Their customer service is terrible. After making my final payment on my installment loan I went to check online to make sure they received it. They took my account off of my homepage with no way of looking for that payment or any other payment history. I then called their office and the person on the phone asked for my social security number to look up my account. I do not give anyone my ss number over the phone. After complaining online via message on my homepage with their website I checked for a response the next day and I was denied access to my M&T homepage. This is not customer service! I would never recommend this bank to anyone.

I second this. Twice I have had the absolute worst experience with this bank. Their customer service is by far the first of any company. Was on hold for over an hour and then hung up on. It seems any time I have a decent amount of money in my account they find any way to not let me use MY own money! I’m going to switch my account today! Never again!🤬
