Complaint About Unfair Treatment in the Business Center
I am writing to express my concern about how I was treated by one of your front desk staff members regarding my use of the business center during my stay at La Ouinta on 11/12/2025
The posted rules above the business center clearly state that it is for hotel guests only, that sessions should be limited to 20 minutes when other guests are waiting, and that children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. I am 17 and was accompanied by an adult, and I followed every one of those rules.
While using the computer, I was completing a mix of work and personal tasks—nothing inappropriate or against hotel policy. No other guests were waiting to use the computer at the time. Despite this, a front desk staff member approached me, spoke to me in a patronizing manner, and told me to get off the computer. This interaction was unnecessary and made me feel singled out and disrespected even though I was following the hotel’s posted guidelines.
I would appreciate it if this matter could be reviewed and if your staff could be reminded to treat all guests with courtesy and professionalism, especially when guests are in full compliance with hotel policies.

Claimed loss: Due to this incident, I was unable to complete my tasks in the business center and lost valuable work time. The confrontation also caused unnecessary stress and disrupted my stay, impacting my overall experience at the hotel.
Desired outcome: I request that hotel management address this incident with the staff member involved and ensure proper guest service training is provided.
