La-Z-Boy review: We paid for all real "leather chairs" that are shedding little pieces of???!!!
My husband and I were looking to buy two recliners for our new home. After searching in person to many locations, we finally settled on LazyBoy Burgandy Red Leather recliners. We purchased and paid for the but had to wait over 6 months for them to finally get here and then we paid to have them delivered. Less than 2 years after we purchased our recliners, they started to "shed" little pieces of "leather" from the arms. and on one piece on the top of chair. I tried to get LazyBoy to repair but they refused. It was not until I found an independent furniture repair company that told me that our "leather" chairs are not !00% leather. They also told me the flaking from the arms is because the leather is painted on leather and this is a common occurance with LazyBoy chairs. Lazy Boy lied to us about our chairs being 100% leather and we paid over $2000.00 per chair - in total $4000.00. I visited the store where we bought and waited for them and they said they could do nothing there but that I should try the main outlet store. So I went there and that store said the warranty was only for one year! I would like to know how they would like it if they were treated the same way that we were. MY ADVICE IS TO STAY AWAY FROM LAZY BOY STORES.
Claimed loss: $500.00 for repairs with a different company than LazyBoy
Desired outcome: I would like a refund, or paid for the repairs,or at the very least an apology. I will contact customer service head offfice in Waterloo with a letter and I would like to be paid for the repairs that another company to preform.
