This company charged my credit card twice without my knowledge ( the second time was a credit card # they did not have record of), keeps sending me order forms in mail( after I requested for them to remove me from their list ), and has just sent my old address a package with products that they want payment for... that I did not order... and I do not live there anymore... and had absolutely no contact with them what so ever.

First off, I signed up with them back in mid 2007 through one of their sales people. She had me fill out a form with my credit card information and home address. She did not discuss with me any of the details, she just informed me that I would receive a discount if I became a member.

One Month later I received a BIG box at my front door (that I did not order) from Melaleuca, along with the $70.00 Charge on my credit card that I did not authorize. I proceeded to contact the sales lady and complain. She then apologized and said she authorized the order, that under the form that I had signed I had agreed to order roughly $40.00 a month in merchandise. She did not review this with me. So, I then returned the merchandise to Meluleuca's head quarters and sent a hand written letter to the customer service dept. stating that I wanted to cancel my membership. This was their policy for cancellation. I also contacted my credit card company that this order was not authorized and should not be paid and had them change my credit card # for my account.

One year later, I saw a new charge on my new credit card # for the amount of $40.00 from Melaleuca. I immediately contacted my credit card company and had them stop payment of this charge and claimed this to be fraudulent. I sent Melaleuca an e-mail and they did not reply.

Since 2007 until now I am still receiving (forwarded to my new address) blank order forms and catalogs from Melaleuca that were sent to my old address and receiving general company e-mails, after which I have asked repeatedly to take me off the list!

I have now just received an e-mail stating that they have sent some products to my old address and want payment for the goods. Well I did not order any goods and I do not live there anymore!

Been with them 5 months. I'm a Single guy and I don't spend $70 a month on personal products but my food that I buy. So I decided to cancel. Man oh man. Even after faxing the form, sending it via mail, they're still saying they haven't gotten it and every month sending me their stuff which I have to give away. There is no way to take your credit card out of their system until they do it. They don't want you to go so they're gonna hold on to you till you get the Attorney General calling them to stop. Its been two months now and still getting e-mails and conference calls and call your friends over and meetings and products...ahhhhhhh...stop!

I was with Melaleuca for a couple of months and realized this wasn't for me. I sent them a notoarized cancellation letter and then canceled my credit card because I was warned that Melaleuca would continue to keep you stuck with them by shipping and charging you stuff you didn't order. WELL WHAT DO YOU KNOW! ITS TRUE!

After notarized hand written cancelation letter and canceled credit card I get confirmation a few days later saying they have recieved cancellation. Then a few days after that I get a email saying products have been shipped. WHY DID THEY DO THAT, THERES NO WAY TO CHARGE ME!

The crap arrived and then came the phone calls crying for there $72 bucks I told them send me the money and I would ship it back because I DIDN'T ORDER THIS! She said there policy was that I ship it back at my expense and she would credit my account. Fine whatever to get you people off of me, so I sent them there stuff back via priority mail with signature confirmatin.

And you know what these extortionist are still call wanting another $7 bucks and change to officially close the acount. PEOPLE STAY THE HECK AWAY!

I have all emails and confirmations to verify everyting I went through.

BecR how much you willing to bet, when I saw your comment I knew it was check mate for me.

Besides the points made above, the other statement about sending a package of products and now demanding payment for them, is another lie. This "complaint" is being made by someone with no first-hand knowledge of the Melaleuca company or they would know that Melaleuca does not ship any product until payment has been "secured". They do not extend credit. So, anyone reading any of these ridiculous stories on these so-called complaints, do not take them with even a grain of salt.

Something doesn't seem right about this complaint. This person signed up with Melaleuca in mid 2007, received her first package the next month (that they didn't know was coming) then canceled the membership. It seems very unlikely that Melaleuca would have charged the new credit card one year after the membership was canceled. How did Melaleuca get the new credit card number in order to place the charge on it? It also seems unlikely that the charged would be for exactly $40.00 for a monthly order. You agree to buy 35 points worth of products each month which usually amounts to around $50.00 to $60.00 depending on what is bought. I think this complaint itself is completely fraudulent.

The post before mine has been spread all over this site and is obviously false. I have read it in at least two other posts on this site alone. In fact, there are so many obviously fake complaints on this site that it seems like someone is personally out to discredit melaleuca or something. i thought this site was for legit complaints, not conspiracies.

I just too filed a complaint like you, here it is below...

I woke up this morning and pulled up my husbands checking account to find a pending transaction of $63.24 from Melaleuca. I have been a member of Melaleuca for 5 years now with a small downline. Knowing I had not placed a order nor had my husband, I began researching to find the charge was for a person in my downline. Her backup order shipped and her form of payment was declined so my husbands card was charged.

How does this happen? Well some time ago my downline was having rough times and I agreed to help her cover her points so I place a order for what I needed and used my husbands card online. Click the box to "not save form of payment" and you think your safe. Well with online orders, forms of payments are saved.

I called Melaleuca thinking this could be resolved but guess what. THEY HAVE THEIR MONEY AND CAN CARE LESS ABOUT ANYONE ELSE! This was pretty clear after going from Order Department to Customer Service and then to a Manager and having him tell me "we can not reverse the charge to a debit card, you are going to have to contact the downline and have her send you the money". I COULD NOT BELIEVE THIS WAS REAL, so I continued to argue that Melaleuca had not right to charge the card for something not initiated by this household but from them and their backup order program. The Supervisor went on to say there is nothing that could be done and argued with me the rules of ordering online - WHICH IS BULL_ _ _ _. I continued to demand he send me a check and take up collections with the customer not me the upline.

I know there is something so illegal about this so anyone with any help or info of what to do next please let me know.
Damage Resulting = Financial Loss of $. I nor my husband should be forced to pay for a downlines backup order and then forced to collect from them. Melaleuca had no authorization to the debit card that they had on file for a one time used in the past. My downline I am hoping is refusing the order and it will be returned, but how can I really know for someone who lives 3 states away.
