GMPartsDirect.com - Scam

So stupefyingly hideous is the Gmpartsdirect.com experience, you'll need to bathe in 10 gallons of disinfectant, get a full-body scrub and shampoo with vinegar to remove the scummy residue that remains after buying a part from Gmpartsdirect.com experience. It is a scam.

Purchased a bolt from Gmpartsdirect.com. Single bolt. Was charged - ready? - $2 for the bolt and $20 "shipping." For a 2-ounce, 1-1/2" piece of metal that would fit in a normal #10 business envelope.

Anyway, Gmpartsdirect.com sent the wrong bolt - say by a mile. Not even close.

Thus, the ambush began.

After several e-mails, back and forth, Gmpartsdirect.com, without ever admitting error, finally agreed to accept return of the wrong item. BUT, for the first time, Gmpartsdirect.com revealed that it does not refund shipping charges - even if it shipped the wrong part. Their mistake. You pay.

Wait. Wait. There's still some chicken on that bone. Even if Gmpartsdirect.com ships the wrong item, it charges the customer a "restocking fee" IF it agrees to a return. Yep. Their "mistake." You pay. You eat the artificially bloated "shipping" charge AND a mysterious "restocking" fee. Gmpartsdirect.com is coldly efficient for what it is. But what it is - is a scam. Full stop.

Desired outcome: GM sues GM Parts Direct for damaging their brand.

GMPartsDirect.com - selling auto parts that don't work, advertising a return policy that is nothing but a run around.

Ordered a power window regulator for a 2002 Silverado 2500HD 12/8/19. order #1104655
Received the part a week later. Installed in on my truck and it did not raise and lower the window. I was able to repiar the old regulator. I contacted GM parst Direct on 12/16/19 through their web site return policy program. Completed the form and was immedately issued a "suppot ticket #". Was not provided directions what to do with it. No further rosponce so I repeted this again on 12/20/19, again on 12/25/19, again on 12/27/19. When i call the phone number provided on their web site you only get a message that youyhave diled a number that in incorrect. This company is advertising policies and proceedures that false.

GMPartsDirect.com - poor service and shipping

I placed my order in september for two wiper arms! After the gm strike ended I expected the parts to be delivered maybe after a week or two, here I am two months past my order still without wiper arms and my window getting scratched. I placed a ticket in their online system and found out from the manager today that the online ticket system closed my ticket without ever passing by a desk of a customer service associate. I come to find out they just blame everything on gm. They never tried to help with the order at all. They then called me rude I never used profane language or anything. The indicated one of my wiperarms was in stock but not the other and that is why they could not ship. Then the manager indicated that I could cancel the order, which I did. I figured I should just find the parts used in a junkyard before dealing with these idiots. Do not use gm parts direct go aftermarket parts they have poor service and would rather you just take your business elsewhere! : (

On October 28, 2019 I ordered a crankshaft from gmpartsdirect, which is owned and operated by Flow Buick GMC of Winston-Salem, for $190.63 plus shipping, totaling $221.81. GMPartsDirect.com - online sales

I ordered Oe (acdelco) brake pads, was told that they were coming from the factory. They sent me a box from the returns dept, with used, chipped pads from who knows what vehicle. I called them to complain about it, and got an email with some bogus ticket number, which they closed without addressing the issue days later. Will not respond to paypal dispute either. Complete SCAM.

GMPartsDirect.com - online parts order

I ordered a hitch for my truck which the website says is the correct one for my truck. After waiting two weeks to receive the part The hitch does not fit. I have left multiple messages and have received no reply. I have sent multiple e-mails to them over the past few weeks and have gotten no response. No one ever answers the phone. This website is a scam.

GMPartsDirect.com - Don't do business with these people

Site failed when I tried to order a part. Site indicated that technical team was correcting a problem. No indication that my order went through. Next day I received an email that the part was ordered. I tried to cancel the order but they would not cancel. They charge $20 restocking fee to return part and want a lot of information. They try to make it very difficult to return parts. Not customer focused. Despite their website failure, they are determined to make a profit from me. They also doubled charged my credit card.

Don't do business with these people.

AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE IF YOU EVEN GET A REPLY!

"This company has the worst customer service of any online retailer I have ever used. It took over a week to get someone to answer an email and forget about the phone, no one ever answers and they will not call you back if you leave a message or request a call in an email. My biggest complaint is their return policy. I ordered a part through their on line catalog, the catalog picture labeling was wrong and the text was misleading so I end up with the wrong part because of these errors in their catalog. Their response was
"Upon placing a new order with GmPartsDirect.com for the correct part number by our customer service team, we will override the site policies this once and authorize a return for part number [protected], restocking fees will be reduced to 20% from 35%.
Please keep in mind part number [protected] is a special order part and is not returnable. The online catalog is offered by RevolutionParts, a third party vendor.
If the rear manifold pipe is needed a new order will need to be placed for part number [protected] via the website. Please reply to this email supplying your new order number to receive your RGA number and complete return instructions."
I do not feel I should be charged a restocking fee for an error in their catalog, I WILL NEVER USE THIS SITE AGAIN.
