Piece of crap extended warranty of king and state
This company is extremely unprofessional and seems like a scammers who are trying to rip of their customers.
We bought highest extended warranties on all our appliances, our microwave has gone bad and still more than two years of warranty is left. It has been more than 18 days and no technician has even reached out to us despite of us calling King & State customer service many times and registering our complaints after opening our original claim 18 days ago. When I called customer service to follow up about status of our existing claim reference number #1192108, they hang up the phone and never call back.
My advice to stay away from this company who are just a group of extremely unprofessionals to the very least, if not scammers.
Recommendation: Never Ever buy Extended Warranty from Piece of Crap King and State company as they are bunch of scammers

Please don’t waste your money on a King and State warranty.
We bought a LG fridge from Leon’s and the freezer didn’t even last 4 years. Lost around $300 worth of food. The repair tech said it wasn’t fixable because these fridges always have problems. They will not replace with a new fridge because it is no longer in production. They will give an instore credit which of coarse won’t be enough to purchase the exact same appliance which apparently is out of production and won’t even want to buy anyway. The credit offered does not amount to the replacement value of the exact fridge. Shame on this company.
Recommendation: Please don’t get a warranty from this company and go to Costco instead.

Bogus warranty
Nothing but a scam... I purchased warranty for an arcade it broke 1. Week into bringing it home 2 years later the gave me a store credit for $615 with purchase of extended warranty and arcade was around $1000 only to find out now I can only use store credit for another arcade.. These arcades r junk and i'm not paying for another warranty that won't cover it anyhow

Do NOT waste your money on a King and State warranty
They will not repair appliance if the cost is too high for them. They will simply lie to you and tell you it is not repairable as it is no longer in production. They will give you an instore credit which you will be an insufficient amount to purchase the exact same appliance (still in production). The credit offered does not amount to the replacement value of the exact same appliance.

Fraud king and estate
Though this seems to be a legit company per complaints board with 87% trust worthiness, this is a fraud scam run with warranty claims denial along with hand in glove partners like The Brick and Leons taking their services. The company does not even have a physical address in whole Canada and have only one overseas headquarters managing bunch of contractors and call agents in Canada to serve warranty claims of appliances been sold in Canada by The Brick and Leons under one parent umbrella company.
I think there should be a Class Action against this company or whatever they call themselves. They just deny every claim without even looking or having a Technician look at it. People should stop buying items from Bricks because why would Bricks see all these unresolved warranty issues that their customers complain and still do nothing about it.

I have been dealing with this stove that has been giving me trouble since last January. The oven wasn’t heating, but I wasn’t home much and I didn’t pay much attention to it but in March I wanted to have the oven so I could cook turkey dinner. It wouldn’t work. So I called you guys for a service call and you sent out a service guy on March 18th to look at it. At that time, he told me the fans weren’t working and a bunch of other stuff was wrong with it and he’d be back to have it fixed before Easter. I never heard anything from anybody until June 5. at that time when I called, I was told that Mike would come out on the tenth to fix that stove. What he did was replace a bunch of parts again and I thought the store is working, but it wasn’t. August 12 he came out and replaced all the computer board again then on the 14th he came and replaced the knobs because they weren’t working. on September 16. He came and replaced the computer board again because something was wrong because on September 13. I went to turn on the stove (the knob on the left-hand side. ) He just replaced it and it shot flames and sparks from it and killed everything on the stove. This time nothing worked none of the burners the oven nothing. I called you guys again on September 13 Mike got a hold of me on September 16 and told me it would take 3 to 4 days to get the parts. I heard nothing from anybody until 27 September.
In the meantime, I was getting very frustrated because I have borders here and we could not use the stove for 17 days. It was totally unfair to have them eating salads and getting takeout because I couldn’t get the stupid stove fixed . I talked to you guys, I talked to trans global I talked to the brick and then finally I called Frigidaire. They said that the way this case was being treated was very unfair. They would’ve had that stove out of there and one brought in that we could use, or a new one if they were going to replace it. and she said if I had Frigidaire warranty that they would’ve taken that damaged stove to warehouse where it could be repaired or disposed of they would’ve never let me go for 17 days with nothing. When I call trans global they told me can’t find an alternate way to cook - that’s [censored] when I pay a lot of money for an expensive stove and I paid extra for insurance in case something happened, like it did. And all the years that I have paid extra insurance, I’ve never had to use it until this.
I just think that the way that you guys have treated me is very unfair. I went from March until 10 June with no oven and now it’s 17 days with no stove at all. When I would call in to talk to somebody they just say well the only work order we have is for June 10 and we can’t do anything. We just have to wait for parts. How come the technician said it should take 3 to 4 days to get parts and you guys took over two . When I talk to you and trans you both told me you had no other record of Mike being there at my house other than on June 10 . He’s been here so many times she knows my house as well as I do. What does he do work for free if you have no record of it.
I have record that he was here March 18, June 10, August 1, August 12, August 14, September 16 September 30. And when I talk to people at trans global they all said we have no record of anything. It all goes to King and state. But King and state told me the same thing they have no record of him being here except on June 10. OK funny, I finally got to talk to somebody who was willing to take the time to help me with this on September 30 from trans global. The technician was here so I put him on speakerphone and the guy on the other end of the line confirmed that you guys had combined invoices [protected] and you put March and June on the same invoice, then you went to August 12 and you put [protected] and 795669 on the same invoice then on August 12 you put one082456 and [protected] on the invoice. This is wrong. In my mind, the only reason you would do that is so you didn’t have to replace this good for nothing stove. Because after three service calls, you are supposed to replace the stove. The brick told me that and you guys told me that. The service guy even put on one of the work orders that this stove is a hazard and should be replaced and you guys ignored it. Now there’s a September 30 invoice what are you going combine that with or are you just going to say did you have no record of Mike being here? This is very disturbing and I think somebody that knows something should be checking into it.

This company is AWFUL. I have a refrigerator that has been freezing and my food, this spoiling it, for over a month. After 3 weeks of back and forth they sent someone out to “fix” it, but it’s still not working.
I have requested it be escalated and no action was taken on their part. I then requested a call from the manager. No call was received now they’re not even responding to my emails.

Refrigerator extended warranty
Today is December 19, 2023. In March, 2019, I purchased (from Leon's) a 4 year extended warranty (on top of 1 year manufacturer warranty) on my LG black stainless french door refrigerator. When I found my fridge & freezer warm (all of my food had to be thrown out), I contacted LG directly (per Leon's instructions). In doing so I was transferred from an LG representative to King & State warranty insurance. After providing all necessary information and a 1 hour hold, they disconnected my call! I called back and spent an additional 1 1/2 hour going through LG's phone prompts and transfer to King Estate warranty. When I was told it would be over 1 week to get someone to assess the issue I asked to speak with a Manager...(who wants to go without thier fridge for a whole week?). I asked if there were any other options to getting this resolved more quickly & I was told that I'd have to get an estimate, send to them (in the Barbados!) And wait for authorization to have a repair done to have costs covered and ONLY then I could get my fridge repaired! This would take about 2-1/2 weeks! Who can go 1-3 weeks without a fridge at Christmas time? I asked very kindly to speak to a Manager and I was repeatedly to (5x) that my concern "didn't warrant a transfer to a Manager"! Then I was told if the explanation wasn't "good"enough they were disconnecting my call (which they did)! I'm disgusted and appauled at this treatment! Leon's and the Brick use this "tax/ law shelteted" company for all extended warranties! My advice? DO NOT PURCHASE FRON LEON'S OR THE BRICK ( if you do...DO NOT PURCHASE THE EXTENDED WARRANTY)! They (nor thier product manufacturers) stand behind thier products!😡😡😡

75 inch Tv
My TV has lines across it and I reported to the warranty company by the name of king and State. They asked me to send a picture of the tv which i did after a few hours, i got a call from their staff, who first of all was so very rude and wouldnt allow me to ask any questions as she will talk over me and continue to talk. At some point when she said she will not be sending out any technician to come look at my tv, i decided to ask to speak with her supervisor but unfortunately, she denied me the right saying that at this time she would not be providing such an opportunity to speak with her supervisor.
This is really sad how these service companies will collect money from you to apply warranty on your product and when there is an issue they will deny you that

Lemon guarantee is a sham
I cannot believe the customer service scamming of this King and State company. Just hung up from a supervisor who accused me of being inept at reading their warranty and she gave me their one sided version of how it should be interpreted in their favour.
-she claims that the Lemon guarantee has pro ration applicable even though it states very plainly that they ‘will instruct the retailer to replace the product’
-she claims that pro ration applies because you have to read the warranty all as one document even though the coverages are individually laid out
-she claims I had an old warranty that was changed literally a month after I ordered/paid for my unified washer/dryer…if I had the other new warranty, this would be different
-she then claims that the warranty that applies is the one that existed the day I ordered the items, not the one that existed at the time I received my product 2 months later
I had 4 major repairs with King and State on this garbage product…plus a warranty claim for the exact same thing with manufacturer a month after delivery….but they sneakily didn’t tell me about the lemon guarantee after the THIRD time !
Now they want to manipulate this even further, my product technology did not advance and price is same now as it was when I bought it.
I have zero contribution for time without use of my machine and paying for laundry done outside (receipts are not given by pay machines at a laundromat lol)
She did suggest that when I purchase a replacement machine with HALF of the cost attributed by them that I should pay MORE for an even better super warranty that is STILL tilted in their favour.
What a scam…guess that’s why they operate from another country so they can be untouchable!

It has been another week and still no one from King and State has answered my email or contacted me in any way since lodging this complaint on December 12, 2023. The only communication made was a “canned” post above on December 13, 2023 that they write on EVERY complaint, they have done nothing since yet they have been provided my contact information to “review” and “provide me with a resolution “

I have sent pictures to Michael on Oct 10 2023 as he ask me. Told me a tech would come to look at it . The tech only came a week later open the oven and said it could be fix. I told the tech that there was a serge that came from the back and he ignore me and said he'll file his report to your company. I waited and nothing , finally I had to call and talk to your call center countless time. Which the employees wasn't friendly or fixing my problem . I got a call from a manager and she ask me to send in the receipt to the new stove I purchase due to I can't afford to eat out everyday and a stove is important in a house hold. The manager call me on Nov 24/23 at 5:33 pm. Today is Nov 30/23 and I had to call back again the rep said that I could;t talk to the manager today and she also
told me that I needed to resend the receipt to the new stove due to they couldn't read the one I sent. The rep I talk to today on Nov 24/23 said that your company also forgets to call back customer due to you have a lot of customer,

LG Fridge
Trying get a working fridge that I paid over 3k for has been a horrendous experience. Imagine a family of 5 trying to go day to day without a functioning fridge.
My fridge stopped working back Oct 25. I called for service on Oct 31. Technician came by my place and after looking into it, mentioned that he needed to order parts. When called back few days later I was told to call the service company because he was just a technician doing service calls.
I called the service company and they told me to call King and State (the insurance providers). I called King and State they need to follow up with management as they don't know the parts are scheduled to arrive, but they have put in a service call for Dec 19.
That's over 2.5 months after my fridge stopped working. Which family can function without a fridge for that long.
When I called back for have the issue escalated the person hung up on me. That's some really [censored]ty customer service.
I don't think I'll ever go back with extended warranty ever. what a [censored] show.

It has been exactly 3 weeks since we had a service - October 19, 2023 to be exact. They had to order parts and it took two weeks to receive it and they came today - November 9, 2023 to fix it but couldn't because the wrong parts were ordered. I have called them multiple times and no one can seem to help me. They offered a credit of $1300 to buy a new one but my fridge cost $3100. I have three kids and we have not had a freezer in 3 weeks. What kind of fridge will I be buying for $1300?
I usually am not a customer who complains but I think I did everything I can do as a consumer.

I purchased Whirlpool Appliances Nov.2020. Delivered March 2021. About 4 weeks ago, noticed discoloration, looks like corrosion, at the bottom of the dishwasher door. I completed an online request for service at King and State. Oct 10/2023, a rep called and left a message, informing that corrosion is not covered under the extended warranty. How can they be sure its corrosion?

Warranty
We were advised that our fridge would be 💯 covered if something went wrong. Not even two years later our freezer drawer has a significant crack (fridge is used by two elderly people who are out of the country 6 months of the year). King & state advised that it’s not covered, even though this is clearly a manufacturing defect. We’re beyond disappointed and frustrated with the lack of transparency and professionalism of this company.

The brick warranty
In July 2023 my dryer stopped drying. I contacted The Brick who referred me to King and State.
I contacted them and they sent a technician out to [censored] my dryer. A week later they made a repair. This did not fix the issue and I placed my second call. They came out again and made a second attempt, this also did not fix the issue. I contacted them a third time and the technician said I need a new motor.
A few days later I received a call from King and State who offered me a $359 credit towards a new purchase. I said “what about the third repair?” They said it would cost more to install a new motor than what the dryer is currently worth. I said “what about a replacement?” They said “your warranty does not include replacement”.
All the information offered by both The Brick and King and State say they will do three major repairs and if that doesn’t fix the issue, will replace with a comparable product. It also promises a “No lemon policy. “ King and State says “yes we will replace by giving you a pro-rated credit at 1%” not an actual unit replacement.
Desired outcome: Replacement dryer or credit for the original amount of the dryer.

65 inch TV-a line appears when the TV is turned on
I first contacted Leon's Crossiron Mills, Calgary location when I noticed a line appearing while the TV is turned on. There is no external damage to the TV. Since the TV was purchased just over an year ago, Leon's asked me to contact King & State. I contacted them and they sent a technician after a few weeks. I have been waiting for this to get fixed, but a few weeks ago I received a voice message from King & State saying that it would not be covered under warranty.
I tried to call them back and requested for a email communication stating why the defect is not covered under warranty. I have not received any response from them yet.
In my experience, Leon's and their third party warranty providers like KING & STATE and ZUCORA are ripping people with their fake promises. They always send a technician but they never fix anything. These third party warranty providers always lie and loot customers money. I suspect this is the game plan by both Leons and third party warranty providers.
I would ask Leon's management to act responsibly and respect people's money and time. It is high time you check your third party warranty providers, because their service is extremely POOR.
I am also attaching a photo and a video of the line appearing when the TV is turned on. It is not an external damage. If this cannot be fixed by your third party extended warranty team, why do you steal hundreds of dollars from people in the name of third party warranty?

It's been 1 year and 6 months that my gas range has a problem, they replacing the item the gas valve and its still a problem. The technician in my area is only. I don't understand your company you must hired more than one technician. I live in Stittsville Ontario and I'm not the only who lives her. I hope you guys replace my gas range.

Samsung cooktop
I bought a Samsung Cook top through Bricks and purchased extended warranty through King and State. After one year the knob got issue and system over heated multiped times and within the manufactures warranty period they fixed the issues instead of changing the faulty machine. The issue was not resolved and exactly after a year this issue came up again and when i contacted King and State as advised by Bricks staff, they informed me that won't be covered under the warranty as it caused due to impacted damage. I would like to proceed with complaint on cheating customers and declining the services without any valid reasons.

Samsung 65 Inch TV
King and Estate seems being the extended warranty provider for The Brick is looting people. Denying claims has gotten to their habit at random running with incapable and non-qualified technicians. We purchased Samsun TV 65 inch from The Brick Store in Hamilton and purchased signature warranty for CAD 210 having a total cost of CAD 1200 approximately. When it came for claim on this TV which has been mounted on wall for a screen defect, they simply deny making false accusations through their technician that its an impact. The Technician seems to be giving fraudulent report and did not explain what cause the TV screen malfunction and touched it so hard that defect increased all of sudden. Customer credit departments called us and said-we deny the claim and it will not be covered in warranty making false claim of impact damage to screen which was never done by us on a mounted TV. They are conducting frauds asking people to buy the warranty first and then just making excuses to deny the claims whichever comes to them. Brick store never explained to us about these issues with King and Estate fraudulency in covering Warranty . We would not have ever bought this warranty.
There is no official listed address for the company on their website neither have any relevant details of their organization. Each time we call- someone new picks up like call agents who gives [censored] each time on the company codes.
Received a call from King and Estate Call center- Again those agents calling and indicating of no appropriate service and mentioning they decline claims. No professionalism when selling these warranties and denial of their claims is highest based on ridiculous fraudster personnel without having any official address in Canada.

Samsung dishwasher
Me and my fiancé bought a Samsung dishwasher about 3 years ago and recently it broke and warranty no where to be found! It’s been 2 weeks since my first initial call was told service would call with an appointment within 48 hours so 4 days go by no call I called again last Monday a week later and was told that they put my service in priority and that someone would definitely be in touch within 72 hours and still no one now I just want them to replace mine with a new one

it bought a TV 2 yrs ago from Leon's, now is shutting off on me as soon as i turn it on, I called on Monday and Michelle wasn't in but I was to send her an email with my issue. called back Tues and she said she would send me an email with the email address phone number and my invoice number, Thurs I called again and she said she sent it I didn't receive anything from her, she asked Daniel(the manager) to email it to me and I received his.I sent 2 claims in and no reply, I tried to call the number he provided for me and it was the wrong number. I emailed Daniel telling him I have had no help with my TV issue asking him if he could pls help me with this issue and he emailed me back giving me the right phone number. Over a week later king and state has givin me the run around as well after emailing 3 claims to the email address provided and hrs on hold I still haven't got my TV fixed.they said they can't find my invoice number in the system
I would not recommend Leon's, they don't care about their customers nor would I ever get a king and state warranty(that I paid 65$)they don't care. So now I have to go buy another TV because I am not getting anything from anyone for help and I have my grandchildren here for a week and no TV to watch before bed
