I repeatedly order Polar Diet Grapefruit soda and set the item to refund if unavailable. The diet and regular versions look similar, so I always leave a note asking shoppers to read the label carefully.
Despite this, shoppers keep delivering the non-diet version or a mix of diet and non-diet. When I report it, refunds are increasingly denied, and I’ve been told I’m making “too many complaints,” even though the mistakes are not mine.
This is an ongoing shopper accuracy issue that Instacart refuses to address properly.
Recommendation: Carefully review every order. Even clear instructions and refund settings may be ignored, and refunds are not always honored.
