On December 4, 2023 I purchased Lancome Renegie HPN 300 Peptide Cream. This was the first time I tried the product and used just enough product to give it a fair trial. Unfortunately it dried out my face and was unacceptable. It enlarged my pores and did not soften my skin.
My husband attempted to return it to the store and was refused. Your representative informed him that too much product had been used and the original box was required.
Your return policy says, “new or gently used” cosmetics may be returned and “Returned items must be in original sealable condition with original tags.”
Gently used is a vague and ambiguous term, and a reasonable inference would be no more of the product than was adequate to properly test, one application, which is the case here. Although I did not retain the box, your return policy does not state this as a condition. It says “sealable condition” and the product was sealed in its original jar. If the return policy required the box it would have stated so.
Therefore, I met all your return policy requirements and this return was wrongly denied. I am requesting Macy’s honor its return policy and provide a full refund.
Desired outcome: Full Refund
