My house is only 840 square feet. We have 3 adults in the house and 2 of us are not home during the day. My NYSEG bill this month is over $800. That's about $500 more that this time last year. My well has not run for 2 months and my hot water heater has been off for the same amount of time so less usage over all. Can someone explain this to me. My electric bill is higher than my mortgage.

Recommendation: If possible avoid using NYSEG.
