I am writing this review out of deep frustration with LoanCare’s handling of insurance repair funds following damage to our home. Since March 2026, we have been trying to get necessary repairs completed on our property. The repair estimates exceed $20,000, and LoanCare required that the insurance repair check be made payable to them. Since then, they have effectively held the repair money hostage, preventing us from completing the work needed on our own home.
We have submitted the required documents through their portal several times. The portal only indicates whether a document was received; it does not clearly explain whether the document was accepted, rejected, or what specific issue needs to be corrected. This lack of transparency creates endless delays and leaves customers guessing while repairs remain unfinished.
The customer service experience has been equally unacceptable. Reaching a representative requires navigating an automated system with approximately eight steps, only to speak with representatives who appear indifferent and unable or unwilling to provide meaningful help. At every stage, the process feels designed to discourage customers rather than support them.
This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had with any company. We are not asking for anything unreasonable—we simply want the remaining repair money released so the repairs to our property can be completed. LoanCare has delayed, obscured, and obstructed this process for months while our home remains in need of repair.
If refinancing were currently an option, I would strongly consider it simply to avoid having to deal with LoanCare any longer. In my experience, this company has shown no urgency, no accountability, and no concern for the people affected by its delays. I cannot recommend LoanCare to anyone who expects timely communication, transparency, or basic customer care.
Recommendation: Avoid not worth the stress
