Me and my husband purchased a pre-owned aviator from a car dealer in Beech Grove. We test drove the car before buying it, and the engine and transmission were strong, going back and forth smoothly. The dealer mentioned that the oxygen sensor, idler pulley, and canister purge solenoid needed to be fixed, but there were no sounds or warning lights. As soon as we got back from buying the aviator, we took it to In-N-Out Automotive. They confirmed the dealer's assessment. We took it in on 4/24, and my husband and I picked up the car. However, it had a loud noise, so I asked them to inspect my car because it wasn't making that sound when they received it. Additionally, some parts were missing from my car that were there when they got it. The mechanic was surprised because the car wasn't sounding like this when we brought it in. He inspected it again and told us that there was a transmission problem and front parts were missing, which were present when I dropped it off. I requested the owner to contact me, and he did. I returned my car to In-N-Out for his assessment. He drove it and then accused me of being aware that parts were missing, refusing to fix it without charge. The repair would cost $700. I inquired about a payment plan due to my financial constraints. I questioned why the missing parts weren't mentioned initially. He assumed I knew. They worsened my car's condition, possibly to ensure repeat business. This is unethical. My car is now faulty, and I demand a refund. I'll seek repairs elsewhere and have evidence of their mishandling. The owner's conduct was rude and unjust. I simply want my money back.
