Hyundai paint work

I bought my vehicle cash in 2009. From the word go I have had problems but this was resolved eventually. I had a minor accedant this week and took my vehicle to the Dent Dr for a qoute. On inspection they told me that my car was respraid on various places. I have a red vehicle and thought the paint was wearing because of the sun. But I was advised differently. I would like someone from Hyundai to come and inspect the vehicle because it's in a very bad shape.

Hyundai service and repair? yeah right!

Sirs: Recently I needed to take my vehicle in for a front brake job and found out that the lug nuts on the passenger side front wheel were all triped out due to extreme torque. and. and one stud was completely destroyed with no threads and a missing lug nut? So, now I'm left with a very expensive bill? after taking the vehicle to Hyundai in Palmdale Ca., for a checkup while still under warranty? on Aug 9th 2017. Customer #67803, Workorder/Invoice 685765. Service Adviser: Larry Jones.
Can't believe the very unprofessional service and destruction of lug nuts and studs?
Which require a new Axle Hub w/ Studs? Just Great!
Paid $139 Cash and bought new oil pan nut and washers $5.34 for the oil leak they would NOT repair? Thank you.

PS I have all the receipts!

Hyundai no power steering

i have a 2010 hyundai elantra, my eps light came on and my power steering went out.I took it to a dealer and they said it would cost 2500 dollars.I looked on the web and found out this is a common problem with elantras from 2008 to2010, with 300, 000 cars with this problem.I feel the company should issue a recall due to it being a safety issue. My car only has 50, 000 miles on it

I have a 2010 Hyndai Elantra with less than 80, 000 miles. In 2019, the electronic power steering started to fail while driving. It also failed upon start-up, with the light coming on; but worked again upon restarting the car. However, when it cuts off while driving, the steering can’t be controlled. I brought it into the dealer where I purchased and have been servicing the car since. They want about $3, 500 to fix and claim it’s not under the 100, 000 mile, 10 year regular warrantee. I contacted Hyndai corporate and I’m waiting for a call back but it’s not looking good thus far. The dealer claims they updated an EPS software switch recall in 2015. In 2015, I did not have an issue and whatever they did by flicking a switch certainly didn’t prevent the EPS from failing.

Hyundai vehicle broke down engine failure

I had planned a vacation to ocean city, MD in Dec. of 2018. This trip was already booked. As June 2 approached, we were ready to drive the2014 Hyundai suv vehicle and the vehicle kept stalling and not stay running. It would only go about 10 mph. I had called the Hyundai dealership (drivers village in cicero ny) they didn't have a rental and we needed to leave that morning for vacation. I HAD NO CHOICE but to rent a vehicle so I could go on vacation. This was such a stressful event to have to pay for another vehicle and struggle to pay for it. It was not part of the vacation plan. I have copies of proof of the bill . I am seeking the goodwill refund, which is $460.76. I spoke to chris today on july 8, 2019 and he stated I fill this out and I would get my refund. Also im still waiting for the Hyundai to still be fixed to this day.

Hyundai air conditioner

Anyone else having AC issues? I feel like it's too soon to need an AC compressor on a reliable car. I'm 2000 miles over the warranty so I took it to a highly recommended mechanic. I for one can not afford to pay out of pocket for service at the dealer. the fix was $1069 because it needed a new compressor. I took it home and it rattled and didn't blow cold. Then the temperature sensor was replaced. Took it home and it still rattles, which I'm told will go away. AND it's blowing cool air. NOT cold air. Anyone else having AC issues?

Hyundai hyundai wrong car key - grossinger hyundai of palatine

I had bought Sonata Hybrid in November 2016 and is still under warranty. Two months back I just noticed that the second key which was given to me and which I have never used it and has been lying in my drawer all this while was a wrong key given to me at the time of purchase. Since last two months I have been pushing The Grossinger Hyundai of Palatine (dealer) to give me another key and fob but they are saying that the dealership has changed hands and they would not make me another key and fob. I also reached out to the Hyundai case manager and she also declined to solve this matter saying it is a sales issue and Hyundai cannot take any actions in this regards and also cannot ask the dealer to get me another key. This has been going around in circles and I am very frustrated with Hyundai corporation's and the dealer's customer service. The Grossinger Hyundai of Palatine (dealer) has been very unresponsive to various voice messages and does not care about their old customers. They only have sweet sales talk at the time of purchases. Never ever buy any cars from them.

Hyundai lemon

I purchased a 2015 Sonata in 2015. It was returned to the dealer 3 times when the vehicle kept stalling in traffic. On one occasion while driving, I hear a loud non-stop banging from the dash. Again, I went to the dealer after this incident. They can never find anything wrong with the car. I made contact with Hyundai America to file a complaint. A consultant made contact from Hightstown, NJ. to inform me he received the complaint. I was told to make contact on the next stall. The consultant refused to return telephone calls. This continued for 3 months. Several calls were made to Hyundai America concerning this consultant's unprofessionalism. Hyundai America did not rectify the problem. Eventually, Davis Hyundai calls and offers for me to trade-in the vehicle and receive lower the payments. I was afraid for the safety of other drivers and family. I made a hasty decision to trade in the vehicle. The 2015 vehicle was marked "as is!" I am paying for the lemon and the new vehicle. Both the dealer and dealer state, "You signed on the dotted line!" I was only thinking of safety for my family and others. I should not be paying for the lemon!

Hyundai my car was a lemon!!!

2015 hyundai elantra se is a lemon!

We had problems with this car for several years now, it is a (4) year lease. It is one thing after another. We had the car in for several issues. One of the issues the dealership could not even fix the problem when we turned the car back in to them. I made a list of all the issues that we are having with the car.
On november 15, 2016 with 12, 185 miles on the car, we had to replace the battery on it.
On may 22, 2017 with 15, 516 miles on the car, we had to replace (2) tires on the car because the tires were bald.
On november 03, 2017 with 18, 268 miles on the car, we had to replace the other (2) tires on the car because the tires were bald. We had problems with the car stalling. The dealership could not find anything wrong with the car. (1st) I talked to lilly about the sound I was hearing when I started the car, like I did the other times I was in with the car. No one heard the sound. She said to make a tape and bring it in so she can hear it and the tech can hear it too. When we had the car serviced several times, I told lilly about the metal on metal sound. Lilly told the tech to see if he heard anything, but he never did. It is not on any paperwork. She did not note it each time we came in.
(2nd) on january 18, 2018 with 20, 747 miles on the car, we had a problem with a sound when the car starts. When the car starts it sounds like metal on metal clinking. It does not matter if the car is cold in the morning or anytime of the day. When I start the car, it makes this sound. I made a tape of the sound so lilly and the tech can hear it. Lilly played the tape several times and played it for tech. He said he had to hear it from the car to tell where it is coming from. The tech could not hear it from the car at this time.
(3nd) february 08, 2018 with 20, 749 miles on the car, we still having the same problem with the sound when the car is started. When the car starts it sounds like metal on metal clinking. The dealership kept the car overnight. The next day the tech did hear the sound. They tested the alternator and it was bad. They had to replace the alternator on it. Even after the dealership replaced the alternator, I still had the same sound as I did before when I started the car two days later. The replacement of the alternator did not stop the sound.
(4th) on march 20, 2018 with 20, 802 miles on the car, we are still having the same sound when the car is started. It does not matter what time of the day the car is started; the same sound is still is happening. It sounds like metal on metal clinking. I had another tape for lilly, she heard the sound and the tech did not.
(5th) on october 29, 2018 with 24, 829 miles on the car. The sound is still happening. The dealership kept the car overnight to see if they can find the issues I am having with the car. Lilly contacted us the next day. The dealership did not hear the issues I heard, but they will repair what they think is the issues with the car. They just went blind on the issues that I was having with the car. They replaced the starter, the fuel level sender and bracket assy roll rod replaced trans mount. We got the car back on october 31, 2018. A few days later I was driving the car again and it is still making the same sound, metal on metal.
We had another issue with the car since 2016. I told them about the issue, but they never did anything about it or even investigated it. They just looked at me like I was nuts. The issue is this. When I fill the car up with gas the (range for the miles to go) it does not say the same thing each time. One time it will be 301, 304, 299, 289, or so on. Something is wrong with the range miles to go. Just the other day, I put gas in the car. I started the car, the range started at 279 then dropped to 256 before I even left the gas station. The range keeps dropping while I am driving.in 1 mile I go, it drops 4 miles or more. I am not in heavy traffic. I am not speeding or have anything heavy in the car. I do not even know why this issue happens. When I first had this problem, I had to get a new battery. I had the dealership check the battery for me. The battery was fine. This is happening all the time with the range issue. On october 29, 2018 the dealership replaced the fuel level sender. I just wish they took me serious before. They could have fixed this before now.
Now, as you read this, we had to replace 4 tires by 20, 747 miles on it. Replaced 1 battery by 12, 185 miles on it. Replaced 1 alternator by 20, 749 miles on it. Replaced 1 fuel level sender by 24, 829 miles on it. Still having the same metal on metal clinking sound when I start the car. This car is a lemon!
We are so afraid when the car is started is will blow up or catch on fire with my mother or myself inside. Since they can not find a thing wrong with the car. The car is still driving rough. Rougher since we got it back from the dealership.
The car is unsafe. My mom called the hyundai leasing company and told them we will be turning the car in because it is unsafe, and it is a lemon. They sent an inspector out to check the out. The inspector from the leasing company came out to inspect the car before we turn the car in. He noticed when he was inspecting the car that it was running rough. He said it should not be having this issue. He popped the hood up and felt the engine. You could see and feel the engine shaking. He made the statement that the engine should not be doing this. We passed the inspection. We turned the car in to hyundai of new port richey on november 10, 2018.
We will never buy another hyundai again. With all the issues we had with this car and now what is on the news about the car fires. We do not feel it is fair to charge us for the $400.00 fee to return the car. If the car was safe, we would have kept it.in the news it tells about the fires hyundai is having in their cars. They are not being honest with the public about the fires. The sonata, elantra, santa fe, under these conditions we are afraid to keep or get another hyundai car. The elantra se was just serviced, had low miles 24, 829, in excellent condition. The inspector even said that is was in excellent shape. The car was always garaged. We took very good care of it. We hope hyundai will junk the car because it is not safe to drive. We have reported about the car to several agencies. We were told by hyundai employees that the $400.00 is to clean and prepare the car to be sold at an auction. When we returned the car, the car was cleaned inside, washed, waxed outside and a total detailed. We should not have to pay for the $400.00. The car was perfect inside and out. It even had gas in it.
We had lilly the service advisor, karen who has been our sales lady, both said yes, this car is a lemon. Lilly stated this several times that we needed to get out of the car because of the issues we were having. This car is a lemon bev! A manager at the dealership said yes at times we do get lemons. They knew this car was a lemon but did not get us out of the lease, it was too expensive. So, we had to keep the car. They wanted us to get another car from them at the end of the lease. We do not want another hyundai because of all the problems with this one. The dealership is not honest. We asked them about the fires on the hyundai. "we do not have any fires or problems with our cars." three managers told us this when we were getting written up with lilly. She heard it too. But the manager we spoke with let it slip that they did have problems with fires, but he blames the owners and the press. Since we had problems with the car with several issues repeatedly. We had to drive this dangerous car until the lease was up. We parked the car at the end of our driveway because we were so afraid something will happen if we parked it in the garage. We were so scared to drive the car.
We were told when we leased the sonata the fee could be waived if we ever had a problem with the car. We had a sonata, accent and elantra all leased from hyundai new port richey. Karen and the leasing advisor told us this. We were told this every time we leased a car from the dealership. I do not know if it is their practice to say this to everyone or not. But we were told this several times. Since we had problems with this leased car, no one will step up. They keep saying call here or call there. We did call around and went into the dealership about the issues we are having. We get the run around.
Do you really want to trust hyundai new port richey or hyundai wesley chapel under the same ownership scott fink? Or, the hyundai brand. These lease issues happened to us but they still want to charge us the fee of $400.00 for not getting another hyundai.

Hyundai quality of my 2017 hyundai elantra

I have purchased several hyundais over the years but my latest Hyundai elantra I own is the worst when it comes to quality. It is only 2 years old and I am having issues with the drivers side door handle where I have to pull it numerous times prior to it engaging and opending the door. It looks like I am trying to steal my own car everytime I try to get in. Now I have noticed that both of my Sun visors seem to have come apart inside and will no longer stay up. The drivers side is disintegrating and the plastic is coming loose around the mirror. Again this car is only 2 years old and none of these issues appear to be covered under anything as now I am outside of my warranty. I am figuring that this is my last option prior to deciding to trade this hyundai, and I will never buy anther one.

Hyundai rental car reimbursement due to engine recall - case number #15448814

In July of 2014 I purchased a 2014 Hyundai Sante Fe and have had nothing but trouble since then.
Within a year, pieces of the car began to fall off and the car started to drive "roughly" after about a year. I had oil changes done, but there seemed to be no major improvement. By 2016, the car was driving so poorly I was nervous to drive it and eventually stopped driving it for fear that it would shut off in bad location. On more than one occasion it almost stalled and nearly caused other cars to hit me from behind. I took the car to the dealership and they insisted that I did not care for the car and quoted me an $8000 cost to repair the engine. Luckily I learned of the recall and the engine was replaced within a month.

In 2018 the same kind of problems started to occur again and after taking the car back to the dealer, I was told that the engine had to be replaced again. This time because of the extent of the problem, Hyundai was inundated with repairs and I had an almost 2 month wait to get my car back. During that time I rented a car and Hyundai's agreement was to reimburse me for this expense. To date I have not received any reimbursement, nor any communication on the matter from Hyundai. This is unacceptable and unfair to place this financial burden on a customer due to the defect in their product. Not only is the below amount due, but this was charged as an unexpected expense and is subject to interest on the credit card. As a federal employee I was forced to carry this expense throughout a furlough which placed huge financial burden and stress on me and my family.

I have been calling and leaving messages and emailing the case manager to no avail. The following is the information:
 Case Number #15448814
 $1603.70 due

At this point I am requesting your assistance in receiving reimbursement for the above amount. Please contact me at [protected] or rhonda.[protected]@yahoo.com.

Hyundai recalls for 2013 hyundai santa fe sport (vin#5xyzudlb5dg045340)

I own a 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport. Several months ago I almost got killed on the NYS Thruway because my vehicle just stopped. I was there for 6 hours waiting for a Certified NYS Thruway tow truck. It ended up being a recall on my engine. I never received a letter. This was under Recall Campaigns #132 and #162. Now I notice there is a Recall Campaign #180. I never received notice of this either. I found it by plugging in my VIN number to see if there was anything else I should know.. apparently there was. I still owe over $9, 000 on this vehicle and I'm afraid to drive it. I won't take it far distances so I rent cars. My request as a consumer, before I take this problem further, is for Hyundai USA to either absorb my remaining debt so I can trade in the vehicle for a new one or swap this SUV out for one that does not have any recall problems for the same amount due on this current vehicle. This is not a lot to ask of a multi-billion dollar company. I bought this out of good faith and it has been nothing but a financial loss and a horror story. If something happens to me while I am driving this vehicle the liability will be through the roof.

I find it disgraceful that I was not notified of any of these problems and unfortunately I had to experience the horror that I did.

I expect a response to this complaint/request within a couple days. My email address is: [protected]@aol.com

Thank you, Catherine Massoud

Hyundai 2019 veloster ultimate

2019 Hyundai Veloster Ultimate purchased 9/29/2018 VIN KMHTH6AB4KU004066
Heads Up Display not functioning, took in was advised "well it is now"
Took in again made appointment, fortunately it did not function at dealer, demonstrated deficiency.in addition the leather on passenger side was displaying serious signs of wear
R/O open date 3/4/2019 #6248016/1 R/O close date 3/6/2019 HUD unit display replaced and seat bottom replaced $3957.98 later back out. Air bags light on, took back next day issued another loaner {thanks} took a little over 1 week to repair. 3rd time vehicle started up HUD display made bad noise and stuck in upright position. Took back 3rd loaner issued, new HUD display again ordered plus determined by tech dash is warped so new dash ordered as well.
Took vehicle to carmax, they offered me $17500 and noted driver's door had been repainted {and dash is warped?} Asked dealer to buy it back they offered me $17200. The car is still in shop, loaner returned. The vehicle has apparently been compromised, if not been in some sort of wreck prior to delivery. Vehicle has lost over $10, 000 in value in just 6 months. The vehicle has approximately 7700 miles on it.

I'm 57 years old, I do not abuse my vehicles and fell that this is not at all the experience that anyone would expect from Hyundai. I run senior communities, I see a lot of Hyundai and Kias in here, I am saddened this has been my experience
Being in sales and marketing myself I feel that I should be compensated for lose of use, diminished value, or alternatively you can buy the car back for what I owe on it and we part.

I look forward to your response

Hyundai urgent: no service on vehicle

I am an owner of a 2013 Hyundai Sonata. The vehicle was purchased new from Superior Hyundai in Parkersburg WV.

On Friday, March 22nd 2019, the engine died and we had to have it towed to Superior for repairs as it was still under warranty (65, 000 miles). At the time of purchase we also purchased the extended bumper to bumper (10 years/100, 000 miles) warranty. Also, the recent recall for a software update of the anti-knock sensor was performed prior to this failure which added an addition 10, 000 miles to the powertrain warranty.

As of this writing, 6 days later, the car is still sitting in the lot at Superior. According to their service department, still awaiting approval from some regional office to proceed with engine replacement. The mechanic informed me has determined that the engine needs to be replaced and he sent the necessary forms to this regional office Monday morning, 3/25. We are in desparate need of our automobile and would appreciate any assistance you could provide from your end. Thank you.
John Knowlton. 740/373-1445, mobile 740/350-9866.

Hyundai Vehicle problem

Good Day

My wife's Hyundai Accent has been making a noise which is at the right front side of the vehicle. I have taken it to a service center in Amanzimtoti and the advised me that the noise was being made by a defective shock absorber. They made a warranty claim and changed the shock (which is fine by me) but, unfortunately, the noise is still there. The problem is that my wife uses her vehicle to and from work on a daily basis and I do not have the luxury of time to keep on running back and forth trying to get this issue resolved. Further more, the service center does not issue courtesy vehicles to customers. I have also been trying to get hold of customer care to find a solution but every number that I dial on the websites are not in use. I am quite upset at the moment and would like to resolve this issue in a civilized manner. Please could you get someone to call me on [protected], [protected] or email me on [protected]@yahoo.com

Kind regards
Rivash

Hyundai blue

I was lied to by the dealer & told my 2017 brand new Sonata had remote start, it had no push button starr so it did not. So the next year l traded it in on a new 2018 with push button start-bought from different dealer. I still can not get it to work. We now hate this car. Have been lied to twice. Why so you sell these cars? We have lost thousands of dollars on these two cars that my wife over all likes, but we have been deceived so much it makes us ill. Are we ever going to be treated fairly by this company. My sister liked our car I told her no, because of the problems I've been having with you. So she bought a 2019 Camry. Remote start works perfectly. Why do you sell things that do not work? I have called Bluetooth multiple dozens of times. None of it matters; they just cannot get it fixed. We no longer want this vehicle.

Hyundai 2012 hyundai genesis r-spec transmission problems

Hello,

My genesis sedan only has 33k miles on it and I bought it at 21k. I am the 2nd owner and therefore technically outside of warranty, I know this. However, my genesis' transmission has been experiencing rough and occasional slipping shifts every time I drive it. Through research amongst other owners of the same make and model, I have discovered that this issue is quite common in this model year car and that Hyundai has already replaced hundreds if not thousands of these faulty transmissions. When this occurs, it indicates a flaw in the manufacturer's design and I believe Hyundai should take responsibility for that fact and repair or replace the parts under warranty or goodwill if outside of warranty.

A vehicle with 33k miles should not be experiencing transmission problems. Might I note that I also had an issue with my brake ABS hydraulic module on this car as well which I was outside of warranty on, but Hyundai was nice enough to work with me and take care of the replacement under warranty even thought I'm technically not under warranty any longer. So this is not the first major problem/safety concern I've experienced with this vehicle.

I recently, in this past week, went in to get the transmission fluid drained and refilled 5 quarts. I requested they give me a sample of the old fluid for analysis. Well, at 33k miles the fluid should come out bright red and clear. The fluid they gave me was very dark brown, almost black and had the viscosity of water. This indicates something is wrong inside the unit. I am going to have Hyundai test the transmission for diagnosis of internal problems on the 13th of March, 2019.

This problem could cause major damage to the car or myself when driving if it decides to suddenly slip when I am making a turn with oncoming traffic on the way. This makes me feel very unsafe when driving my car.

Specifically, the problem occurs mostly shifting between gears 2&3, 4&5 as well as 5&6 and usually slips RPMs a little from 6 to 7 or 7 to 8. The shifts, when not slipping, will be rough and abrupt. I wouldn't describe it as slamming into gear, but rather a jolt that can be felt in the seat and just isn't as smooth as other gears. I also experience issues when shifting from park to drive, drive to park, park to reverse, reverse to park, or any combination of the described shifts will create a rough clunk when the gear engages. You can also feel a thud when kicking down the accelerator to pass a vehicle as it downshifts through gears.

All of these symptoms on top of a fluid change producing no positive results indicate a problem with the transmission at 33k miles.

I would like Hyundai to diagnose my transmission and in the case they determine it needs replacement, I would like Hyundai Motor America to take full responsibility and replace the unit under warranty as my car is nowhere near the 60, 000 miles criteria even though it is past the 5 year criteria for 2nd owners. This is what they did with my brakes because they felt it was unfair for me to have to cover a design flaw issue in the ABS module when my car is such low miles. This car was marketed as a vehicle that was supposed to last to 100k miles with no issues, thus justifying a 10 year 100k mile warranty. Just because I am a different owner doesn't mean I shouldn't get the same coverage. The warranty is for the car and its' parts - not the driver of the car. I take good care of this car and baby it and am very disappointed in the problems I've already experienced in only 12, 000 miles of ownership. I like Hyundai and their brand and many of my family members and extended family own Hyundais, but if I am treated poorly when bringing up major issues like this that could also potentially be safety concerns for not only myself, but others as well if an accident is caused due to this concern.

Thank you.
