM PARTS GEEK, you will not be satisfied.

Parts Geek wrong part & no refund

Purchased a 2004 wheel hub assembly they sent the wrong part! This is after I confirmed before shipping that it was the correct part. Two months after returning part still no word or refund. Apperently there are others: don't do business with these people

I just checked BBB and they have a B rating and have resolved 636 complaints over the past 5 years. Not a bad record. Personally, I've never had a problem

Partsgeek.com sent me the wrong parts, and wants me to pay for shipping back to them!

This is after already charging for two separate shipping fees for the headlights in one box and the parking lights in another!

Parts Geek bad service

If you like giving your money away this is the place PartsGeek.com I ordered a fuel pump an OEM part listed on their website but it is incorrect. I have been calling and emailing for over two weeks to get a hold of anyone who can give me a RMA # to return the part. Customer service SUCKS!no one picks up and no return calls, I think this is an example of a garage operation with no customer service and an incorrect catalog on the web site. I would gladly pay more at any other web site and I will in the future. This is my last order with PartsGeek. I caution if there is a problem you are stuck with IT. Buyers beware. Save yourself the aggravation and call the website before you order. If you can’t reach them keep shopping on another site.or buy at your local parts store where you have face to face people you can talk to.$200 fuel pump setting in my in my shop.

Dont be fool by their cheap prices, once you order something from them your basically stuck with the item. You caint cancel or change yor order, plus their customer service sucks. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

Parts Geek ripped off on refund for returned part

These people totally screwed me on an expensive part I returned. They act like they are on drugs. They do not answer the phone. They do not call back when requested. Each time I write them, they ask for more information and when I give it, they ask for more. Finally, they act like I'm not requesting an RMA, when I already got one and sent the part in. Now they say they will "Look" for the part. I've filed a Better Business Bureau Complaint against them. I also found out they have an "F" rating by the BBB.

I have two dozen pages of emails that have gone back and forth between them and I. A judge will laugh at them. They never respond. I've called them and can not get through on the telephone--even on the sales line. They don't take calls because they screw everybody over.

My next step is to have my lawyer contact them, and then I'll file suit against them, and I won't settle out of court. I'll make them pay and pay for the court costs, because these people should not be in business.

I was going to return a part that cost $100.00 but to ship it back was $126.00. I don't know what has happened to this company but I will not be doing business with them anymore.

And again, it is Dane. I just want to reach as many of you all complainants as possible. The Parts Geek web site is flirting with some seriously felonious practices and they need to be brought up short. There are things such as liens that can be placed on their inventory/business equipment etc. to assure that we all get our money and our costs (even legal) back as well as a possible class action suit. I am not an attorney but if there are enough of us pulling together then perhaps we can afford legal help.
The first order of business would be to create a list of wronged customers who are committed to getting their money back and stopping the criminal scamming of consumers. At the point of subscription we would retain an attorney in the city of record (sorry, can't remember the city name right now). The attorney would create an escrow account where all of our retainer and court fees would be held and only released based on actual billable time and performance of the attorney.
I am dead serious about this. I will not be taken advantage of again by a company or person who thinks that stonewalling is the way to freely rip off the public.

I ordered a 200.00 AC compressor and it was the wrong part. Geek discount auto hung up twice during calls to resolve the problem. After that they flagged my phone number and the call would not go through. I immediately called my Visa card and stopped payment to the SOB's. I will ship the part back paying the freight if necessary getting a return receipt and tracking verification that it arrives. That way they will get charged for the freight by visa and I can get my money back. You have to get proof you sent the part and a receipt they got it.

I GOT SAME SERVICE AS THE ONES IN REVIEW STATED. YOU CAN'T CALL THEM .THEY PUT YOU ON HOLD AND THAN HANG UP. I ORDERD A PACK OF 100 DOOR PANEL CLIPS. FOR 2.95 AND I SAID THAT IS GREAT DEAL. I GOT ONE CLIP . I EMAIL THEM AND SAID ORDER AGAIN AND CAME UP. 100 CLIPS AND THAN SHOW 1 CLIP. COST ME 12.95 FOR ONE CLIP AND I HAD PAY TO RETURN IT AND THAT COST ME .I DID GET A REFUND BUT DID NOT GET IT ALL BECAUSE I HAD PAY TO RETURN THE PART. I STILL GET EMAILS FOR TO ORDER FROM THEM, BUT NO MORE ORDERS FROM ME.I NOW ORDER PARTS FOR OLD VEHICLES FROM J BUG FOR MY VW. THEY ARE GREAT AND SEND WHAT YOU ORDER.

I made an online purchase at Part geek LLC and was referred to Free Shipping for a refund of my shipping charges of 9.95. Free Shipping has been posting amounts as sales of 12.97 for 3 months using my credit card. Dates of transactions are 9/9, 10/9 and 11/8. These people are thieves

This may be lengthy but some good info if you want to buy your parts from Parts Geek.
A couple years ago I bought a part from them and it was defective, like everyone else I tried and tried to call them and no one answers their phone. So I followed their instructions and send the part back to them with an RMA number given by them.. at the time I was in the military prepping to go overseas. Two weeks went by and no communication from them so I called the credit card company and opened a dispute. They said they never received the part. I had no access to the internet for 45 days because I was in a war zone. When I did I answered the dispute with all documentations and their reply was that I had 30 days to answer and did not so I lost the case.
Now I own a business, for the last 2 years I have been buying my parts from Rockauto.com and any time I have an issue there is always someone you can talk to and if there is a problem with a part they will pay for the shipping back to them unlike Parts Geek where you have to pay.
Anyway recently with a knot in my stomach I ended up buying 2 parts from the Geeks hoping they would arrive in tact and have no issues. Unfortunately RockAuto did not have these parts. When I opened the box one part was good, the other broken, not from shipping but from where ever it came from. Now my stomach started to turn that I would again have issues with these #%&*%$. I tried calling but after waiting for 40 minutes on the phone, a recording finally came on and said they were supper busy and to call another time. Now they gave me a RMA number and I have to pay for shipping on a defective part again. You know you can't fix STUPID, that's me.. This will never happen again I am home from overseas now so I will fight them all the way. The next time RockAuto does not have my part I will go to Napa or Advance and save the aggravation.. DO YOURSELF A BIG FAVOR AND DON'T BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE EVER..TRY IT FOR YOURSELF CALL THEIR PHONE FOR CUSTOMER HELP AND YOU WILL SEE WHAT WE ARE ALL COMPLAINING ABOUT BEFORE YOU BUY...

I invite all of the ripped off and bleeding from PG to contact me. I really want to take them to task and think that if we pool our resources we can just shut the SOB's down and get our money back. I think that wire fraud and or just plain old theft could be applied here.

I ordered a suspension conversion kit from them in May it was the wrong one. I followed all their instructions and sent the part back. It was signed for by an employee named jGonzalez at their faculty in Carson california. They are telling me now that they can’t give me my 655.00 refund because they can’t verify that the part was returned. I’m beyond infuriated!

I had the same problem with fuel injector returns. They got my parts and said they did not to Amex. Do not do business with this idiots or you will get e-screwed like the rest of us.

I had the same frigging experience on an alternator with these guys. Ordered one, they shipped two! Days later and charged me for both! Turns out both had bent pulleys on them! Then they tell me to return the the extra & core for credit. Do they offer to pay shipping, nooooooooo! So I carefully followed their detailed instructions and paid it and still no refund after several weeks and emails. What a rip off!

These guys are into me now for over $200 not to mention hours of time and frustration. They suck big time. I'll stick with AutoPartsWarehouse from now on. Stay away, far away from Parts Geek!

Parts Geek will not deliver

If you consider ordering online parts from this business DON'T! When a consumer places and order and an issue arrises...good luck with trying to contact a service rep. The consumer is put through a automated phone prompted system, after 6-8 minutes of waiting "on hold to speak to a representative", the consumer is forwarded to a voicemail box. This company will "NEVER" call you back. When a consumer finally speaks to a representative the rep at the other end is confrontational.

If a consumer becomes angry or upset, their response is well...we will just cancel your order...

Not a company I am will to work with...Neither should you!

This company has the absolute worst service and personell I have ever had the misfortune to deal with! I ordered 4 window motors, they sent me 2 incorrect ones. I complained about the 2 incorrect ones (by submitting and on-line request which will not be answered until the next working day actually 3 business days later). Their solution to send me 2 more incorrect parts! Never was able to talk or even exchange emails directly with one person. This company clearly does not wish to speak to the customer. I sent a request to return the parts and the brainiac that responded, said that I ordered parts for a 2-door car which is interesting because I ordered FRONT AND REAR window motors! Now on my own nickle they want me to send them the parts back. I am so spitting mad and am using every ounce of restraint not to drop every four, five, six and seven letter explitive in complaining about them. $140 in parts and I have no confidence I will get a nickle back. If anyone knows of a class action lawsuit against these theifs I would gladly join!

I ordered a taillight for my van. After 2 weeks I started to trace the shipment. It supposedly was turned over to the Post Office. The Post Office said that tracking number was never turned over to them. I have used the "Ticket" method, explained I had not received my part and that the tracking number showed it never left their location. The response was, "it was turned over to the Post Office". I guess they can't read because I said that the Post Office did not receive the part. The next response I received was that the issue had been turned over to their warehouse. Now I get an email saying that my return authority will be send under another email soon. Amazing incompetence and lack of customer service.
I sure wish I had checked them out before I ordered from them. Now I have to ask my credit card company to charge back the purchase for failure of the seller to produce the product or resolve the issue.
Please don't purchase from this company.

I ordered a water pump and it came with out gasket so I went out and got one so I emailed them about the missing gasket with a picture from the mfd that says it is included and they say it is not included all I wanted was a credit for the gasket I had to buy to use the part instead they give me the run around like send the pump back and we can send you a new one like the new one will have the gasket mean while I spend my money to send it back to them and then they will charge me again to ship so a $6. Oo gasket would cost me at least $20.00 and there web sight says we pride ourselfs in providing the best cust service wow we should bolt there bath room doors shut till they get it right

I ordered a part from this "business" on saturday evening. When I got my email confirmation moments later I realized I ordered a part for my accord (Not my civic) I have several honda's. I emailed them repeatedly and attempted to call them multiple times with no response. This is a store front with no customer service. The wrong part shipped on tuesday afternoon. And now I have to pay return shipping and a 15% restocking fee. Never order from these geeks/goons again..

Ordered parts from Parts Geek parts arrived very quick not a problem their, the problem is you can't get in touch with this company other than e-mailing a stupid ticket. The problem is they only answer this thing once a day, now I am stuck with this exhaust that don't fit, I cantacted the credit card co and they are now handling this. DON'T BUY FROM THIS CO trust me I made a big mistake.

I ordered shocks for truck weeks ago. They sent tracking through Fed-Ex.. Fed-Ex says parts were damaged so they won, t ship them. Parts geek sends me a return authorization number and tells me they will review the parts in 30! days and if they are damaged I will still have to pay return shipping! I e-mailed customer service I never received parts and that it is on the Fed-Ex tracking site that they never left origin. Can't get through to anyone can't talk to anyone I am out $200 bucks any response takes a day or two this is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with in my life. I am going to sue them. I will see if there is enough of their scamming practices to maybe initiate class action suit . I will file small claims suit next week. they really need to be stopped. They are doing business on consumers money by initiating the payment action on the consumers credit card then stalling them through fictitious problems and basically doing a ponzzi scheme. It ends up working because people get frustrated and give up.

I ordered a part for my car and was pleased to receive it overnight, as I paid for. Turned out parts geek had sent the wrong part. It was very difficult using the information on their website to actually get a hold of anyone to resolve the situation. When you call their 800 number you get put on hold for a long time and then finally get voice mail. E-mails to their customer service department were not responded to. I was finally able to get someone on the phone and received an acknowledgment that the wrong part was shipped. Was told I would have to pay again to get the correct part shipped right away and they would credit me when the first part was returned. Like an idiot, I paid for the second part and of course it was the wrong part, too. Repeated phone messages and e-mails were just so much blah, blah on their part. Bottom line is I am out $250+, have two parts that don't fit my car and the whole situation took 2 weeks to get to this point, thanks to parts geek's ineffective customer service. I finally returned the two incorrect parts at my expense, insured/receipt requested and disputed the credit card charges with my credit card company. I will never do business with this company again and I suggest no one else do so, either.

Parts Geek ordered one brand... received another...

Well I have ordered from parts geek a couple of control arms for my ford probe and I have received them parts in a couple of days... This is the good part of the story... The bad part is that about a week after that I needed a couple of tie rod s ends for the same car... And on the site they have the brand that I have ordered... Same brand as the control arms... And I ordered a couple of them... And this time it took just about 2 days longer for me to receive them... Witch is not bad... The bad part is that they are another brand... Not the one that I have seen on the site... They look a lot cheaper than the brand I have ordered... But they just do not give a # about it... I sent a short e mail to the losers... And they a mailed to me back with some kind of cod so I can mail the stupid part to them at my own cost... That should not be fair at all... Because the stupid once should pay for their own mistakes... Am I wrong?... Well they do not give a # like I mentioned and I will end up driving my car with the cheap and funny looking parts... But just because they are not responsible enough to fix the problem at their own cost I will not buy from this losers again... Never ever... Because I just don t know what a heck is next... May be receive a #

Parts Geek parts geek is awesome - dont believe this place

This board I have found is run by companies posting fake complaints then extorting money by telling the company that they can get them removed for a fee. I have ordered from partsgeek mutiple time and have no issues. And I have called in to place every order. They do answer phones and emails.

Dane again, it is a couple of years sine I last tried to get satisfaction from PARTS GEEK. I have such a hate for them because I am still stuck with a so called rebuilt PS pump that I can never use nor sell to someone else.
It is 04/20/2019
I will continue to dun them as long as they are I business to warn prospective customer.

These people are criminals! I ordered a rebuilt power steering pump and it came in a box that-in their return and shipping rules-they would not have accepted for a return. Yet I was supposed to accept it as okay for an original purchase. The pump was compromised with ground away bolt heads and the box was dirty, greasy and generally dilapidated. I tried to get a return authorization but the jerk kept ignoring my emails. I finally contacted the BBB in the company's area and was told to get in line for any satisfaction from them. That was a year and three months ago and I have given up. Anybody out there want to try their luck with a rebuilt PS pump? I will sell it cheap!

My experience with this company has been very negative. They shipped me a the wrong part that was removed by the vendor years before. Then replaced it with the wrong part after I gave them the original part number, They have you pay for their mistakes by shipping heavy parts back to them and pay the extra money for tracking because their warehouse will not have a record of the item "Both times". I like the sales rep. until his messages always indicated I gave him wrong info or car must have been modified even though i gave him the Ford part number, but in the end I still have not received my money, and the excuse is always my fault. PLEASE GOOGLE this company before doing any large amount of money transactions. It my save you money by paying a little higher prices in the end.

This agency is decietful in it's practices. I just purchased a product for two day shipping and was suprised and ready to leave glowing feedback about my experience when it came in just one day.

However -they sent the WRONG part. I paid almost as much for the overnight shipping as I did for the part. Now I find out that I have to pay for the return shipping, as WELL as wait 30 days for my refund - AND I do't get refunded for the shipping I already paid. I'm sorry but it seems to me the only time you get the wrong parts is when you order the expidited shipping.

Needless to say I won't be ordering through them again.

They are rated a F. It doesn't get worse than that. I am still waiting on my credit for damage merchandise that I received.

A cardboard box does not protect a product from being damaged. That is the only thing that was used for the the Sunroof deflector that I ordered. It was stuck in a cardboard box and shipped. Of course it was broke when I received it and they wanted me to pay to have it shipped back. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

As the customer before me has stated the only way to resolve a issue with them is to contact the BBB.

Parts Geek wrong parts no customer service

website states parts will work for my year of car which they did not, one electronic part they sent was defective out of the box, and it takes 30min to reach a real person over the phone. pay the extra money with another company and avoid the headache.

Please join my group on Facebook..."Boycott PartsGeek.com". I recently received an incorrect part from PartsGeek. After I returned it on my own dollar, I was refused a refund due to the fact I shipped Priority and could not supply a tracking number. Alert the BBB and FTC. Spread the word! Keep consumers safe!

Parts Geek customer service

This is the worst company; I wish I had read other's reviews before I ordered anything from them. I ordered 4 car mats for my Jaguar and the next thing you know, I get in the mail 2 front car mats for a Volvo truck. It has taken them 11 days to get back to me on how to return these items; and as I thought, they expect me to pay to return THEIR MISTAKE. I am now going to my credit card company to file a complaint. I will NEVER order another anything from this company. If you were smart, you would do the same.

BBB WAS VERYPROMPT IN RESPONDING AND ACTED AS AN AUTHORITY MEDIATOR IN RESOLVING THE MATTER. In less than a several days, PARTS GEEK contacted me to settle my return. In less than a week, I was able to return the item and get follow-up confirmation from PARTS GEEK and BBB in the shipping process. FINALLY, less than three weeks later, I am being refunded my purchase cost.

I hope this helps! When mailing anything back-- get insurance and tracking services! Follow-up with PARTS GEEK every few days with emails and voicemail messages. Save all emails. Stay consistent and patient. It will work~

Parts Geek missing part/poor customer service

The price and shipping features were excellent however the actual ordered item had a viatl part missing delivery. I spoke with a customer service agent (after hours of calling the 800#) and was told that I'd receive a callback after she checked with the factory site about the incomplete order. I have not had any contact from PARTSGEEK nor have I been able to speak with a live person after leaving numerous voice messages and emails requesting support. My car has been sitting at the repair site because I cannot use the shipped item. Very poor customer service skills~

Parts Geek fraudulent practices never buy!!

They do not answer phone or emails! I bought a spark plug wire set from them and when it arrived it looked great, except wrong part number. Essentially what they did is sold a cheaper set and lied about the part number claiming that, that is what their computer says is the same, it is not. I could of got the part they sold me from amazon with free shipping for $12 dollars less, and would not of paid extra to them in order to get what should have been a better set. All said and done they are not worth extra stress in my life so I kept the product as technically it does fit my car and I need it. However, I warn you never buy from them! They simply do not care about customers, as I found out the hard way I called 6 times and sent an email. One time I got a person after waiting on hold for 45min. They lied to me about the part and hung up without even listening to my whole concern! Never Ever Under Any Circumstances would I recommend them, and I warn everyone else please heed my warning before it happens to you as well!

Parts Geek is a total rip off. When I pointed out that a part they shipped to me wasn't compliant with their own return policy-it had been returned by another pissed off customer and they just shipped it out in a filthy box-which is what their return policy said that they would not accept for a return I wanted to return it for my money back. The clerk that I dealt with pushed me to install it and see if it was really bad. He said that then, if I wanted, he would refund my money. It was bad. After that, when I tried to get an RA he would not and never did respond to my communications. I tried the BBB route but never got satisfaction because their process was so complex that I became seriously depressed and could not follow through. I hate Parts Geek and wish that jerk all the worst possible for what he did to a transaction that should have been a simple and honest thing. I sincerely think that he bought a discount lot of rebuilt power steering pumps which were bogus and which he had no way to return because it was one of those deals that was a wink-wink, nod-nod out the back of an unmarked truck. Criminal is really the correct word. Why else would he be so averse to honoring his guarantee. He lost in a shady deal and as usual with criminal types he cannot accept that he screwed up. That is why he will not communicate with the screwed customers because if he did he would be just as bankrupt as his morals are!

Ordered an auto part from PartsGeek using their on-line order process. Two days later got an email from them that there was a problem supplying the part. After another two days they sent another email that the part was shipped. Four days later the part arrived. The the next day another part arrived - same part. The next day another. Turns out all three are the same part, but the wrong part. I have attemped to call their customer service number [protected], but all that happens is that you are placed on hold, then after a few minutes you are disconnected. I have now called 3 times over two days. I have been billed 3 times for the wrong part, they will not answer the phone and my car is still not working (obviously)and I am out $360. Recommend you do not use PartGeek as they are a very unprofessional, unreliable business.

Parts Geek customer service

I ordered some parts from this company (Parts geek) a few days ago and ordered overnight shipping and have yet to recieve the parts. I called ups and they didn't have any information as to where my parts were. Ups told me to contact parts geek to find out where the parts were. I called about 15 times, sent about 10 emails to there customer service department, and left about 10 messages for them to call me back and i have still yet to get a response from anyone in there company. Even if it isn't there fault as to why i haven't recieved my parts it still does not give them an excuse to not return any of my messages or emails. You would think that they would try to give me some inclination that they are trying to do everything they can to help me find the parts (That i purchased from them) i ordered. I am so pissed off by their lack of customer service that i am going to let as many people possible know never to order anything from this company and or there other 70 names they go by. I will find them all and i will bash everyone of them on every website possible ie; my space, face book, etc.

Went on web site and ordered, paid for, and had them ship. Everything was good except back rotors. They where not for a dually! They wanted me to ship the entire order back to them and I pay.

Ordered a power steering unit it was defective received it on 11/27/2023 called them to return it on 12/19/2023

well within the 30 days guarantee so for it's cost ,e an extra $120.00 for my mechanic and they want me to pay for shipping the defective part back.

I ordered 2 abs sensors through their online chat. I provided my VIN but still recieved 1 incorrect sensor. I filled out an online return request and heard nothing back for over a week. As I type this, I have been on hold for 37 minutes. I am giving up on returning part and will sell it on ebay. Never again PartsGeek.com

Parts Geek WILL NOT pay for return shipping if you order online. They were very rude and put the blame on the customer. Heavy parts can cost over $100 to ship returns. There is NO NOTICE of this policy on their website. Very poor customer service and bad business practices. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!
