I am the owner of a Nissan Qashqai Skypack. My vehicle identification number (VIN) is SJNTAAJ12U2135771, and I purchased the vehicle on 27/03/2025.
I would like to bring to your attention an important usability and safety-related observation regarding the Nissan Qashqai.
The vehicle is extremely quiet when running, which is a positive feature. However, in some situations, this may lead to unintentional oversight. On certain occasions, I have unintentionally left the engine running after exiting the vehicle, particularly because the start/stop button was not pressed.
As the smart key remains in my bag, the vehicle does not always provide a clear and noticeable warning when I move away from it while the engine is still running. As a result, I have left the vehicle running for extended periods on several occasions without immediate awareness.
In comparison, some other manufacturers provide audible alerts or visual warnings when the vehicle is left running or when the driver exits without properly shutting off the engine. Additionally, some systems automatically provide reminders or timed warnings to enhance user safety and awareness.
I fully understand that this may be considered user responsibility; however, I believe this could be improved as a safety and convenience feature for future models.
Therefore, I would like to kindly suggest the implementation of features such as:
* Audible alerts when the driver exits the vehicle while the engine is still running
* Visual warning signals (flashing lights or dashboard notification)
* Optional automatic shutdown or reminder system after a certain period of inactivity
This is not a complaint, but rather a constructive feedback and product improvement suggestion based on real user experience.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Kind regards,
