I mailed a card on 7/11/2025 at my Office Depot, Crossroads Blvd., San Antonio TX. Sara, the associate that helped me charged me for a 2 pound package rather than a 2 ounce package -- it was a birthday card I was mailing. When I told her I thought the amount was really high for mailing a card - $13.20, she just made a comment that things were going up in price. When I reviewed the transaction later in the day, I noticed that I was charged for a 2 pound package rather than a 2 ounce card. I returned to the store to talk to Sara about it and she told me I had to take this up with the post office -- it went by way of USPS. I thought that was strange, but I did so. The employee at the post office was very kind and said this was something Office Depot needed to handle since that's where my receipt came from. I thought so too. I went back to Office Depot only to be disillusioned. Sara was not in, but 2 other ladies that worked there, very rude, just said there was nothing they could do. I asked why? They said because the transaction had already been handled and the card mailed. Wow! I told them both they lacked 'customer service' skills, were very rude and I would not be back! From now on, I will mail cards/packages somewhere else and will no longer shop at this store. Anything y'all can do for me? The postage should have been under $5 for a card, not $13! I should have just mailed this card on my own using 3 or 4 forever stamps!
