I was at MAVIS on the 11th and 18th of May 2023. Both times for engine repairs. On the 11th it was extensive repairs totaling $1,011.00 and on the 18th it was $690.00 for 4 plugs and one coil for the engine. I am not only complaining about their price I am complaining about their attitude, On the 11th when they went to charge my debit card it was declined, HOWEVER, not declined for lack of funds, but declined by the bank for possible fraud. As they called me shortly afterwards and I had a friend with me at that point to witness this matter. On the 18th when I returned as the vehicle was driving very rough the same "gentleman" was at the register/ I asked if he remembered me from the week before. His response floored me. He stated "Yes, but am I going to have to call your bank again to make sure you have the money to pay for the repairs." And mind you, there were customers in the store at that time. First off, he never called my bank, I did. Then had to wait for a return call as it was 8 PM. Which I did get, but in meantime used a credit card to pay for the repairs. I feel his embarassment tactics were uncalled for and the additional $690 price should have been less as they were just inside the engine 7 dayys before! The one mechanic even stated he saw dirt on the plugs. Well, that doesnt't happen in a week!
Desired outcome: As for the charges for the new repairs, I feel they need to be abated. I am willing to pay a discounted amount but not the amount they socked me with. That charge is absurd as they were just inside my engine the week before!
