Ocwen review: final payoff quote

i had done a msam modification four years ago and was told 19, 000 was being forgiven if i kept the modification for four years. upon the final monthly payment that i attempted to bring my account current within the grace period, they informed me that they would not take the payment because the mortgage would mature the following day. i asked what was due they quoted 10, 000 dollars, which i replied ok and ask that they use the insurance loss funds that they were holding from a previous loss and they replied we have to first calculat a payoff. theprincipal balance was 2700 and the total payoff finally came to 22700 after they reinserted the 12700 in waived modification fees. thier position is i defaulted on the final payment that they refused to take which surpassed the grace period . and took their time with providing a final payoff which i had been requeted for months leadind up to this date, i was told earlier to wit until december when the mortgage acually matured in september and then told the could not use those fundsbut have used part of them several years ago just by sending a release form. still have not received release form forfunds that are due me from the loss insurance department of ocwen.
