Maaco Franchise review: Repainting my black Nissan Armada

I had an extremely poor experience at the Maaco location in Anderson, SC (Store #M2185) related to a repaint of my 2010 Nissan Armada.
From the initial quote to the present, this process has been marked by repeated missed deadlines, prolonged lack of communication, quality issues requiring multiple repaints, and unprofessional behavior from store management. I was repeatedly promised call-backs and completion dates that were not honored, often with no communication unless I initiated contact myself.
After the vehicle was first painted, I was later informed, only because I called, that cracking had appeared and would require additional work at extra cost. Despite extensive delays and service failures, I was pressured to pay more to correct issues that should have been identified as a risk up front. At one point, I was also threatened that the vehicle could simply be returned “as-is.”
Subsequent assurances by the store manager that he would personally oversee the repair and provide updates were repeatedly broken. The vehicle has now required multiple repaints due to quality issues, further extending the timeline well beyond what was originally promised. I also experienced dismissive and disrespectful communication from management during follow-up conversations. In total, my vehicle was in Maaco’s possession far longer than agreed - about 1 month, with repeated rework and constant uncertainty regarding final completion and billing.
All I have asked for from the beginning is reasonable communication, professional treatment, and a completed paint job consistent with the timelines and quality standards Maaco represented. Those expectations were not met.
