My local bank is transitioning from a Cadence to a Huntington, so I tried to be patient about having to wait in line for an hour to do a wire transfer. I started to be concerned when I realized closing time was approaching and they were locking the doors to keep new customers out, but at that point, I'd invested so much time, I was determined to see it through. Sure enough when I got seen, it was too late to do a wire transfer, so I opted to just close the account and get a cashier's check to take in person to the new bank. This I thought would only take fifteen minutes at the most. It ended up taking another forty because they couldn't get the system to print the check correctly. Exasperated, I decided to close my remaining accounts and get a check for them as well. It cost me a few more minutes, but at this point I was so disturbed by the levels of incompetence I'd witnessed, both with myself and other customers, I no longer trusted this bank to handle a single cent of my money
Recommendation: Do not give your business to Huntington Bank. Do not trust them with a penny of your money.
